Is that a real screen that can detect handwritten letters? If so, that is impressive technology

u/justinlav 6h ago
It doesn’t surprise me that it exists, more so that I haven’t seen it yet

The C appears before he starts writing, so it's definitely just a pre recorded screen
That would be super cool though

its a smartboard..
kinda weird to use it like that, its mostly used in schools.-9
u/bwoah07_gp2 6h ago
I remember those tried to take off in the 2000s, and it didn't. Nobody adopted it besides a handful of teachers.

u/KebabGud 6h ago
the ones from back then are not really the same as the ones now, now its just a big TV with a touch layer and some software.
Not sure where you are from but its pretty much standard equipment at schools and meeting rooms in offices where i live2

My kids classrooms have had short throw projector based smart boards that can do this for at least 10 or 12 years. This video is faked though, but if a coffee shop could afford touchscreen displays for menus then they are charging too much.

Ya it is, try using your phone keyboard to swipe to type, better yet smartboard technology is in most schools and business

Hitachi had this tech figured out back in 07, maybe 08. They used a projector, and a pen that did the same thing as this tv. I dont remember what projector it was, but shit I wouldnt be surprised if we had holographic tech figured out 5 years ago, maybe even 10. Still really cool though!

Anyone else think that this was going to be a prank video where they tell the n00bie to cross off the out of stock item on the screen?

In the context of “protecting Russian sovereignty” Mr Medvedev (aka vice president and alcoholic) suggested that americano should be called russiano in Russian cafes

Throwback to Dmitry Medvedev's patriotic idea of having a Russiano instead of Americano.

It reminds me a story when Russians renamed it to "Russiano" in 2016 as an answer to the western sanctions.
At the same time the (unconfirmed) story of the name "americno" became popular (during WW2 American soldiers who stayed in Italy were adding water to espresso so Italians laughed at them and called the resulting donkey's piss after Americans). So canadiano is a mockery of Canadians

But it's an Italian drink named after the style of coffee Americans like to drink, not after how Canadians like coffee.

u/smurfk 6h ago
It's a joke based on Trump renaming the lake Ontario.

u/Luigi_Caleetusi 6h ago
Still disrespectful to my culture
2
u/Lucky-Mia 6h ago
Lol, like your culture shows others respect? If anything it's a homage to Americano culture
-4
u/Luigi_Caleetusi 6h ago
America was named after an Italian stronza .
4
u/Roallin1 6h ago
Is not. The Americano came to be during world war II with American soldiers stationed in italy. The baristas would water down the coffee because that's how Americans drank it and thus the name became the Americano.

Do you have functioning eyes?

u/carstic18 6h ago
Well, usually, you can’t write something on a TV and letters appear automatically

u/Potential_Spam_6969 6h ago
FYI genius looking with his eyes, that's a monitor, not a touch screen.

Looks more like a Lungo though. An Americano would be an espresso shot with hot water added. A Lungo however is an espresso shot brewed with double the amount of water and a longer extraction time.

Its crazy how triggered canadians have been over the lake thing.
Its still the same name in their country. Its stupid, but it has zero effect on their lives

u/5minArgument 1h ago
I imagine it more to do with the US demands to “end Canadian sovereignty”…That, and maybe the intentional sabotage of their economy.
