I have decided to download the Lineage OS and I want to buy a Samsung A73 5G phone. Do you recommend this phone to me? I mean, will it cause any problems with the system and will it be able to work for the next four years (I am not stingy, but I hate changing phones annually or frequently). I am still a beginner when it comes to custom ROMs. I have questions like: How will I download the system? Will the banking applications that I use work? Can I download programs from Google Play or even programs from Google or Meta? Will I still be able to use Uber and my government applications? The important thing is, can I return to the One UI or the main system? Many questions I hope to answer. Thank you.

I recall that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 was the last Qualcomm CPU to feature physical cores for 32-bit apps (I believe two A-710 cores); how is it, then, that my LineageOS supports 32-bit apps only on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and earlier models?

I own a poco f3 and really love it, but today I want to replace it with something new, what phone do you recommend which it's bootloader unlocks with ease to use lineage os? My budget is limited so please consider I can't buy high end phones. Used or scond handed phones are welcome either.

As the title says, I tried to flash LineageOS on my old Xiaomi Mi A3, but I'm stuck at the "fastboot flash boot boot.img" step, as the file doesn't exist apparently. I'm a total noob so any help would be much appreciated.

I have a good working P4XL and decided to install LOS23, I was able to install custom recovery and the ROM and everything works fine. Suddenly I encountered a slow performance for days so I get back to stock ROM, then fresh reinstall custom recovery and LOS23, this time everything is working fine, no more slow performance, but when I connected my phone to PC to transfer some files my PC cant recognize my phone.

These are what I checked:

1. In Settings>USB>Use USB For>"File Transfer" and other options are greyed out.

2. In Settings>Security and Privacy>More Security and Privacy>Trust>Restrict USB> is set to "Always Allow USB Connections"

3. In Settings>System>Developer Options>USB Debugging is set to "On"

4. In Settings>System>Developer Options>USB is set to "File Transfer"

5. Even in Recovery, Fastboot, Rescue mode, my PC cant detect my phone.

6. I tried cleaning my phone's port

7. I bought an original charging port and replaced phone's

8. I tried reinstalling drivers and platform-tools

9. I even tried reinstalling Windows

10. I have a working Pixel 4, my PC can detect it.

11. ADB Devices and Fastboot Devices cant detect my phone.

What could be the problem?

Is my phone stuck forever in LOS?

Did anyone experienced the same isseu? How did you fixed it?

I've replaced battery on my Oneplus 7T (hotdog) and the battery runs for 2 weeks idle which I am satisfied with however LOS is failing to recalibrate it. Battery voltage drops eventually but the widget shows 100% all the time even when battery is about to switch off. It stucks on 100% when I keep the phone with screen off (idle) and number goes normally down when I use apps.

So I'd like to clear system cache now as it might be a reason of this misbehavior (or you can drop me some other hint which I'll appreciate) but I can't find this option in LOS recovery. it should be out there but it's not. I've got just 4 categories in recovery (reboot, apply update, factory reset and advanced) and there is nothing about wiping cache.

So I will really appreciate if you point me in the correct direction or drop any other hints.

Hello there, i have been trying to install LineageOS with the help of the official website (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/rosemary/install/variant1/) on my five-years old Xiaomi Note 10S with my CachyOS HP OMEN 16 Gaming laptop. (with AMD Ryzen CPU and iGPU and NVIDIA RTX 5070 8GB)

The connecting and disconnecting issue has been happened while i was trying to update my phone's firmware (the proper firmware the site telling is V14.0.11.0.TKLMIXM, mine is V14.0.6.0.TKLMIXM), with the help of the site "https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/rosemary/fw_update/variant1/".

But when i go on fastboot mode and connect the pc, the connection keeps connecting and disconnecting periodically for like every 1.5 seconds. I did everything what the site is telling so far.

