Hello stamp friends! 😊
We’re so glad you’re sharing your mail with the community.
Just a little reminder, While mail art is always nice to see, this subreddit is all about stamps, so they should be the star of every post.
If you’d like to include the back of an envelope or postcard, that’s totally fine—just please add it as the second slide so stamps remain the main focus of r/StampEmUp.
Thanks for helping keep this space organized, stamp-centered, and enjoyable for everyone! 📬✨

We’re so glad you found your way to our cozy corner of Reddit!
This is a place for people who love stamps, sending mail, and all the little things that make snail mail special. Whether you’re sending a letter, decorating an envelope, admiring a new stamp, or simply getting excited about something fun you found at the post office, we’re happy to have you here. 📮
So, what do we like to see?
We love seeing stamps in action—on letters, postcards, envelopes, packages, and mail art. We also love new stamps, fun stamp combinations, interesting cancellations, beautiful designs, and anything that makes you think, “Ooh, I want to put that on some mail!”
And yes, unused stamps are absolutely welcome! If you just picked up a sheet of stamps that you’re excited to use, show them off! You don’t have to wait until they’ve made it onto an envelope. 💌
What we aren’t is a traditional stamp-collecting space. Posts that are primarily about collections or albums aren’t quite what we’re about. We’re here to celebrate using and enjoying stamps, rather than building a collection.
We’re also not a marketplace or exchange group, so buying, selling, trading, swapping, or offering/requesting stamps isn’t allowed. If you’re wondering where to find a particular stamp, though, ask away! We’re happy to help each other track down those little pieces of postage.
And, of course, keep things kind, keep things postal, and keep the stamps the star. ✨
Not sure if your post fits?
Ask yourself: Are the stamps the star?
If they are, you’re probably in the right place. ❤️
Thanks for being part of r/StampEmUp. Whether you’re a longtime mail enthusiast or someone who just discovered the joy of putting a pretty stamp on an envelope, we’re glad you’re here.

Coming and going for a couple days, and I did a private swap for a bunch of my small value stamps I picked up in my last haul for a bunch of 41c mixed stamps.

Today was a wonderful day for mail for me. Very exciting! I received three awesome pieces of mail. The postcard from India was a result of a swap via this subreddit with u/OK_Inspector_4596 and they very kindly enclosed extra stamps for me. AND I feel like I have won the lottery as I was the recipient of the 21 stamps on one envelope! So thrilled! And one postcard sent from another sub to me and that postcard stamp wasn't canceled. Thanks for stopping by to look and comment! It is appreciated!

Blurred the last one for privacy (I forgot to take a picture before writing). Second one’s a hiker/nature lover, third one’s a bear lover, fourth one’s a lover of the 70s and flowers. Themes to match them!

Beam Paints did some great stamp math! I love the stamps they chose, too!

I was planning on doing a few more postcards, but my dog came and gave me her big puppy dog eye (she only has one eye 😅) as she wanted pats and cuddles so now I'm on the couch with her 🐶💜

I find this to be quite an interesting read, especially for those of us who buy on eBay. I hope this is allowed to share here 😊

I bought many sheets of stamps over the last 30 years, not really for the purpose of collection, but when new stamps came out I would buy a sheet. Now that I am downsizing I need to figure out what to do with the unused stamps I have.
I have about 80 sheets of stamps, all with different values like 19c, 22c to 37c, 44c and up, including some forever stamps. This picture shows a small portion of what I have. Most of them are full sheets, may be a dozen or so are incomplete.

What is the best way to use them up?
I had to mail something last week, the postage was $1.75. I put five 37c stamps on it which adds up to $1.85, I went to the post office counter and handed it to the staff, and he looked at it for a few seconds, took out a calculator and was struggling to figure out if five 37c stamps is enough for $1.75.
My thought is, may be I can use it on parcels. If I need to send a parcel and the postage is $30, is it OK for me to put 100 22c stamps plus 22 37c stamps all over the parcel or will this drive the post office crazy?

I was so proud of my animal themed stamp math, that I temporarily forgot how to add and subtract! 😩 Luckily I caught my mistake right before the postcard went into the mail slot. I don't have an after picture, so you'll have to take my word that the correct postage is affixed, and the card is on its way!

Sent off to make some maxicards from a pictorial postmark... and they didn't cancel the stamps...? Also, the post it notes they used were super strong... but also were over the stamps not the cancellation and all the adhesive stayed on the card when I pulled the post it off... weird.

Outgoing mail from this past weekend (I went on a bit of a writing spree...) and from a couple of weeks ago.
