NC A&T online MBA student

Hi! Is anyone here in the part-time online MBA program at NC A&T? I’m an incoming MBA student for 2027, concentrating in Supply Chain Management.

I’d love to hear about your experience, especially whether online students get much interaction with classmates and opportunities for networking. Thanks!

MS in Computer Science

Has anyone here received an I-20 from North Carolina A&T State University for the MS in Computer Science program?

I’m trying to understand the estimated cost and how graduate assistantship funding, such as a tuition waiver and stipend, is reflected on the I-20.

Recruiting admins/mods

Quick one: I run a small Discord called CTC (Compile The Culture) for Black and African American coders, from high school through undergrad. Looking for a couple of people to help actually run it as Co-Organizers or Mods- nothing crazy, just someone who wants to be involved in building a community instead of just watching it happen. DM me if you're interested.

A&T Grad Admissions Delays

What is the deal with A&T’s graduate program admissions? I feel like I have been pushing for months now, calling and emailing asking about my application timeline. No one can give me a straight answer - the program coordinator seems to never respond to emails even after the department head specifically follows up with them about my application. Are food delivery robots, flock cameras and AI data centers more important than potential incoming students? Is anyone else having a similar issue?

Lease Takeover - Greenway at Fisher

hello! i’m looking for someone to take over my lease here at fisher park. nothing bad has happened, i am just looking for something cheaper. i currently lease a 2 bed 2 bath and this is one of their larger floorplans. it’s convenient to downtown (5-10 minute) walk to Elm or library, lawndale shopping center and plenty of bars and food around. rent is between $1785-$1800/mo and the lease ends in Sep. 2027.
i believe other NCAT students live out here (as a former aggie) and it’s 5-8 mins from campus.

if you know anyone or are personally interested, just message! :)

Exposing the negligence behind Greensboro City Council's A&T data center deal

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Four years ago, Greensboro City Council awarded an incentive of over half a million dollars to an out-of-state company called ImpactData. The money was for a proposed nine-megawatt data center on the campus of NCAT, and the promise of 28 jobs.

The infrastructure was not vetted. The company had existed less than two years. Yet, due to the advocacy of some especially interested parties, Council voted 9–0 to allocate the public funds.

Four years later, there is still no sign of this “cutting-edge” “Dream Center.” A look into ImpactData’s business record and its CEO reveals this is hardly surprising.

Be honest, how likely am I to get into NCAT?

I'm an out of state student from PA and I'm entering my junior year in hs. My overall GPA is 3.1 and I'm president of an environmental sustainability club. I also have been doing marching band since my 8th grade year and just started my 4th year. I don't have that many volunteer hours. I heard that they prioritize in state students and you have to be exceptional to get accepted as an out of state student, but NCAT is my dream school. I also usually take a few honors classes per year. This school year I'm planning on working really hard to get my GPA up, so realistically do yall think it's likely for me to get in?

Moving out after Spring Semester

Hello,

My daughter is starting here in the fall, but what does everyone do with their stuff when they move out in the spring? I lived within walking distance of my campus when I was in college, so I never thought about this? Is there a temporary storage nearby the campus?

What are my odds?

I’m a rising senior and this is my first choice, but I’m from Jersey. Idk what my weighted GPA is but I get mostly pretty decent grades and I’ve only taken a single class accelerated, everything else is honors/ap. I currently have all 4s+ on my exams. I’ve bowled since freshman year and will be captain of the women’s team this year. This will also be my second tear as BSU VP(8% black population at my school lol). I will additionally be French Honors Society President. My last position is gen board member for my class council for the second year this year. I also do my schools step team, no position though. My last SAT was 1270 but I am pretty sure it’ll get to the 1300s when I take it in September. I will also take the ACT September. As for community service, I volunteer with my school’s adapted learning program(special education) every day during gym class. Writing this down it sounds good and all but I do have a c+ and a c- on my transcript (APUSH and WHAP respectively). I also am out of state. Both of my paternal grandparents went there though and a bunch of my cousins if that could count as legacy? I wanna apply bio pre-dental, and ik all of the pre-med programs are pretty hard to get into.. I feel like I do have a chance, but do you all think it’s a good chance?? Sorry for the long paragraph lolll😅

NC NEXT Scholarship

So I was given the N.C. next scholarship and it says that families that makes $80000 or less and attend a 4-year university/college are supposed to get $7500. Is this true? Cuz I ain’t get no where near that amount these two years.
