She's still half asleep and already wiggling. Doesn't even open her eyes first, just knows.

157

u/Tracy-Holmes 1d ago

I love as she wiggled her body

53

u/SlowWally 22h ago

The pre-emptive wiggle is the best part, she's basically vibrating with joy before she's even conscious

2

u/Tiny-Spend-8774 33m ago

What a cutie. Now I want a dog like that too.

23

u/AggravatingImpact906 1d ago

That little wiggle before the eyes even open is way too cute. She already knows exactly what’s happening before the day has even started.

30

u/ItsMisoandBoba 23h ago

Their power of smell is hundreds or thousands of times more powerful than ours. They understand the world through smells the most.

To compare, the difference in our ability to smell and a middle-of-the-pack dog's ability is the difference between bears and dogs. Bears' smell-factor is like 5,000,000 and ours is 361.

21

u/SharpRoll5848 21h ago

That comparison did not help at all lmao. Ive never been a bear.

6

u/Party_Tip2054 21h ago

Same here. Nor have I known one well enough to ask.

4

u/Enoch-Of-Nod 15h ago

Ok well by the above users metric of smell factor, if a bears is 5,000,000 then a pigs would be about 6,000,000.

I hope this helps.

2

u/Manicpixieautism 13h ago

Pigs smell 6 million. Bears smell 5 million. Dogs smell???? Humans smell three hundred. What is there to be confused about?

1

u/spermdonor 12h ago

But what about a twink?

886

u/BraveCommunication14 1d ago

Awww she can’t get close enough. That full body wiggle is just the best. She’s lovely.

288

u/Parking-Zone-5987 1d ago

My heart just grew.

43

u/Kooky-Donkey-3794 1d ago

same, instantly and completely.

14

u/SquirrelOfAstora 1d ago

Three sizes, perchance?

3

u/Dry_Awareness_383 21h ago

Haha, classic reference! Waking up to good vibes definitely puts anyone in a happier frame of mind.

41

u/pepperj26 1d ago

This could be a dangerous medical condition.

84

u/ParamedicFew3318 1d ago

Wigglebutt!

SHUT UPPPP!!!!!!! I HATE AI!!!!!!! RRAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

104

u/HereIGoAgain_1x10 1d ago

funny thing is that guy could've been gone for 5 minutes or 5 years

15

u/LittleFoxDog 1d ago

I used to have a completely deaf dog, and that was the best part. Whenever I came back from anywhere, she wouldn't be waiting at the door, she'd be fast asleep on the couch. So if I was quick enough (she'd eventually figure out I'd arrived if I took too long), I got to wake her up with cuddles, it was amazing 🥹😍

150

u/projekt_6 1d ago

That's. Not. POV. FFS...

39

u/prams628 1d ago

You think people using TikTok have brains? Not that people on reddit do.. just saying

13

u/stevein3d 1d ago

DAMN RIGHT wait what

3

u/dikicker 1d ago

I would be very offended by this if I could read! Curse upon thee!

12

u/Just_Dab 1d ago

It's pretty much tradition to use POV wrong at this point.

7

u/well_hung_over 1d ago

Literally. (Yes I said it because the word has been so misused that the dictionary had to redefine it and I’m sad that this world is where we are in capitulating to idiots)

-3

u/gokarrt 23h ago edited 21h ago

it's practically been redefined, language is always moving

edit: i'm sorry if this angers you, but it's true and always has been - it's why calling someone nice is no longer an insult

2

u/DrunkCupid 20h ago

That is practically nice... Depending on how one practices it

2

u/lcerch 19h ago

POV: people who dint know how to POV

-12

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

19

u/projekt_6 1d ago

But it's not "pov: you wake up to one of your favorite people" 🤦‍♂️

7

u/AxelV2 1d ago

The implication of using POV in this way is that you’re talking about the subject’s POV, which is first person. So, no, definitely not 3rd person.

21

u/Yohder 1d ago

Such a sweet pup but still not the right use of POV lol.

