3 month old ridgeback - couch potato?
To be fair, she had a 13 hour ride from Ohio and got here on Monday morning at 2am.
Outside she is completely different. Jumps around, bites ankles, tries to eat everything. Inside and doesn’t do anything but sleep! Which I’m grateful because I’m sleeping at night 🤣
Is this normal? She has her first apt on Thurs afternoon but i’m thinking she’s still adjusting?

Eat, sleep, run. It’s exactly why I got a ridgeback in the first place. Very happy to curl up while you’re watching TV, but jumps up the moment I’m going out to mountain bike!

She’s a nugget! I’ve got a 10 year old couch potato. But like others said, she’s got a lot to do between growing and adjusting to a new home. If she’s still interested in eating and walking, she’s good.

This is great! And tbh if she stops napping so much you may benefit from starting to enforce it. So if she’s doing it on her own that’s awesome and should help you keep her temperament in line. For the pup I always found that the mental tiredness of training was always effective once they get to a point where the physical tiredness from running around stops hitting so hard. Nap on!

Standard Ridgeback!
Lots of go when needed but at home loves their naps and comfy space!!
Expect 23 hours of sleeping per day for life! 🫡
And a best friend :)

Growth spurt. They sleep more. Give her a week, then she'll "wake up". Sleeping through the night is normal at this age. Most of mine were sleeping through the night at 12-14 weeks.
