Hilarious that /r/SipsTea locked and removed this exact same post for no reason:

Guess it wasn't sexist enough or too anti-Trump or something.

Well I’ll give trump this, my truck was never worth this much with a full tank of gas under Biden! That’s a good thing, right…?

Never got above $4/gal where I live under Biden. Don't even remember a single time I looked at gas prices and thought to myself, "damn that's expensive". It's currently $5.29/gal at some of the cheaper locations. MAGA freaks are responsible for all of this, and every normal American should remind them every single day what a failure they are in life.

29

u/Powerfury 22h ago

Lots of MAGA are abandoning Trump like the rats that they are. Look how they pulled down their flags after Jan 6th and went into hiding, only to vote for him for the 3rd time and want to do a 4th.

8

u/DailyUnderFlow 19h ago

There was a house near me that for 8+ years had dozens of trump flags and posters on their fence for everyone to see. Also they lived right across from an elementary school. So they were promoting a pedophile across the street from a school...

Well all their dumbass flags and signs are down now. But everyone still knows that they're mentally unstable morons.

2

u/Powerfury 19h ago

More like spineless magats that come out the ground to wiggle gleefully in whatever chicken shit Trump spews on that given day. And what does it get them? Ate. But WINNING!

Gas more expensive? No problem! Groceries more expensive? No problem! Housing more expensive? No problem! Gaming more expensive? No problem! We loooovvve simping for a whiny lying billionaire conman that plays us for fools constantly!!!

7

u/wetbluewaffle 20h ago

Thats sort of a good thing, I would rather them realize him for the pile of crap that he is as opposed to clinging on and doubling down that he is so amazing. Still, I run into people often that believe he is America's only savior. Mostly super christian hypocritical boomers but they are still a force to be reckoned with when its just so many of them where I live.

4

u/Adezar 18h ago

Most don't vote FOR Republicans, they vote against a fake version of the Democratic party they hear about in their media.

The do vote FOR Trump because he "tells it like it is" and tells them being an asshole is actually a good thing, but they will still vote R out of fear of things that don't exist.

2

u/Successful_Maize1986 18h ago

All of these people will vote for Vance in 4 years. My in laws voted for Trump in 20 and 24 and are now appalled at how he is running the country (who could have known this would happen?). They will 100% vote Republican next election.

And no intelligent person put 100% of Putin’s war as solely Biden’s fault. The tariffs and Iran war are clearly directly all Trump’s own actions, not market reaction to a global conflict or global pandemic that was going to happen regardless of the American president.

3

Also every other staple item at the grocery store is about 50% more. Yeah, a big whoop-dee-fuckin-do that eggs are 99¢ off.

The MAGA cultists who keep insisting “Tump says the economy is great” are delusional scumbags (or bots).

2

u/Orange_Tang 18h ago

When the gas prices went up some with Biden someone went around the gas pumps around where I live and put those little “I did that” Biden pointing fingers. Then when it went down below where it started they went back and scratched them all off

→ More replies (4)

6

u/Levintry 23h ago

They will just manipulate numbers, when most of us know numbers can be manipulated to fit whatever narrative you want.

The only numbers that matter to me:

Biden last day of office gas: $2.24

Gas now: $3.76

2

u/wonderinboutit2234 20h ago

That's not comparable either. Although thanks for proving the point that it's really not THAT different between them.

3

u/Levintry 19h ago

That's a 67.8% increase, I wouldn't say by any means the difference isn't "THAT" different.

6

u/AFlockOfTySegalls 22h ago

It's wild to me that maga willingly doesn't understand that Biden had no hand in the gas price spike during his administration. And at the same time they praise the gas price spike that was literally created by Trump because it confirms their alternate reality of Iran creating nuclear winter.

I hope these people really don't vote when he's gone.

→ More replies (1)

5

u/moyismoy 22h ago

Here's the thing when gas shot up under biden, it was impossible to stop. It was post covid, nobody was pumping enough gas to reach the supply needed for the increased usage, and it took about a year to turn on the wells needed to do so.

