Crochet - Call for Testers Witch doll and/or broomstick looking for testing!

Post image
24 Upvotes

I made a witch and broom pattern!! It’s similar to my other doll pattern, but this one has color changes, a built in skirt, and a new hairstyle. This is super low pressure. Anyone is welcome to try it out, just send me pics and let me know if you find any issues. If I sent you my other doll pattern, it’s ok to do this one instead or in addition if you want! There will also be an add on accessory pack later including a cauldron, but you don’t have to make everything if you don’t want to. Feel free to pick and choose and customize! This one does have more of a deadline as I would like to get this first part out within a few weeks to give people time to make it before Halloween. Dm me if you want to see it! 💜

Crochet - Call for Testers Testers wanted - Crochet sword

Thumbnail

Hi guys! Testers wanted for my crochet sword pattern. This is an intermediate-advanced project so please no beginners as it can be a fiddly process at times. If you can send me a picture to showcase your skill level that is preferable but not necessary. I will choose around 3 from here though that number is not fixed and some from instagram (@hookedwithoutaneedle) just to get a mix so you don't need a public account to be chosen.

I will choose the testers Saturday the 5th the latest, then I will give you 7 days to get the materials as you will need more than yarn. The deadline for completing the test is 21st of September.

Materials needed
-bbq skewers
-7 count canvas mesh - amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D9JSW5CR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
-dk cotton yarn
-the rest is typical materials

I am looking for testers to help find any errors and mistakes in the pattern, and to see if my pattern creates a stable sword (though this sword is more for decoration than for playing with). As a tester you will communicate any issues or confusing parts and provide constructive and honest feedback to make this pattern as easy to follow as possible. Testers should also be able to commit to completing the sword before or on the deadline and you will need to provide at least 2 clear photos of the finished sword.

I will either share the pattern via pdf email or canva sharing (experienced testers let me know which is preferable).

Thank you so much for your support!

Knit - Call for Testers Pamela Sweater - Call for testers

Post image
22 Upvotes

Hi! I’m looking for test knitters for my new Pamela Sweater, with testers needed for sizes XS-5XL.

Pamela is a generous, worsted-weight sweater worked top-down, with a European shoulder construction and full sleeves. It takes its name from Pamela Anderson and was partly inspired by the ease of the wide, relaxed shapes she has been wearing in recent years. The sleeves have sloping decreases down the front, finishing with wide 2x2 rib cuffs, alongside a deep ribbed hem and double-folded neckband.

The pattern has been professionally tech edited and the test deadline is the 6th of November.

Sizing:

Finished bust/chest: 91.5–171.5 cm / 36–67.5”

Recommended positive ease: 15–20 cm / 6–8”

Gauge:

19 sts x 26 rows/rnds = 10 cm / 4” in Stockinette stitch on 5 mm / US 8 needles.

The sample is knitted in my Worsted Grey yarn (33% BFL / 33% Merino / 33% Zwartbles, 200 m per 100 g), but you do not need to use my yarn to take part. Any suitable worsted-weight yarn that achieves gauge is welcome.

If you would like to use the original yarn, successful testers will receive a 20% discount on the yarn needed for their sweater.

Estimated yarn requirements are 6-10 x 100 g skeins, depending on size, with full size yardage included in the application form.

Feedback and any pattern issues will be collected through a shared Google Doc as you knit.

If you’d like to take part, all the details and the application form are here:

https://forms.gle/WknKHWW97yywAqyy9

Thank you!

Knit - Call for Testers OPEN TEST CALL: The Celtic Braid Set (Headband & Scarf)

Thumbnail
gallery
13 Upvotes

Name of pattern: Celtic Braid Set (Headband & Scarf)

About the Construction:

  • 🧶 The Headband: Knitted almost entirely in a deeply textured Celtic braid cable pattern, finished with neat ribbed edges for an elastic and comfortable fit.
  • 🧣 The Scarf: Features a cozy, fully reversible brioche stitch for the main body. The ends then transition into a spectacular volumetric 3D Celtic braid pattern that is equally beautiful on both sides, making the ends look plush and unusual, finished with cozy pom-poms.

