Hello. I am here trying to get some help as I have failed my nclex for the second time. I have used kaplan, archer, and bootcamp. When I am doing the practice questions and test I am doing great and then I get to the NCLEX and I don’t know what happens. can anyone please help and recommend me anything for my next attempt.

I took my NCLEX in July and I failed with 150 questions using archer. I would do practice questions and do CAT exams and I would score with “pass” on my cat exam exams. With my readiness assessments, I scored high with archer. I also watched Mark k lectures and a lot of Dr. Sharon, but I still failed with 150. This time I’m doing shorter more focus question Banks and I’m using Bootcamp. So far using BootCamp I’m scoring borderline on 2 readiness assessments. I’m watching NCLEX crusade’s seven day NCLEX training. I’m reading all the rationals using Boot Camp, but I feel like I’m not improving. Overall, I’m scoring a 60 on Boot Camp and the average is 61. I’m thinking about rescheduling NCLEX because based on my scores I don’t think I’m ready but the other day available that I was thinking to move to only has an early morning time which I’m not sure since I don’t work that well in the morning compare to the evening. Please, if anybody has some advice please let me know. I’m not really sure what to do

Which NCLEX qbank worked best for you,?

Going on a trip and need a physical book NCLEX prep book incase I don’t have internet. What is the best one available? Need to study content but I like a lot of practice questions with rationales for the correct and incorrect answers

Thought I share my experience to help those who are retaking the NCLEX (or first time takers)

I did my first try in July and unfortunately failed. I was using UWORLD and listened to all the Mark K lectures. I studied for a month while also working. I did almost 100% of the Qbanks and I would consistently score around high 70s. I did 2 self-assessments which showed a very high passing rate. HOWEVER! one mistake I did was not taking care of my mental health. A week before the exam I studied like crazy. I was barely sleeping. The night before the exam I studied late and woke up early to study more. My anxiety was through the roof that I ended crying 2 hours before the exam. I barely ate and drank. I basically blacked out during the exam and finished with 97 questions in 1hr and 30 mins. I knew right away that I failed.

I quickly learned my mistake. I knew for my second try that I need to focus on my mental health and learn how to manage my anxiety. It was never because I lacked knowledge. I basically burnt myself out and let the anxiousness and low self esteem take over. So I took 2 weeks off studying. After that I would study (I just did UWORLD) but only spend 1 hr each day. I made sure I went out with friends, go on solo dates, exercise more and most importantly not use my phone to doomscroll. I practiced calming techniques and the day before the exam I did NOT study AT ALL. Instead I went out with friends and had fun. I had a good sleep and ate a good breakfast. During the exam I made sure to TAKE MY TIME. I mean really take time. I would take deep breaths when I realized I was feeling too anxious. I ended up finishing the exam with 150 questions with less than 2 hrs left from the timer. I still felt very defeated after and I was unsure if I actually did good. But I made sure those thoughts didn’t take over.

in the end I PASSED.

mental health matters!! don’t over study and REALLY TAKE YOUR TIME on each questions. Take breaks if needed. U GOT THIS.
