It finally got a date.
Namcon finally got at date and place and I could be any more hyped for this 1. This is a great place to meet up with other anime, manga and gaming enthusiasts. I hope this will be the first of many

So I was on tictock and saw a girl make a video about how namphones are scammers and you shouldn't buy form them, since they stiole her video proving another business is legitimate.(Also namphones seemed obvious cause where can you get an iPhone 15 for N$5k and it's 512 GB matter of fact)
So the question is what other pages and phone buying scams have you seen

Anyone noticed how rental scammers are on the rise?
They see people desperately need a place to stay.
Like when someone doesn't have pictures of a place when you reach out and tell you to just go view that already makes alarm bells go off in me because who wouldn't have a picture of the place they are renting out?? 🤔
What's going on in our country, I'm very disappointed in how bad things are.
Scammers. Rental crises. Petrol increase. Electricity increase. 😪😪
I know complaining doesn't help but guys.. I don't know what to do or how to feel. Life is tough in Namibia. This isn't the Namibia I knew growing up.

I'm a metallurgical engineering graduate in Namibia and have been struggling to find a job for over a year now.
I’ve applied for graduate programs, internships and entry-level positions, and I’ve also emailed several companies asking for internship opportunities, even unpaid ones, but unfortunately nothing has worked out so far.
I’m honestly feeling quite hopeless at this point. For those working in the Namibian metallurgy industry: what companies should I be looking out for, or who should I try contacting? Any advice, leads or recommendations would mean a lot.

Hi everyone! 👋
I’m currently waiting for my Namibia Holiday eVisa, and I’m starting to get a little worried about the processing time.
Before applying, I had read that the Holiday Visa should only be applied for within about one month before the trip. However, most of the recent posts and experiences I’ve found online seem to say that the visa itself can take almost a month to be approved. 😥
My trip to Namibia is already booked, including non-refundable flights, accommodation, and activities, and I’m supposed to travel there in mid-to-late September. At this point I’m getting worried that the visa may not arrive before my departure.
I’ve already tried emailing the eVisa/immigration contact address, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to have helped much so far.
Has anyone applied for the Namibia Holiday eVisa recently, or does anyone know what I should do in this situation? I’ve also considered applying in person, but unfortunately I don’t have any vacation time left to travel to a place where I could submit the application in person.
I’d really appreciate any advice on what I should do now — whether there is another official contact, a way to follow up on the application, or anything else that has worked for people in a similar situation.
I really, really don’t want to miss this trip. Namibia has been one of the places I’ve wanted to visit the most — the desert and night skies, the wildlife, the landscapes, and the culture all genuinely fascinate me. 🌌🦒
So if anyone has any recent experience or suggestions, I’d be extremely grateful. Thank you so much! 🙏

I am currently going down a Namibian rabbit hole and I have discovered the interesting character that is Lipumbu Ya Tashilongo. I cannot find anything about him apart from two photos and his English Wikipedia page. He is called both a hero and a brutal tyrant. Do you know anything about this man? Which one was he?