11

u/Old-Check2867 1d ago

🥰🥰🥰

9

u/tokiobest 1d ago

Well that’s cute.

7

u/SubstantialNature368 1d ago

Dogs are the best.

5

u/Dull-Appearance9278 1d ago

There’s just something about a dog being genuinely happy to see you that never gets old.

7

u/Wonderful-Trouble-31 1d ago

Awww her little shirt 🥹

10

u/Historical-Buy8953 1d ago

Ain't no way i'm sneaking up and waking my dogs to surprise them.

15

u/Guardianwolfart 1d ago

Interesting I have big dogs my whole life including a German Shepherd now. I fully trust waking her up like that.

8

u/inconspicuos_volcano 1d ago

I had a roommate who had a malamute mix and he would wake me up by putting his snoot on my nose 🥰

5

u/Historical-Buy8953 1d ago

I'm talking about me actually being able to sneak up on my dog..

3

u/Guardianwolfart 23h ago

I understand it just depends on your dog and how they have been trained. I do all kinds of goofy sht with my dogs since they are little. They are definitely used to me getting in their face when asleep or messing with them. Mine usually falls asleep on my arm and I sometimes "bite" her ear to wake her up 😆.

2

u/Historical-Buy8953 23h ago

Well that absolutely sounds like the right way to be. I usually degrade mine by saying they need to get a hobby of some sort.

4

u/CaughtALiteSneez 1d ago

If they are in the middle of a dream, it’s good to be smart. (Twitching etc.)

8

u/AusGeno 1d ago

Yeah I trust my dog not to bite my face in every single situation except this one.

2

u/SharpRoll5848 21h ago

I taught my kids never to try and surprise an animal unless you intend to kill and eat it, it's not fun for them only dangerous.

0

u/Thricey 21h ago

Yeah everyone here giving anecdotes about their dogs, there's a reason the phrase "let sleeping dogs lie" is a thing. It's statistically dangerous to wake a dog up with your face in their face. Even if your dog would never, they might not mean to hurt you. My daschund never hurt a thing in his life and I always woke him up with kisses. One day I did and he bit and scarred my face randomly.

5

u/real_p3king 1d ago

I'm so lucky, I get this daily from mine. Sometimes I can just look over at her and her tail starts wagging.

Gonna go pet her now...

3

u/Insert-finger 1d ago

Beautimus!

3

u/Boenitous 1d ago

My mini dachshunds do that for me everyday! It's truly humbling how someone can love you so much! Yes I consider my pups as people.

4

u/Hexent_Armana 1d ago

This is exactly what I needed after watching YouTube's Shoeonhead's most recent video. Faith in humanity isn't any higher but this sweet angel has at least healed my heart a little. 🥰

26

u/DeepMadness 1d ago

That's not POV.

4

u/Savings-Vehicle3224 1d ago

That statement goes both ways

3

u/Morbo_Reflects 1d ago

"I was just dreaming about you" :)

3

u/termacct 1d ago

Tail tells the tale!

3

u/AbsurdistWordist 1d ago

That dog was actively trying to burrow inside.

3

u/BassFisher53 1d ago

Not how you use POV

3

u/InsecurityTime 23h ago

I miss my dog

3

u/_Harbhie 16h ago

Actually watched over again, this is really very sweet to see

4

2

This little video made my day 🥰

3

u/rapgameoprahwinfrey 1d ago

All cozy in her jammies ❤️

2

u/bluesky747 1d ago

I used to do this with my dog. He lives with my ex now. I miss my pupper so much. Thanks for sharing this.

3

u/dave8814 1d ago

I adopted a puppy two weeks ago. On his fourth day home from the shelter he was sleeping next to me on the couch. He woke up looked around, saw me, wagged his tail, then readjusted himself, let out a huge sigh, and went right back to sleep.

2

u/FeralFaefolk 23h ago

She looks and acts just like the cuddly dog I had in my teen years. She even loved wearing sweaters too!

