I bought this beautiful Soda Pop Blue pro gear today with a music nib and I have realized after writing a few pages, that it's just much too broad for my taste. I'm hoping I can find a Sailor music nib enthusiast out there who would be open to trading their 21 k pro gear nib for my music nib. I'm open to any size smaller than music, and I don't want a Zoom either for the same reason. If I can be picky, I'd really like an F or MF.

A beautiful, glassy urushi finish on a twisting faceted body. I purchased this from Taccia at the San Francisco Pen Show in 2022, before they had fully launched the Palisades line. It's an artist proof numbered 00/33. There are a few very light scratches around the section. When I first noticed them a few years ago I examined the cap and brushed out a small burr that may have been the cause, but I'm not sure. There have been no scratches since then, and I'm confident it's not an ongoing issue. In most lighting they aren't very visible. The rest of the finish is pristine. I've probably spent as much time just twirling it in the light and admiring it as I have writing with it.

Pineider Alchemist Kilauea Blue Zeolite - Medium steel nib

Rating: [C] - There is a scratch on the bottom side of the pen right where the edge of the cap sits. It is visible in the included photos. When capped and when writing you don't see it. This pen is made from Pineider's Zeolite material which is similar to Visconti's Lava material. Box and papers as pictured are included. Pen did not come with a converter but I have included a Schmidt converter because I used the supplied cartridge.

I have (pictured) a Wahl-Eversharp Doric gen 1 fountain pen, with the #7 adjustable 14kt gold flex nib in the rarest color “Morocco pearl”. I purchased this just days ago from someone locally who does restoration on vintage FPs. I was truly smitten as soon as I saw it, which led to me purchasing it when I definitely should not have. Let me explain — I am brand new to fountain pens (like, I started less than a month ago) and I now own a pen that is really out of my league of FP knowledge. I love this pen, I showed pictures to all of my FP friends & acquaintances and everyone was obsessed. However, a friend made a really good point that I am still so new to FPs, I have no business owning a pen this nice (especially with a WET NOODLE FLEX NIB like this) without at the very least trying out a wider range of FPs and gaining some knowledge. Because of this, I have come to the decision that I need part with this pen.
I purchased it from a local antique booth where a guy does restoration on FPs, and he guarantees all his pens. I have written with it once (see video). It’s really stormy today and my verification images are kind of dark, so I’ve included other pics/videos of the pen with flash so you can thoroughly see the condition. I would rate this C+ because of the restoration. I’m really scared of the flex nib, so I’m sure someone who knows what they’re doing could produce a better performance with this pen than I did in the video.

For sale are some interesting pens and parts in varying conditions.

1. Montblanc 25 Safety pen [D]. This is a very rare vintage Montblanc, and is highly collectible in good condition. This one is a user-grade example, which, according to the previous seller, has been serviced. It writes well, doesn't leak, and has nice dark hard rubber. I am discounting it heavily for the following reasons: 1. The pen is personalized, showing the name "Erwin Witte" engraved on the cap. 2. The two cap rings show some plating flaking/loss, as seen in the pictures. 3. It doesn't have a clip, which was normal for pens of this era but the original clips raise the value significantly. Imprints are visible, a little worn but totally legible, and star has a nice ivory patina. Nib writes beautifully and has flex. Since it's a safety pen, some ink accumulates in the feed when the nib is unscrewed, so it's super wet. This pen is quite rare--an example is listed here unpersonalized and with clip for $2995. Since this one is personalized and user-grade, I'm asking $1300.

2. Conid Titanium nib unit [parts]. Full Conid TI size 8 Bock nib unit, medium, well-tuned. Asking $225.

3. Conid Steel nib unit [parts]. Full Conid steel bock nib unit, medium ground to a stub. Asking $50.

4. Sheaffer Targa black [D]. User-grade condition--lots of scratches, some parts showing the metal underneath the black coating. Writes beautifully with a 14k waverley nib that appears to be a fine. Asking $60.

I bought this initially for my collection as I was really into fountain pens and heard that this pen was discontinued. As things go, I find myself getting into other hobbies so I am looking to rehome this pen.

As for the pen itself: It is a very BEAUTIFUL piece with no scratches. It writes a wet and smooth western fine line. The pen has a nice weight to it.

I'm going back to college and I need money to fund my study so I'm parting ways with my very precious pens. They have been inked, but I rarely use them and they mostly stay inside a box.

First about the M800, it has an F nib which writes like a Japanese M nib. I really like the color and it's kind of hard to find this particular color where I'm from.

And the Realo 1911L Tenkuu Gensou. This model was only available in Japanese domestic market, and it is now discontinued. I really think it's impossible to find this pen in this condition for sale anywhere else.

I am sort of new to the fountain pen world. I’ve always used cheap fountain pens but recently discovered pointed pen calligraphy (G nib and vintage nibs). While I enjoy learning copperplate calligraphy, I realized that I actually want a fountain pen that is expressive with my normal handwriting.

So far I have a Mabie Todd Swan pen (made in England) with a #2 nib. There is flex, but it requires quite a bit of pressure and only comes through in my handwriting on the letter “f.” However, I do love that it is a fine point that can produce very fine lines because sometimes I have to write quite small when grading student papers. But it is not quite what I was looking for.

I am wondering if anyone out there has a Waterman 52 1/2 or similar needlepoint wet noodle that is expressive under minimal pressure - that is expressive with regular handwriting.

Ideally I’d like to pay $125-150. That might not be a reasonable price, but I am a high school English teacher and can’t afford more.

I should also add that I am the sponsor of a student interest club called Old School Cool that explores vintage objects such as fountain pens, paper, cameras, inks, calligraphy, etc. I plan to let students try out my fountain pens under my supervision with the hope that interest in beautiful writing instruments will continue into the next generation. Perhaps a kind pen restore might be moved to get to consider the context of how the pen will be used when considering the price.
