Hey everyone! I noticed something interesting with post and comment scores today and wanted to ask how the system works.

Whenever I reload a page, the vote counter goes up or down by a point or two—even on older posts where nobody seems to be active anymore. At first, I thought people were constantly clicking back and forth, but it happens instantly on every single refresh.

Is this an intentional feature with how the platform displays score counts behind the scenes, or just a display delay? Appreciate any quick insights on how this works!

My replies in other communities were deleted by a bot, with a notification stating that my karma was too low.

I only then realized that this account—registered eight years ago—had a pitiful karma score of just 3...

So, how much karma do I need to accumulate before I can post replies normally?

Well I thought I understood the karma thing.

Why would my karma go down if I only posted a few things and nothing I posted has been downvoted that i can see? I am very new, and it had gone up to 10, but then to 9 and 8. I am very curious 🤔

I need to ask a specific question anonymously, so I created a new account to ask it. But I can not post the question anywhere.

Mods have been telling me to use a ThrowRA account and I have been reading about it but I can not figure out how to create one. For a new account reddit asks me for either an rmail or a phone number and when guven, it automatically assigns me a username. I tried changin my name to throwRA but that is just a nickname

I just created a fresh account for personal use and it seems the filters are way stronger now than they were back then.
So is it advices to not interact at all the first few days and just browse? Thanks for any help 🙏🏻

I’m not exactly new to Reddit—I’ve been using it for about a year—but I’ve mostly just used Reddit to search up problems I had and find solutions.

Recently, I actually started trying to participate by commenting and posting in different subreddits, but my comments/posts would often get restricted for seemingly unknown reasons.

Hey, need some quick advice.

I've been commenting on a few subreddits over the last couple of days thinking I was participating, but I just opened my profile from an incognito window and NONE of my comments are visible to anyone. They are all getting secretly removed by automod 💀

I didn't even get a notification for most of them, so I thought people were just ignoring me.

How do I actually build enough karma to stop being invisible? Do I just have to wait, or are there places where new accounts can actually speak? Any help would be amazing!

I’m trying to understand something about Reddit’s filters.

A newer account I’m using has had a couple of posts removed shortly after posting. This happened in two different subreddits, and posts containing images seem to be affected too.

There was no spam or repeated posting involved, so I’m trying to figure out what might be triggering it. Is this usually related to account age, karma, automated spam detection, or something else?

my reddit app started to auto-translate everything some weeks ago.

Sometimes the blue button next to a Post or comment even disappear, so i dont have the chance to read the original.

The Translation does change the meaning of texts often.

Please help, how can i stop that?

I created my Reddit account on my desktop using "Continue with Apple" and selected the "Hide My Email" option.

Now, I'm trying to log in on mobile, but there is no "Sign in with Apple" button available. Since I originally signed up via Apple, I never set up a standard Reddit username/password.

When I try to request a password reset email from Reddit, nothing arrives because the Apple relay address is not forwarding messages to my real email inbox (I've checked spam and spam filters as well).

Since I am still currently logged in on my desktop browser, how can I resolve this and log in on mobile?

Whenever I try to change my profile I get a message like" unable to upload image" , and even tho the picture is under 500kb.

I even tried in chrome browser.

Hi I see people talking about "comment karma" which I saw is based on how many upvoves/downvotes you get on comments, but does anybody know if I can specifically check my comment karma? All I see is the total combined karma when I view my profile