2

u/Emotional_News108 17h ago

My dog loves this move but she’s 70 pounds and very strong, so it’s kind of like getting hit by a small bulldozer. She means well.

2

u/faultlinedew 17h ago

Happiness at its finest!

2

u/drewm916 17h ago

That little sweater tells me that is one well-loved dog.

2

u/Antzqwe 1d ago

Good souls, both sides.

2

u/goodstuff1656 1d ago

Why the PJ ? I see it more and more. Is this really healthy for them?

2

u/daniiq 1d ago

Don’t know why you’re being downvoted, it’s a normal question.

I’m sure plenty of people do it just cause it’s cute, but pitbulls do tend to get cold pretty quickly due to them not having a undercoat. Their furcoat is quite thin, so it can really be for their comfort :)

1

u/Pastel-Rainbow-N3rd 1d ago

D’awwwww!!!

1

u/silverfield426 1d ago

Sooooo cuteeeee

1

u/WyoGrads 1d ago

I had a rescue min pin who would greet me at the door, docked tail stump wagging, and a no kidding smile on her face. Just me, not my wife. Sweetest dog. Mis her…

1

u/ItsStaaaaaaaaang 1d ago

D'aww. Such a sweetheart ☺️

1

u/midnightpanda77 1d ago

That escalated quickly 😂

That beautiful dog looks almost exactly like our beloved Zadie, who we lost to cancer almost 4 months ago. Zadie was also full of love, for everyone she met. Cherish all the time together.

1

u/LoquaciousOfMorn 15h ago

When you can't get a hug because your human is laying down so you just wedge yourself under them.

1

u/power0722 13h ago

I love how the tail wakes up first.

1

u/Sea-Smell-999 5h ago

aaarghhh I wanna have a dogggg😫

-2

u/gcartnick 1d ago

It’s a pitty thing. Treat them with love and this is what you get.

24

u/KaienPanzermast 1d ago

literally any dog breed will do this

-5

u/Necessary-Bed-5429 1d ago

"how did she ever do this, it was such a sweet dog, we raised her so well" - every pittbull owner at some point in time

0

u/Guilty_Lab_9508 23h ago

Did a pitbull take your girlfriend or something?

2

u/Necessary-Bed-5429 23h ago

From the last few years of dog attacks, from the hundreds of children that died, over 90% had a pit bull, and the others were pit mixes. Tell them "boo hoo did a pitbull take your children". Class act.

0

u/Guilty_Lab_9508 21h ago

“The Chevrolet Silverado and the Ford F-150 are the vehicles most commonly involved in car accidents in the United States.”

You better have that same energy when you see these trucks driving down the street.

-1

u/Necessary-Bed-5429 15h ago

Uh, yes? Aren't you more careful when a bigger vehicle is around you? They have a bigger chance to kill because of their weight, so yes they're going to be involved in deadly accidents more than tiny Japanese city cars.

1

u/Guilty_Lab_9508 15h ago

Those trucks are by far the biggest on the road lol

0

u/Necessary-Bed-5429 15h ago

I understand yeah, i agree with you so far

-1

u/Silly-Rough-5810 1d ago

Do you really believe that or are you just trying to steal joy?

2

u/Necessary-Bed-5429 1d ago

pitbulls are the one that steal joy at a murderous rate

-1

u/Guilty_Lab_9508 21h ago

What’s a murderous rate? 10%? 90%

1

u/Necessary-Bed-5429 15h ago

i don't know but almost every dog related death is pitbull or pit-mix

1

u/Guilty_Lab_9508 15h ago

“Pit bulls and related mixes are involved in roughly 65% to 66% of all fatal dog attacks in the United States, according to multi-year tracking data.”

2

u/Necessary-Bed-5429 15h ago

yeah, that's crazy high for one breed. That's not even adding the injuries and unidentified mixes (most likely pit again)

1

u/Guilty_Lab_9508 15h ago

Is it high? Yes. Is it nearly all? No. And yes it is add in mixed. As it says in the quote.