Needles/hooks required: For Scarf:

  • Size US 6 / 4 mm circular needles with a cable length of at least 16″ / 40 cm.
  • Size US 7 / 4.5 mm straight or circular needles

For Headband:

  • US 0 / 2.0 mm  straight needle (1 piece)
  • US 1 / 2.25 mm circular needles, 16” / 40 cm long. Note: If you don't have this size, you can use US 1.5 / 2.5 mm circular needles instead.
  • US 2.5 / 3.0 mm circular needles, 16” / 40 cm long
  • US 5 / 3.75 mm circular needles, 16” / 40 cm long

Other notions or tools required:·    Crochet hook: Used to help pick up stitches easily when starting the individual knitted bands. Tapestry needle: With a large eye for securing pom poms.

Stitch markers: To separate the individual bands.

Pom pom template: A cardboard template or a small box measuring approx. 2.7″ x 2.1″ x 0.6″ / 7 x 5.5 x 1.5 cm. Scissors.

Yarn requirements: For this design, I chose Lang Yarns Magnolia because it is incredibly soft, plush, and completely non-irritating to the skin, which is essential for close-fitting accessories like a headband and a scarf. At the same time, it provides wonderful winter warmth and highlights the volumetric texture of the Celtic braid beautifully.

Original Yarn: Lang Yarns Magnolia (85% Virgin Wool - Merino Extrafine Superwash, 15% Nylon; 273 yds / 250 m per 100 g skein). Yarn Weight: Medium / Worsted (4).

Total Amount Required:

  • approx. 54 g /1.9 oz (approx. 147 yds /135 m) - for Headband
  • approx. 120 g / 4.2 oz (approx. 328 yds / 300 m), including pom poms - for Scarf

You will need 2 skeins for the set. Samples shown in color: 0006.

If substituting, look for a Medium / Worsted weight yarn with similar yardage (approx. 273 yds / 250 m per 100 g). Merino wool blends or soft wool chains will work best to achieve the same texture and stretch.

Level of skill required: Intermediate, Pre-Intermediate.

Written, charted or abbreviated pattern:

  • Written row-by-row instructions in English.
  • Step-by-step video support for key transitions and techniques. (The videos are filmed with high-quality close-ups and are fully visual (without voice commentary), so you can easily follow along regardless of your language.)
  • Clear stitch chart
  • Construction Scheme & Video Guide (for Scarf )

Tester requirements: (final photo, weekly updates, etc)

  • What I kindly ask you: I would love for us to stay in friendly touch during the process. I would deeply appreciate your feedback on how clear and easy the text and videos are to follow (especially if you are closer to a Pre-Intermmediate or beginner level!). I kindly ask you to create a project page on Ravelry using the codes (I'll send you later) and share a few progress updates along with a clear photo of your finished work.

Testing deadline: Testing period - 3 weeks from the start date (flexible if you need extra time).

* 🔒 Testing Process: To keep us organized and moving together, the Headband test will be run in 2 stages/parts, and the Scarf test will be run in 3 stages/parts. You will receive the next part as soon as you share a quick progress photo of the previous one!

Number of testers needed: 3 for each item

If you need more information about the video support to see if it fits you, just let me know!

Special Tester Gift:
Since these items are designed separately but match perfectly, I have a special thank you for you:

  • If you test the Headband, you will get the final Scarf pattern for free as a gift!
  • If you test the Scarf, you will get the final Headband pattern for free as a gift!

If you would love to test these items, please leave a comment below or send me a DM! Please let me know:

  1. Which item you'd like to test (Headband or Scarf).
  2. Your knitting experience level.

Thank you so much for your support!