I tried usb-c to usb-c cable; 3 different usb-a to usb-c cables each on 3 different ports (i do not know which port is usb 3.0 or usb 2.0), and this thing keep happens on every combination.

I also tried to boot the laptop with CachyOS-LTS kernel and tried everything on it again but it keeps happening with this too. When i look at the logs with "dmesg -w" command, there are no errors but the connecting and disconnecting logs. I think my phone is faulty.

Should i try with different machine?

I am stuck here, please help me.

Hello mate! I want to ask about the vbmeta.img file. I first installed a custom ROM using EvoX A16, because there was a problem with the LCD panel—ghost touch—I switched to Lineage OS A16. However, since the first time I flashed a custom ROM, I've never touched a file called vbmeta. So, what's its use?

I'm still using Lineage OS because it's stable and has revived my old device. btw, my device is a Redmi Note 8 (Ginkgo).

I am still the proud owner and daily driver of an OnePlus 5T in New Zealand. For the time being, it is still on OxygenOS 10 (Android 10).

Recently, all NZ carriers shut down 3G. I found myself without the ability to make calls, despite the phone having 4G hardware.

I eventually found the solution in this thread: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/9m01z7np It is basically a method they found of flashing corrected carrier configs in an .MBN file, using two toolkits installed with APK packages.

I did this, and all is well.

But, now I am interested in switching to LineageOS. And I am worried about whether I'll be able to regain VOLTE functionality.

When I wipe the phone during the LineageOS install, I presume It'll wipe these configs too.

Also... In the forum above, in the stickied post, they mention:

"...this process works only up to OOS11/Android 11.
In Android 12, incompatibilities were introduced making it impossible to install the two required APK packages."

This worries me.

Are there any gurus here who can help me

A) to understand how I should carefully go about testing this with fall-back options available to me, to avoid a brick or being stuck in LineageOS without calling, and/or

B) to confirm that they have already done this on a device like mine?

So I really want to switch to lineage OS but also I have small hands so the modern phone landscape is hell for me.

I am really just asking to see if any one else has already looked through all the supported phones and found the smallest, don't bother doing it all for me because I will do it myself if no one has (then post here I guess)

EDIT: using the built-in updater to update my phone. This started happening 3-4 weeks ago.

EDIT #2: Sideload the magisk apk in recovery. You don't have to root after updating anymore.

Hi everyone, my phone is stuck in pin/password screen. I want to extract the photos stored, I'm not trying to solve the bug, I just want to extract my photos and do a factory reset. Since the phone doesn't let me get past the unlock screen, my computer doesn't detect it (so I can't extract the photos the regular way). I already opened a bug report, but it doesn't seem to get solved soon... It's a MI10T (codename apollo) with it's latest build (23.2-20260829). Can somebody help me? Thank you so much...

EDIT: when trying to go to an older build it said that data was corrupted and i missclicked factory reset... ty so much for the help, at least i can utilize my mobile again after 2 months (╥﹏╥)

Hi everyone, hope some of you could help me with my problem.

The thing is I don't even have an idea how do I compile Bazel kernels and which logic is the most suitable one for me to feel at least a little bit comfy when trying to figure out kernel build problems, why do I need common kernel tree, why do I need msm kernel tree (btw I'm using OnePlus and their kernel manifest) and the thing isn't just my misunderstanding, it's about searching for at least a little source that tells how and where to begin, I did already like 3 times but all those were unsuccessful, by the way somewhy when I boot the compiled image I boot up in android thrice longer and get no wifi problems.

If anyone here an experienced GKI kernel building master that can gimme over their knowledge just a little bit, please, show me yourself! I would be screaming from happiness and appreciation.

Have any of you ever installed Lineage OS on a Nothing Phone 2? How are you getting on? Do the Gliph features still work? Have you found a way to get the same design on Lineage?

I'm thinking about taking this step since I no longer have software updates and only have a year of security patches left, but I'm a bit hesitant because I don't want to lose the smartphone's unique features.
