What the fcuk is this stupid sh!t? I got suspended yesterday after using the app for the first time, making 1 generic comment and 3 likes. UPLOAD A SELFIE TO APPEAL. what?? okayyy. did that and then Sorry We Goofed! All Good Now. Today all i've done is add follows. SUSPENDED AGAIN! WE NEED ANOTHER SELFIE! but no fix this time, permaban. All those billions spent on Ai and this is what we get. FAIL

I’ve been forced to prove my identity 3 times now and it’s been happening to people I know too. Why aren’t the devs putting anything out about this?

Hey y'all, I found a workaround to have my account "deleted"

I've been trying to delete my Threads account for months, I accidentally enabled it by pressing something on my Instagram, it made the account automatically, and it's tied to my Instagrams Account Center.

I tried to delete it as soon as I noticed, but it required to make a separate Threads password before deleting, this causes a "something went wrong" error after getting the email and typing a password. I couldn't even deactivate, or move my account out of my accounts center.

I changed the username to detach it to myself, and tried almost every week for three months, still with the error. I decided to try something, I went to my Instagram's account center, then 'moved out of my account' from my Instagram, not my Threads.

It then detached my Threads account.

Now having that detached, I still couldn't reset my password, no matter how much I've tried. So I basically randomized my username and other personal info it moved. Blacked everything out, and changed my email to a temp fake email, then deleted the app...

Really hope they made this more streamlined, but posting for visibility, as I had no success with anyone else's 'fixes' and their support was useless. Sorry for the rambling.

TLDR: Move out your INSTAGRAM account, not your Threads account, then use a temp email and forget about it.

I’ve since deleted the app from my phone because the bots are getting out of hand, but the other day I started getting a ton of horrible replies from bot accounts telling me to stfu, calling me a bitch, telling me to lose weight, the r-word, loads of horrible stuff. My post maybe just landed on the wrong side of Threads because I’ve never had this happen before. I’ve had bot replies but not verbal abuse like this. How is this allowed lmao

My post went viral with 100k views and a few thousand likes, but all the analytics are showing 0. And this isn’t even the first time it’s happened. It’s so annoying 😭

This means that parents can have a private account in their Instagram, and if at some point when threads first launched they got the click to set up threads, everything they post in private in Instagram, gets shared in threads if they didn’t turn off cross posting.
There was a mother who posted in her Instagram a post about her son becoming a man and a photo of him without a shirt, and it got shared 450 times, to who knows where. At least one profile grabbed it and posted it along with tons of other photos of children which is disgusting!
Threads is not monitored the same and there are some seriously creepy and disgusting posts on there involving children.

I got locked out of everything due to a phishing email. Threads wanted to verify my age which I did by uploading my ID. Now im all my accounts are disabled. I created a new meta verified account to communicated with live agents. They can't do anything. Anybody dealing with this?

I have been trying to delete my old Threads account for over a month. Each time, it keeps saying that there's an error, I need to create a password. I try to create a password, and it says there's an error there, too, can't create a password. I've tried different browsers, online vs on data, mobile vs desktop vs laptop, it doesn't matter, same errors. Even tried just removing the account from my meta account. No dice.

So I am using an app (ThreadsDelete) to just delete all of the content on it and then leaving it in obscurity. Anyone else dealing with this rubbish?

From what I can tell the search of your own threads is completely broken. I ensure that the search bar indicates that I'm searching "From [username]" and then the search terms after. It mostly turns up completely random profiles certainly not from me and that I have never interacted with. I posted a very distinctive post yesterday and searching for that keywords turns up zero results.

On a PC and Firefox, is there a way to mute the video volume by default?

I click on a video and lower the volume or mute it, but the next video will play in full volume again. It's annoying af.

I'm logged in and all but the volume just resets and doesn't save for the next video.

How do you fix this

Got logged out and now Threads is asking me for a picture of my ID? Nope.

Can a threads community block your account? I use the study threads for motivation/doom scrolling but it’s suddenly disappeared and I can’t search it anymore. I can still see it in my other photography threads account but I have a separate one for study. ☹️

Any ideas on how I can get this back?? Thanks guys

What are the performance metrics in India for threads campaign

Is threads death I know many people who used to use it but don't anymore.

I want to open an account but I don't want to have the Instagram button at the top I see many accounts are not having that, so how to not have it. I have been previously banned by ai on just thread so I am going to create a new account for just thread not Instagram so help me with that.

These people have completely lost control of their app and don't know what the hell they're doing anymore and it's probably because the two guys that run it like to sit and stare at women's boobs all day. That's why they haven't walked in and fixed that app yet, though now when you go to post something even if it's telling a girl she's beautiful these fuckers walk in and literally flag your damn account for no reason at all. The two people that run threads and Instagram need fired because they're not doing their job anymore... And I am going to find a way to get them fire. Somebody doesn't do something about this app

2 days in a row my account got flagged. The first time I appealed and it was reversed. The second time I appealed and the appeal was denied and I was informed my account was disable but I could download my posts.

When I downloaded my data it doesn’t contain ANY of the content of my thread posts. Just like a list of users that I’ve liked and even that is vague.

The thing is that I GENUINELY don’t know why I was banned and had hoped to retrieve my posts to see what may have triggered my banning. I was using my account to mostly discuss grief of loss with other users and as a grief diary.

I would like to be able to access the content of those posts. I’d even more love to have my account reinstated.

Has anyone had this? Videos just stay stuck on uploading. Photos work fine. I tried different videos, Wi-Fi, mobile data, VPN, reinstalling, clearing cache, etc. Nothing helped.

My videos get to around 94-97%, then drop back to 80% and start going back and forth forever.

But here’s the weird part: the same phone, same internet and same video work perfectly on another Threads account. So I guess it’s something with my new account? I already reported it to Threads but got no response. Anyone had this and managed to fix it?

Is it just me who gets it in their timeline ? Videos of people running and getting crushed under the flood waves of Nepal, people standing on their balcony and crying for help until the flood gets them. Like what the actual f... Threads ? How can this slip through moderation ? Why do I have to see this ? No spoiler, no warning, vague descriptions about the content of the video and then you get hit with seeing them die.

I don't have this Problem on insta or TikTok, so why do I get this on threads ?

My threads was hacked after I clicked a link from someone I've communicated with before and trusted (who was probably also hacked), and all of a sudden I was getting emails saying (that an account/email was added to my Threads account). I instantly checked all my passwords for Meta (Facebook and Instagram) but it turns out two of my Threads account were locked out. When I tried to reset my password, it kept prompting me to input a code from an authenticator app that I never set up (even from when I opened my Threads account) and a code from recovery phone number that wasn't mine. Luckily my Facebook profile, and the two Instagram accounts that were connected to the Threads accounts were fine.

I've tried deleting and redownloading Threads and trying to manually type in my usernames and new password but I end up at the authenticator code step in a loop over and over again.

I've been trying for the past 2 hours to try to find ways to recover my Threads account but I think I've exhausted all the methods in trying to recover my accounts.

I also can't find where I can contact Threads/Instagram support to further escalate this.

Anyone have experience with recovering a hacked account?