1

u/Necessary-Bed-5429 12h ago edited 12h ago

Sorry let's add Rottweilers for 99%

"Although Pitbulls and Rottweilers make up only 6% of dogs in the US, they’re responsible for most fatal attacks."

Conclusion: if it's a deadly dog attack i'd put my money on it being a pitbull. Small chance Rottweiler. But let's keep these cute creatures around.

1

u/Guilty_Lab_9508 11h ago

If I see a stupid comment on Reddit, there’s a 99% chance you posted it.

Did a pitbull mauling just make the news?

-1

u/DasMo19 1d ago

When they have eaten enough children, they seem to be pretty chill.

0

u/warriors17 1d ago

That song about wishing a woman would love you like a dog does makes a lot of sense sometimes.

-1

u/UnlikelyTurnip5260 19h ago

This is such a dumb comparison. They are violent dogs and tend to be reactive. End of story.

0

u/PagePhysical237 1d ago

I also love dogs better than human

-1

u/DrinkBuzzCola 1d ago

Is the dog a laberamer? I'm planning to adopt one from the local shelter.

4

u/Dozier13ish 1d ago

2

u/mantis_tobaggan-md 19h ago

Ah yes, the vicious pitbull I’ve heard so much about! So scary asking for those belly rubs!

He’s adorable by the way.

0

u/Dozier13ish 17h ago

Reddit sucks I think I’m done

3

u/Dozier13ish 1d ago

Pitbull. I know Reddit loves to hate on them and post statistics but they can be very loving and cuddly in the right home/upbringing.

0

u/mantis_tobaggan-md 1d ago

Reddit sucks in a few major areas, and pitbull misinformation is at the top of the list. Pitties can be the sweetest, most loyal, most loving best friend you could ever be lucky enough to meet. Case in point, this freaking adorable video.

3

u/Early_Storm_7708 1d ago

Some people are smart enough to not want to take the chance. When these things decide they want to attack, you’re either disfigured for life or dead. 😬

0

u/MissLogios 1d ago

Yeah and you can say the same for plenty other of highly territorial breeds (Akitas, Chow Chow, Sharppeis) or aggressive breeds (Small dogs).

Yet you don't see Reddit advocating for them to be put down on sight like they do for pitties, do ya?

1

u/Eastern-Editor4749 1d ago

Nobody is advocating for those dogs like people do with pitbulls. Nor are they as commonly owned. And small dogs are agressive? Sure. Yet not a threat.

0

u/mantis_tobaggan-md 19h ago

You should step off the internet once in a while. It’s a totally different world.

1

u/Eastern-Editor4749 13h ago

Pitbull nutters are real. See it all the time. You should experience the real world and actually interact with these dogs and their owners.

1

u/mantis_tobaggan-md 12h ago

Used to be a vet tech bud. I’m definitely more experienced than you.

1

u/anonidfk 17h ago

Difference is, those dogs do a lot less damage when they do attack, and also have many less attacks.

A chihuahua for example is aggressive, it can also be literally drop kicked away extremely easily lol. Even an Akita or Chow Chow can’t do as much damage as quickly as a pitbull, and they have wayyyy less attacks.

0

u/Dozier13ish 17h ago

Keep standing on your soapbox. You’re not getting anything done

0

u/anonidfk 17h ago

There have been 3 serious pitbull attacks in literally just last week alone.

There have already been 35 deaths caused by pitbulls this year. Some of which were children. Literally no other dogs attack and kill at that rate.

No one deserves to be mauled or die because you think a breed is cute.

1

u/Dozier13ish 17h ago

I hear this same argument every week on here y’all are just crying about statistics with no personal knowledge

0

u/anonidfk 17h ago

Ignoring actual documented deaths just because you personally have not experienced it and think you know better, is pretty damn ridiculous.

People like you are exactly why others keep getting killed and maimed.
