AI is ruining my learning.
I feel like within people I know this is pretty common of an opinion but I just feel like its ridiculous how classes are structured within my major. I've had so many classes that are just real miserable. Like, the implementation of AI generated exams, quizzes, homeworks for an entire class I took, another class consisting of 10 minute coding quizzes that require 100+ lines of code to solve that were barely taught in class (changes due to AI, though extremely hard class in the first place), and a third class where I was never lucky enough to attend when he was actually lecturing and would advocate for us to turn to AI instead of him to develop an understanding. it's just fucking ridiculous and if this is how it is now I can't even think about how it's gonna be in a few years tbh...
I feel like its a very open secret amongst people in my major that the curriculum is actually nightmarish, but so many of my professors take pleasure in it and I just feel like this is getting to a point where it's ridiculous and I don't even know how any of these professors are permitted to keep their curriculum, let alone teach full stop. I've lucked out this semester, like my profs are mostly great but all 3 of those classes are for people just starting their specialty classes and I don't like what the AI usage has created when it comes to the way so many of my classmates approach their degree.