Mean while Trump made this crisis all on his own

→ More replies (4)

4

u/keeper_of_the_donkey 21h ago

MAGA keeps trying to push the narrative that gas was $5 a gallon under Biden, which is true, but because of covid recovery and Russia's invasion in Ukraine, which are two things that were completely and totally not his doing, or under his control. Gas is high under Trump, directly because of fucking Trump, and literally there is no way to blame anyone else.

4

u/So-shu-churned 16h ago

Whole lotta MAGAts in here with "BUT BIDEN!". The key difference is gas spiked over 5 / gallon because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Gas is spiking under Trump because he's a fucking dumbass that thought Iran would be a cakewalk.

3

u/whatthefunthisis 23h ago

I actually think many of them are seeing past Trump now. There will always be diehards

3

u/OpticalPrime35 22h ago

And Biden actually worked to lower prices when it happened. Trump couldnt care less about your financial situation he has already said that many times now. They have done nothing to help the situation they are seemingly only wanting it to last longer ( can't imagine why )

If I had to guess we are now this high in national average for a longer stretch than under Biden. It's been over 4 since March with only brief moments at like 3.97

3

u/Salty_Penalty3119 22h ago

People that truly think this way are the reason why our country is in a mess.

Its like these maga idiots didnt live through 2021-2025. Were prices high? Yeah, covid did that, Biden didnt do anything specific like illegal wars or bone head tariffs that directly raised the prices of goods and energy.

2

u/viggy96 19h ago

Fuel fluctuated between $2.75 and $3.50 before during the Biden years and prior, and now I can still get fuel at $3.50 in Central Texas.

2

Wild how most people in my "purple" state were so loud about gas prices under Biden but blame oil companies under Trump. Really makes me question my decision to keep my family in such a delusional country

1

u/ItsWillJohnson 20h ago

I need to tell people every chance I get - rising gas prices has a much smaller impact in your income than losing your job, or stagnant wages, or changes to retirement plans, or healthcare expenses, or local, state, or federal tax policy, or rent, or mortgage rates, or inflation..vote accordingly.

1

u/WarpigReborn 20h ago

I voted against this insanity, and I will continue to!

Whatever it takes to regain our humanity. 🫡

1

u/Different_Brother562 20h ago

Both presidents had gas in the $6 range for where I live. This probably only works if you take Bidens low and Trumps high. Now you can argue that Biden didn’t cause his and Trump did and I’d agree but lying about the numbers doesn’t help the argument.

1

u/StiffyD30 20h ago

To bad that was under the sleepy administration but good try tho 😉 we all know who had they hand in the cookie jar so too speak all the Democrats are lost and have no way of knowing anything anymore

2

u/Bosch800Refrigerator 20h ago

If we all know who had their hand in the cookie jar, then it should be easy to explain exactly how they caused the price change, right? That’s the part worth thinking about instead of just assigning blame.

1

u/Comfortable_Main5400 20h ago

You know gas wasnt anywhere near $2.86 under biden. Why lie?

1

u/Hopeful-Age3694 20h ago

And yet, gas isn’t that expensive in places outside of California.

1

u/EmergencyCroissant 19h ago

The error here is assuming everyone that got rugpulled by Trump doesn’t regret their decision.

1

u/Admirable-Mention728 19h ago

They love to imagine getting fucked by Biden while giving head to Trump.

1

u/CTG649 19h ago

I mean the Biden image isn't accurate as it was also over 4 bucks. Just because Trump has gotten worse doesn't mean it was good.

1

u/ThoughtOk6969 19h ago

The important difference is we weren't having a major war interfering with the import of oil under Biden. Not to mention the way Biden handled the pull out of Afghanistan gave high tech American equipment to the Taliban. I don't like the war with Iran, it's basically a distraction from Epstein's Island, but those things should be accounted for when comparing the two administration's.

Also I remember the gas prices basically being 4-5 dollars under Biden too.
