Every school I know of already does this, because they use the schools as voting locations. Public schools, anyway. Other than private schools and that one state where all voting is done by mail, I don't know of any schools that aren't closed on election day. Unless you meant colleges.

That’s pretty great! How about employers? I guess my overall point is that if the federal gov really wanted the masses to vote it would make registration automatic like selective service and election days would be more important.

There are already laws in place requiring employers to give people time to go to the polls. What you're asking for already exists.

Also, something like 46 states already have various methods of early voting so that you don't have to take election day off. People are just fucking lazy.

3 kids, different ages, different public schools in FL. All 3 schools open on Election Day. Open as in, school is in session.
