This is AI generated by chat, gpt. I simply described the question and i can assure this is exactly how it was on my math M1!

I havnt seen anything like it before and that threw me off. Was this experimental or has it been there on previous tests before?

Take AP Lang

If the AP Language & Composition teachers at your school are good, I recommend taking this class because then it doubles as advanced SAT reading training. The MCQs on AP Lang are a lot like SAT reading except a LOT higher-level, so if your teacher can adequately prepare you for those, you will be 100% ready for the SAT. Before taking the class I had below average skills for reading/writing due to a complete lack of interest and experience, and yet when I took the SAT in december when I was in AP Lang, I got a 770 on reading.

Crying non stop before test results

Honestly I don't really know what to do now. Score release is in less than 11 hours and I'm freaking out. I've been crying every few days for the past 2 weeks. I'm just a nervous wreck all because of the stupid SAT. I've retaken it 5 times and I really really really need a good grade. I literally got a 140 point improvement between my 1st and 2nd attempt. My score stayed the exact same between my 2nd and 3rd attempt and then it went down by 30 points on my 4th try. I've been studying for a minimum of 4 hours/ day for like 2 months. I finally got a tutor (I didn't want to have to pay for one but I was honestly so incredibly desperate). I've never studied more in my life. I'm a full IB student and was self- studying for AP exams so I honestly never had any time to just dedicate to the SAT, but I think the summer relaly helped. But what if I just wasted all of that time for absolutely nothing. Like I have 4.0 GPA and multiple 7s and 4s and 5s but for some reason I just suck at the SAT. Like I desperately need a 1500+. I have to take the UCAT and the CASPER and a million other tests and I genuinely don't have the energy, mental capacity or anything to have to retake this for the 6th time. Like I actually feel so dumb. I just need this so bad and I can't get myself to do anything except ball my eyes out. I'm beyond exhausted and burnt out. I just need to be done with this test. I signed up to take the ACT but I barely have anytime to learn how to take a whole entire new test. I just NEED to be done. Like I genuinely have zero time to re-study for this and wasted my entire summer on this test. I'm just SOO LOST and genuinely need any advice. Thanks everyone.

About Mock Scores...

Just a reminder to not take practice tests too seriously. Results can be very volatile and can give unaccurate benchmarks. So do not make it define your readiness or preparation.

August SAT scores come out in less than 12 hours and I’m terrified to check

sorry for writing this much

It’s 2 AM here and the August SAT scores come out in less than 12 hours.

I genuinely don’t know if I’ll be able to open the score.

This was my 5th and final SAT. I’m an international student, and English is my third language. My English score has always been my biggest weakness (around 580 at best), and I honestly have no idea how I did on this one.

My highest SAT score so far is 1320, but I desperately wanted a 1500 this time. I’ve had a lot of constraints throughout this whole process, including some difficulties with my parents, and just getting to these exams has sometimes been a struggle.

I know a score doesn't define me, and I know there are other parts of my application that matter. But I’d be lying if I said I don’t care. I’ve spent so much time thinking about this number that seeing anything far from 1500 is going to hurt.

And because this is my last attempt, there’s no “I’ll just take it again.”

Part of me wants to check immediately when the scores release just to get it over with.

Another part of me wants to wait until Monday, enjoy the weekend, and pretend the score doesn't exist for two more days.

Would you guys check immediately or wait? 😭

And to everyone else waiting for scores: good luck. I hope we all get the score we’re praying for.

I'm so scareddd, how to distract myself

Upvotes

When i gave it I felt really good about my august sat i thought it went really well and so i didnt register for september saying that if i need to then I'll give it in october, but now its been so long that i dont really remember everything in the test so my brain is convincing me that it made it all up and it was actually not that good and the thing is i didmt study more for it because i was very confident so I've forgotten everything and if i have to give it again ill have to start prep from scratch

I also really dont want to give it again because i'm in the second year of a levels and i really need to focus on it

AHHHH IM SO SCARED WHY ARENT THE SCORES COMING OUT YET

1500+ scorers, what do you wish you did differently when you were starting out?

Other than the usual advice like starting each R&W module from the 16th question, doing Bluebook QBs/tests, reviewing mistakes, etc., are there any tips that you think actually made a big difference?

Maybe something about R&W, time management, or just anything you wish you had known earlier?

Help with advanced math

With 8 days left for the sat, i cant bring myself to understand the entirety of advanced math. After doing khan academy, i had moved on to the question bank for the entire domain. I expected improvement but i go blank on every single hard/medium question. It’s like they pull the technique out of their ass and expect you to know exactly what to do for a bazillion types of questions. I’m defeated. This brings me to my question. What do i do to improve specifically on the advanced math domain?
