Art/Creators Megathread Weekly Art/Creators Promo Megathread

Welcome to this Week's Art/Creators Promo Megathread!

Here you can share examples of work and links to creator's profiles (including your own!) as long as it is not on a Meta owned platform (Instagram, Facebook etc.) or Twitter.

Let's help our community artists, authors, designers, craft makers, musicians, singers, sculptors, performers, streamers and any other kind of creator get recognised and celebrate the amazing creativity in our community!

A few quick rules:

  • No AI/NFT Content.
  • Accounts shared must be creating own content, not solely reposting others.
  • NSFW Suggestive art (e.g. shirtless/pin up) is allowed but must be tagged. NSFW Explicit art (e.g. pornography, genitals visible) or NSFW suggestive of real people is not allowed. No links to exclusively 18+ platforms e.g. OnlyFans.
  • Creator must be actively posting on a platform other than Meta or Twitter.
  • Comments from users with less than 50 karma on this subreddit will be auto-removed to avoid spammers. (I will look to approve genuine ones when possible but no promises!)
  • Please respect if a creator says no reposts of their work - just share a link.

The art/work they create does not have to be LGBTQ+ related, we're here to help any creator who is LGBTQ+ promote their profiles, particularly if they're trying to establish themselves on a different one with the recent social media drama!

Looking forward to discovering some new creators with you all!

Educational Bi DOES NOT exclude trans/other genders

🏳️‍🌈 Happy bi pride month! Biphobia is alive and well. Someone today criticized me for being bi and claimed that I should be pan as it doesn’t cater to the binary…. Trans men are men, trans women are women, and to say bisexuality definitionally excludes them is to deny those facts. You can be bi and be attracted to trans people. You can be nonbinary and be bi.

What should I do? Should I try to change their mind or just give up?

One thing for sure is that I definitely don't wanna come out to the rest of my family anymore...

Need Advice Is it ok to have this on my bag even if I'm not pan?

Post image

Hey! This is a charm on my bag I made a while back (I identified as pan at the time) and I really like the way it looks (my desk light is NOT doing it justice). A year down the line and I now identify as a lesbian. Is it ok to still have this on my bag or is it offensive? I'd never want to offend anyone so I thought to double check.

Thanks!

I added the chains & the bat wings! I painted the bat wings myself with only the cuntiest of nail polish! ✨💅 My subculture is Glitterpunk & these are Glitterpunk style boots. I wanted to clarify that because there are influences from other subcultures, such as scene, that this could be mistaken for.

Need Advice Is this an actual pride flag?

Post image

I have a memory of seeing this kind of flag somewhere (maybe 2024ish) and I kind of assumed that this was the pride flag. After coming out and learning more about the lgbt community, I found out that the progress flag was the ACTUAL pride flag. But I still have this flag ingrained into my memory. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Please note that this is actual memory and not just misremembering. Any explanation would be greatly appreciated :)

"problematic" terms

I'm reading my psych textbook (such an adventurous life I'm leading, it's very late😅) and I came across a thing about problematic terms used in psychology.

Such as, according to this text, "heterosexual," "homosexual," and "straight,"

As a queer person, I don't see these as problematic. In fact, heterosexual and homosexual are the most scientific, imo. (Hetero meaning two different, such as a heterogeneous mixture, where you can see two different parts. And homo meaning two of the same, like a homogeneous mixture).

So I bring the question to you, LGBT subreddit. Do other queer people of today believe these terms are problematic?

Is it just me that thinks this textbook is being silly?

Need Advice (VENT) What should I do????????

Okay, context. I'm a trans mac non-binary person(and likely Asexual now?) and I'm a Hellenistic pagan. Ive already told my boyfriend.

so my boyfriend and I had our first date last night. And we were sitting outdoors and eating ice cream, he then asks if I feel straighter and if I feel cis and if I feel Christian. he keeps calling me his wife. I agreed since I didn't really know what to do but I'm not straight, I'm pansexual, and I'm not a girl, never have been and I won't become one after a date.

For the past few days he's been making jokes(idk if they are) that he's gonna convert me to Christianity and that he's making me straight and cis and that I'm making him straight???(He's bisexual and probably poly, he has a boyfriend) And I don't know why but even being close and smelling him makes me so ill and I just wanna vomit when I smell him. I really don't know why, it just feels weird and gross. He's tried to convince me to go to his family's church. I'm really confused about what to do. I love him, and I swore on the River of Styx that I wouldn't leave him. Also

He's been talking a lot about Christianity and why it's good, I have talked to him about paganism(he doesn't believe I'm a hellenist) and he's been saying and asking if I want to go to church with him Sunday. Luckily my mum is saying I don't need to go and that I don't need to hang out with him for our school's 4 day weekend. Today, in art I was working on an assignment where we had to draw 50 different things on a page, so I dedicated mine to the Greek Gods and Goddesses. I was drawing mini statues of Apollon/Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, Zeus, Helios, Nyx, Iris, Hekate, Athena and s few more. While I was looking for photos of Apollon, I found many that were broken(and for those who know, any ancient statues were broken by early Christians, the noses broken because they believed the statue and the God/Goddess it was for would die. They also would carve Christian crosses into their heads. I showed my bf one of Apollon and he actually said "If I was there, I'd do it too." Then quickly said that he was joking.... He already knows I can't understand if something is a joke or not. Then I showed him the one of Aphrodite with a cross on her head and her nose broken off. He said a similar thing to what he said earlier. This actually pissed me off because these are MY Gods/Goddesses. I have never made fun of his god, but he thinks it's okay to do it to mine??????? I really don't know what to do.. (UPDATE) I TOLD HIM WHAT HAS BEEN BOTHERING ME AND IM JUST GONNA IGNORE HIS TEXTS SO HE CAN JUST THINK OF WHAT HES DONE AND IM MOSTLY LIKELY ASEXUAL, IDK WHY BUT JUST BEING CLOSE ENOUGH TO SMELL JUST MAKES ME WANNA VOMIT. HIS SMELL ALSO SCARED MY KITTIES SO I HAD TO COVER MY ROOM IN PERFUME JUST TO CALM MY OLDEST. I CANT REALLY AVOID HIM, I SHARE ALL BUT 2 CLASSES WITH HIM AND HES ALSO BEEN CHANGING WHERE HE WALKS SO HE CAN WALK PAST ME TO CHAT WITH ME. I LITERALLY DIDNT FEEL SICK UNTIL I GOT TO MY FIRST PERIOD AND IT LUCKILY WENT AWAY BY MY LAST PERIOD THEN IT CAME BACK BY THE TIME I GOT OUT OF SCHOOL AND WE HEADED TO OUR BUS STOP
