Years ago, I used to play split-screen on the Xbox 360 with a friend and loved it. Whenever I installed it, I kept getting a "Steam not running" error and couldn't get it to work at all; the Goldberg steam_api finally did the trick.

Hi! I usually get my games from fitgirl, but I recently tried Ankergames and noticed that some downloads include a separate launcher.exe.

For example, Mafia: Definitive Edition includes both launcher.exe and MafiaDefinitiveEdition.exe. The website recommends starting the game through launcher.exe, but the main executable appears to launch the game directly as well.

Does anyone know what the launcher actually does? Does it apply required settings, arguments, dependencies, or fixes or is it simply an optional shortcut?

I’m genuinely curious about its technical purpose, so I’d appreciate an explanation rather than a discussion about which download site is better. Thanks!

v3889 of GTA V with RUNE crack keeps giving me this error even though I installed it properly, even with Windows Defender turned off.

Can anyone help?

It's really not that difficult:

1. ⁠If no Denuvo, available immediately, using the steam bypass (like goldberg emu) (not a crack!).
   
2. ⁠If Denuvo: A. Hypervisor bypass (it is NOT a crack) available rather fast (from a couple of hours to a couple of days).

B. A crack by voices. A couple of days to a couple of months, depending on the popularity and their time/desire to do something about it.

1. If Denuvo is removed from the game (from a few months to a few years), see 1.

Hello so I have downloaded elden ring 1.16, with the dlc and.also have the convergence mod.

So I downloaded silksong from fitgirl repacks, at v1.28324, wanna update it to v1.3.0. I see the update links on the fitgirl page but not exactly sure how to use them. OS is windows 10

I’ve recently been using the Hydra launcher with all the download links from FitGirl, Dodi ... The thing is, I’m not really sold on having to use a launcher, I just want desktop shortcuts, plain and simple. I know I could just keep using Hydra as an installer to download the games and then play them from my desktop, but I was wondering if there’s an app that handles that directly, that lists the games and lets you choose which site to download them from without having to look up the page yourself using a VPN, search for the game, and all that manually.

im playing a cracked version of blade and sorcery while using a mod called dragon follower, but none of the voice commands are working and i want to check if its beacuse the game is pirated. can anyone else who has a pirated version of this game test it and see if this mod is broken for them too?

got the game from steamrip

I'm trying to get deathloop working on the steam machine, i got it from steamrip, and when i try to launch it with most proton versions, it doesn't do anything, putting it on GE-Proton11-5-x86_64 pops up with this (see below) for a split second and then disappears

And trying to launch it using Proton 4.11-13 is the only other version to give a result, and it just shows this

Getting into basic DDL piracy and I'm wondering why theres so many people saying megathread sites arent safe. Downloaded from both SteamRIP and AnkerGames and I see so many people in "is it safe?" threads saying these sites are not. Are these people in the 1% that this doesnt work out for or perhaps theyre anti-piracy?

So after my previous post, where I talked about how SteaMidra isn't working for me unlike Windows version, a lot of people recommended me to use enter the wired's ACCELA.
However this doesn't work either. For example I tested two games: Mirror's Edge, and OG Final Fantasy VII.
No matter what I do, no matter how long I wait, it doesn't add the game to Steam.
Is there a way to fix this?
