Either you can try modmail this sub to change topic of your sub or easiest way is create a new sub with correct topic and name

They won’t outright change it until you have enough content to show that’s what the sub is about. Create a lot of content for a few months, then mod mail and they will look at it.

What topic did you choose instead? Maybe it could work?

ahh well, the community is about pets, advices to pet owners etc. and the topic I picked was Education & Career and forgot to change it after 🥲

I wouldn’t stress over it too much as your sub covers so much of pet ownership that it could be educational for users and then people could suggest careers users could look into regarding pets.

So you’re not lying in any way with the wrong community type 😆😆

When you search for a particular type of sub you get recommendations that do not suit what you’re looking for anyway. It’s like a mystery button😆

Oh, you have some point there, I think I'm just gonna leave it for now and see what happens 😂😂

If the community is already created, you generally can’t change the original topic/category afterward. Check the community settings to see what options are available, and contact Reddit support if the incorrect topic is causing an issue.
