Mod Post **Guidelines for Spoilers When It Comes to Launch & Beyond**
✨️ Hello, fellow Oni Warriors! ✨️
As you likely already know, launch day is just over a week away, and with that will likely come some MAJOR spoilers shortly before, as well as after launch. As of now, we've already had to take a couple posts down from people who got the game early.
I say all this to let you all know that if you encounter ANY spoilers that weren't OFFICIALLY shared by Capcom's OFFICIAL social media accounts/pages before launch, please only share them in the **SPOILER MEGATHREAD**.
On September 4th, posts that involve narrative/gameplay spoilers are allowed, but they MUST be spoiler tagged for the first month or so, and must not contain spoilers in the title. Think: "Was that **SPOILER** in the **SPOILER** level?" That would be acceptable.
I hope this makes sense, and puts any potential concerns about spoilers to rest for all of you out there that are trying to go in blind!
The Genma are encroaching, fellow Oni! We must prepare!

Mod Post **SPOILER MEGATHREAD**
Hello, fellow Oni Warriors! ✨️👹✨️
With launch quickly approaching, there will (unfortunately) probably inevitably be leaks in the coming days, so we wanna try our best to keep those all contained to this thread!
Of course, when it comes to official trailers, gameplay, or basically anything coming OFFICIALLY from Capcom in general, it can be posted as a normal thread!
The Genma onslaught is almost upon us, fellow Onimusha! We must be prepared!!

Discussion My bro would have loved this
My brother passed away two months ago. He and I were huge gamers, and I just have the feeling in my heart that if my brother was still alive he and I would be up all night talking about this game. It releases in one hour for me, and I will be playing it thinking about how much my brother would have loved it.

Discussion My Onimusha dreams have been dashed tonight and I just want to vent.
Hi everyone, been a lurker here for months. I'm pretty devastated and just need to vent. Not asking for anything. I know everyone has their own bills and sad stories. I just need to get this off my chest because it realllly sucks.
I was waiting for this week for so long. I had everything planned and was literally counting down the days with my ps5. Money's been tight because I couldn't afford health insurance premiums anymore, and my meds have been coming out of my pocket every month, but I budgeted perfectly and was super proud of myself. I've been dealing with some pretty gnarly treatment lately that has me at the hospital five days a week for seven hours a day.
They put me on a new medication today unplanned and the cost to pick it up was seriously twice what I budgeted for. I'd totally sacrifice it if it didn't mean me dying and never playing haha
So no Onimusha for me. I know it's just a video game, but this was the one game this year I was actually looking forward to. It just sucks, I wanted to vent here because I know my family wouldn't understand and would just think "who cares its a video game".
If you were in my position would you watch some streams/gameplay or wait? It's hard because even just seeing gameplay or trailers
Enjoy it for me, guys. Kill a few Genma in my stead.
Edit: Thank you so everyone that was so kind to help me out and send me some funds I'm so grateful and appreciative. u/Damnhare was kind enough to send me a PlayStation card. I went ahead and sent back any money anyone sent me.
While this post really was just to vent and get it off my chest as I have limited outlets of people who understand gaming I'm.so grateful and appreciative to everyone. Thank you!

Discussion Never even heard of Onimusha in my life, and this demo is the best game I played all year.
Didn't have high hopes for it, but was completely hooked from start to finish.
I love the combat, LOOOVE the protagonist, and the visuals are AMAZING for the performance. Is Capcom the first company to remember how to optimize their games?
So glad that I didn't look into this until the day before release so the hype doesn't kill me lol. Apparently this is the first mainline installment since 2006??
Capcom has been on a generational run since RE7.

Discussion Played the demo and this might be the best samurai game ive ever played.
HOLY SHIT is it good. I have never played these games or had any idea what it is about besides the name, but damn this game rocks. Idk if it'll be as good all the way through, but the gameplay is sublime. Better than sekiro, better than tsushima and better than any other samurai game ive ever played.
The boss fights are also badass. There were only 2 in the demo and both of them kicked ass. The cutscenes look fantastic too and i like the protagonist. Rn ive got my backlog of games and im also out of money so i wont be getting this now but once im reimbursed and out of games this is definitely gonna be on my radar.
IGN gave it a 10/10 and usually i dont give a fuck about reviews and play whatever i find interesting, but from this demo i kinda understand now.

Discussion How is the combat for you?
I feel (as it was in the demo) that the enemies aren't aggressive enough, they standing and comes to me nicely one by one.

Discussion This game feels like a japanese version of „evil dead“
Am I the only one who sees the similarities? Cocky protagonist getting tangled up in demonic mischief with a gauntlet on his hand.

About 3 hours into game so far and I can definitely say Onimusha: WoTS has some of the best gameplay and sword play I've ever seen in any video game. It's definitely up there with Sekiro and Ghost of Tsushima & Yotei
