Rules Reminder!

We love seeing the recent increased activity in this sub! Whether you're drinking the worst or best cup you've ever made we're here to rate it.

That being said - we are going to start removing posts and comments moving forward that don't follow the sub rules. They are pretty simple and most people are keeping with the intent of the sub. If you see something that goes against the rules or you aren't sure, click that report button.

Must be a picture of tea. Easy enough - if your post does not have a picture of liquid tea, it will be removed.

Include a description. Whether it be part of the original post or a follow-up comment, add the details about what we're looking at. Tetley with cow's milk no sugar? Great. Yorkshire gold with some oat milk and splenda? Perfect. If we don't see that information in your post, we'll temporarily remove the post until the information is added or you repost with that info.

No spam or advertising. This one is straight forward - don't channel people to your off-site videos, don't advertise your tea.

Be respectful. This is the one we've seen a large uptick of reports with and banter in comments. This is a tea rating sub. People are going to be snarky. My cup of tea is not your cup of tea, and that's ok. If someone wants to use a plant based milk and you want to make a single comment about it - that's fine. If you continue to attack someone based on their choices, make personal attacks, etc., action will be taken.

White Tea Yue Guang Bai followed by Black Gold Bi Luo Chun from Yunnan Sourcing

I got tea high.

Yue GuangBai, used 7grams on a 150ml gaiwan. It was solid, fruity, thick, herby, and it literally puts you in a very meditative state. Had it while having dinner.

Black Gold Bi Luo Chun, used 6grams same gaiwan. Sweet, heavy, thick, smooth and just right to end my whole day tea'ing session lol.

The pure essence of roasted sweet potatoes.

That's just my take.

Quick steeps at 6-7g on a 120ml gaiwan. Used 190f for temperature is what i found the best temp for my taste.

I'm surprised to say that this tea does actually taste like a Victoria Sponge but not so overwhelming as to be unpleasant, quite nice. I have the Breakfast Brew & Bakewell to try next once I am finished with the Victoria.

RULES

Tea-centric Content 1 - all posts must include an image of a mug, glass, cup, or other liquid-holding vessel, and said vessel must include tea (a brewed hot or iced liquid) and each post shall in good faith make an attempt to be an image of something that is optically discernible as tea

Format 2 - the format for the posts shall be as follows: tea brand, time brewed, milk added, sugars added, honey added, lemon added, etc and a description of foodstuffs consumed with said tea Example: Yorkshire Gold, 4 minutes, splash of milk, 2 sugar cubes, jammie dodgers

Other Beverages 3 - no beverages other than tea shall be posted.

Violations 4 - any blatant, brazen violation of the rules of this sub will result in a 90 day ban. any mistake that was made whilst trying to make a good faith effort to contribute will be examined by the mods and no action will be taken.

Addition of Location to Post 5 - a location may be added in brackets to the post. It does not have to necessarily be a geographical location. For example one may indicate they are at work (at work), in Paris (Paris, France), or home (at home)
