Meet K9 Officer Trenton Garner of the Cedartown Police Department.

While trespassing on private property without a warrant or notice, Garner came face-to-face with an "existential threat": HeeHaw, a friendly, 1-year-old miniature donkey who was bottle-fed, raised inside a home, and worked in children's petting zoos.

HeeHaw did what any socialized pet does when someone enters his pasture, he Rebrayed a greeting and walked over looking for affection.

Overwhelmed by blinding cowardice and a total lack of situational awareness, Officer Garner decided a miniature farm animal was a mortal danger. First, he tased the baby donkey. And when that wasn't enough, he pulled his firearm and shot the baby dead in his own home pasture.

Instead of facing his cowardice on the spot, officers were sent to the house after the fact to inform a family that police killed their pet on their own land.

Now, Trenton Garner gets a paid taxpayer vacation on administrative leave while department brass scramble behind closed doors to quietly shuffle him off to another agency.

If an officer panics, pulls a gun, and executes a bottle-fed miniature donkey for braying in a field, he is an absolute hazard to the public. He shouldn't be transferred, he should be stripped of his badge, fired, and prosecuted for cruelty and destruction of property. Period.

Demand Accountability: Contact the Cedartown Police Department and the Mayor's Office. Demand the immediate termination and decertification of Trenton Garner.

I keep making these huge lists thinking that if I write everything down, I’ll somehow become motivated enough to do it.

Then I end up doing one easy task, checking my phone, getting distracted, and feeling guilty for the rest of the day.