Crochet - Call for Testers Need more testers for my cow pattern

Post image
23 Upvotes

Hello, I am back with the cow pattern. Unfortunately, I did not get as many testers as I thought (long story short, I only have one tester), so I am back once again asking for more testers I am unsure if this is against the rules to come back with the same pattern; my apologies if it is. I am looking for 2-3 more testers with a time limit of one week, although if you need more time, just let me know. Ideally, I am looking for intermediate crocheters, and I am open to confident beginners, although this pattern has a lot of moving parts. All materials needed will be listed in the pattern. I used cheap materials like Red Heart Super Saver in colors black (or brown for a brown cow), white, grey, pink, and two clothing colors of your choice, along with 22mm safety eyes (although you may use eyes of your choice), and a button for the collar. The pattern uses a 4.25mm hook (you may use a 4mm if needed) and US terminology.

Crochet - Call for Testers Wave Lace Crochet Top TEST!!

Thumbnail

HIIII!! I started drafting this top in febuary in 2026, so this has been a long time coming. I would say that this top is more for the intermediate crocheters,s ince the pattern has a texture pattern, 19 st repeat and bust shaping. To make it as inclusive as possible I also tried to write the pattern in a way where any body size could pick any cup size - I have tested it 2 times with different dimensions. Hopefully it is understandable for you guys!

I used Hobbiis Friends Cotton 8/4 for both of my demos, around 5 skeins for each. (Size S/M). I welcome you to try any other fiber if you wish - but I have only tested with the Hobbii yarn. Any 100% Cotton Super Fine / Fingering / Sport weight should work aswell.

Sizes are: XS - 4XL

Cups are: AA - K + MTM

Crochet - Call for Testers Tester Call - Boney & Bright Stocking

Thumbnail
gallery
23 Upvotes

I’m looking for up to 10 advanced crocheters to test my Boney & Bright Stocking pattern! This spooky-meets-festive stocking is a fun project with some more advanced stitches and techniques that beginner crocheters may not be familiar with, so I’m specifically looking for testers who are confident reading and following crochet patterns and are comfortable working through a bit of a challenge.

The stocking is made using medium (4) weight yarn in black and white. I prefer acrylic yarn, but the choice of yarn brand and fibre is completely up to you! You’ll need 5.5 mm, 4 mm, and 3.5 mm crochet hooks, along with your usual crochet supplies such as scissors, a tapestry needle, stitch markers, etc.

A little warning before you apply: there are LOTS of ends to weave in! 😂 If weaving in ends is your least favourite part of crochet, you’ve officially been warned!

The pattern will be sent to selected testers on September 5th, and the completed test, including your feedback and photos, will be due by September 23rd. I’m looking for testers who can commit to completing the project within this timeframe. You’ll also need to submit a minimum of 2 clear photos of your finished stocking along with your feedback by the deadline.

By applying, you understand that testers are expected to follow the pattern as written, complete the project within the agreed testing period, communicate any issues or confusing areas they encounter, and provide honest and constructive feedback. I want to know what worked, what didn’t, and anything that could be improved or clarified before the pattern is released to make the pattern as easy to understand as possible!

Testers must have a public Instagram account. Testers will also be asked to make at least one Instagram post featuring the Boney & Bright Stocking either during testing, upon completion, or when the pattern is officially released. I’ll be sharing tester posts on my social media as well, so you’ll get a little extra exposure for your work! 🖤

Testers will be chosen on September 4th. Everyone who is selected will be notified by email. Those chosen will then be added to an Instagram group chat where we’ll communicate throughout the testing process.

As a thank-you for your time and help, all selected testers will receive a free copy of the completed pattern once testing is finished. Testers will also be credited inside the final pattern, including your name, Instagram username, and photos of your finished stocking with a little blurb about the work you did on this test.

If you’re an experienced crocheter who loves a a little challenge, spooky vibes, and would love to help me make sure this pattern is the best it can be, I’d love to have you apply!

General Question/Comment Test pattern question?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I am testing a sock pattern but no support from designer. I have had to correct a few errors. Honestly, not an original sock pattern but interesting heel construction. The instructions do not work at all with the pattern. I have emailed the designer and messaged her but no feedback. What now? Am I obligated to the tester agreement? Am I obligated to give pics and meet the deadline? I have tested patterns before and this is a first for me.

Airy is a made-to-measure crochet pattern, meaning that the garment is adapted to your own measurements and preferred fit. The pattern can therefore be made for both children and adults. You choose your own yarn and hook size based on the look, feel, and fabric you want to achieve.

The pattern will be available in both Swedish and English (US terminology) and includes written instructions, charts, photos, and illustrations to help you throughout the pattern.

Yarn Usage Examples

Yarn usage will vary depending on the size, yarn, hook size, gauge, and any adjustments made to the pattern.

My sample versions:

🧶 Women’s size S: DROPS Flora, 5 mm hook – approximately 272 g

🧶 Children’s size 92/98: DROPS Loves You 9, 4.5 mm hook – approximately 117 g

Timeline

📅 The pattern will be sent to testers: August 31

📅 Feedback must be submitted by: September 30

What is expected of testers

• Crochet the pattern and follow the instructions.

• Provide feedback on any errors, unclear sections, or areas that could be improved.

• Complete the feedback form that will be sent together with the pattern.

• Submit your feedback by September 30.

• Take photos of the finished garment.

When testing is complete, you will receive:

• The Naples Tank Top pattern

• A shoutout when the Airy Pullover pattern is released

How to apply

Applications to become a tester should be submitted through the latest post on Instagram: @sockan.crochet.

I made my second ever pattern! This is a customizable doll base with a dress and a curly wig. I’m hoping to make more dolls and compatible accessories in the future, but right now I’d just like a few people to try out the pattern, make sure it works, show me what they made, and let me know if there are any problems before I make it public. This is a free pattern without a strict deadline so testing is super low pressure! Just let me know if you’d like to try it 😊

Crochet - Call for Testers 🌶️ PATTERN TESTERS WANTED! 🌶️

Post image
17 Upvotes

I’m looking for approximately 10 testers for my Pepper Patch Bucket Hat! This pattern is made up of 5 granny squares, appliques, joining the squares using the JAYG (Join-As-You-Go) technique, and creating the finished brim. Never used JAYG before? No worries! The technique is fully explained in the pattern, so you don’t need any previous experience with it.

The pattern is over 15 pages long and uses medium/4 weight yarn in red, white, and green, although you’re more than welcome to choose your own colour combination! You’ll need a 5 mm hook, 4 mm hook, stitch markers, scissors, and a tapestry needle. The pattern is recommended for intermediate crocheters, but testers of all skill levels are welcome to apply. I’d love to have a variety of abilities testing this pattern so I can make sure the instructions are clear and accessible to everyone.

Testing will begin August 31st, with testers being chosen on or before August 30th. The testing deadline will be September 11th, so please make sure you have enough time available to complete your hat and provide your feedback before the deadline.

If selected, testers must have a public Instagram account where I can see examples of their previous crochet work. You’ll need to be comfortable participating in an Instagram group chat with me and the other testers, and be willing to provide thoughtful and honest feedback throughout the test. This includes pointing out anything that may need clarification, such as confusing instructions, stitch-count errors, missing steps, or anything else that could make the pattern easier to follow. Testers will also be required to submit at least 2 well-lit, in-focus photos of their finished hat, share at least one Instagram post featuring the hat/pattern and tag me, and submit all feedback and photos by the September 11th deadline.

I’m also looking for a few testers who would be willing to calculate the yardage used for the project, as well as some who are comfortable taking modeled photos of the hat or styling it with an outfit. If either of these sounds like something you’d enjoy doing, please mention it in your application!

And of course, you’re welcome to get creative with your colours! I’d love to see your own colour combinations and all the different ways the Pepper Patch can come to life.

Every selected tester will receive a free PDF copy of the pattern, along with credit as a tester in the finished pattern, including your photos and social media handle.

HOW TO APPLY:

If you’d love to be part of the Pepper Patch tester team, fill out the application here: https://forms.gle/5oyyepvo2bcK3oNY6

Applications will close August 30th or once all tester spots have been filled!
