Im curious if anyone with ATVs plans to go riding in the Red Deer Falls area of tumbler ridge on Saturday or Sunday?

I've been working on an old '99 polaris ranger and might take it for a ride out there this weekend. Normally I take my Honda out there, but its having rear end problems right now.

Last long weekend of summer.

It would be so nice to find couples that are down to have board game nights with, play, drinking games, play, pool, etc.! How does one make friends with these types of people as an adult lol!

Okay so, I intend to Academically Upgrade. But what’s stopping me is a quick question I have. So, in order to get into the degree I’d like to get into, I have to have Biology 30, Chemistry 30, English 30-1, and Mathematics 30-1 OR -2. However, I took the easy route to graduating and now I’m regretting it. But I’m just wondering, would I have to take Chemistry 20, Biology 20 and Math 10C and Math 20-1 BEFORE I take the more “advanced stuff”

Hello! I'm considering moving to grande prairie for college to attend NWP next fall semester and I had a few questions,

Im a grade 12 student so should I apply this October or next?

Is housing on campus nice for the price of it?

If I was going to apply this October would that secure me a spot for next fall semester?

How hard is the social work program? And how many seats are there?

Any advice is helpful!! I'm starting my last year of highschool next Tuesday and I really need to be reassured that applying this October really sets in stone I'm attending NWP, thank you!!

I am keeping this purposely vague because I don't want anyone to get in trouble for sounding major alarm bells on this situation. This information isn’t hearsay.

This "school" is disorganized chaos and not ready to be instructing anyone's children. They don't have equipment, they don't have appropriate technology, and they don't even have classrooms ready. Last i heard they were planning to educate everyone in the gym because all the classrooms have asbestos.
They are behind on payments to multiple contractors and they are desperately trying to save face before school starts this week.

If you have a child registered to go here, do them a favor and pull out right now. The idea of this school is great in theory but in practice it is not set up yet at all. Of course new things need to work out kinks but the issues at play here are far more than kinks.

Has anyone else heard anything shady about this situation??

I found out 2 days ago, from my child's other parent, that my child has cancer. The child has a 7.5 cm lump on their neck. It was tested this week they have lymphoma. They've been aware since the 25th of August. Things have been a whirlwind and for them and now we are trying to gather donations for gas and travel for my ex-wife and child to get to the stollery for treatments. We are exploring all other grants and charitys too. I'm just trying to get any help for them I can. Please share and contribute where possible.

Think of it almost like building a history book for rental properties across Canada — written by the people who actually lived there.

If you’ve rented a house, apartment, condo, basement, or room before, consider adding that property and sharing what your experience was like.

It doesn’t have to be a bad experience.

Share the good experiences too. If you had a great place to live, things were maintained properly, problems were handled well, or you would happily rent there again, that information can be just as valuable to the next renter.

And if your experience wasn’t so good, you can share that too.

The focus is on what you experienced while renting the property, not identifying or attacking individual people.

The idea is simple: years from now, a property could have a history of experiences left by previous renters rather than every new tenant starting with zero information.

Search for the property. If it isn’t there yet, add it and leave your rant/review/experience.

Looking at a place to rent?
Search the address and see whether previous renters have shared anything about living there.

The site is still new, so many addresses won’t have anything yet. That’s why I’m asking Canadian renters to help start building this history now.

So as the title states, have my car up for sale, guy walks by and says oh I've seen it online and I've been interested. Exchange numbers and he comes back a day later after begging me to let him road test it to Hythe and back to drop off a laptop and he can't find his license. I of course said no we'll go together around the area and if you can't find your license I'll drive. He comes by seeming pretty different than before, kind of crackhead energy, says he wants it but he's working for his uncle who will buy it for him and deduct it off his paycheck.

We go meet his uncle who seems a little more normal, he looks it over, negotiates and we make a deal. He comes back with a cheque and I tell him I'm holding the car until the cheque clears despite their begging to let them have the car now. I drive him back to my house, write down an agreement and when he tells me his address I just know it's the local crack shack, I punch it into my phone and sure enough it is. And he leaves.

I realize after the fact the spare key I had nearby is missing so I park the car in the garage and set the alarm. So now I assume he has my key, but I also have his name, address and this cheque. I take it to the bank, seems fishy, yep stolen cheque. I phone the number on the cheque and discuss with the guy who answered and they had stolen his truck and his cheque book and have been writing fraudulent cheques all over.

I reported it to the police, I'm having the factory immobilizer reprogrammed. Anything else I can do beyond this to actually see something happen of it? Thought about posting it in the local pages, connecting some dots I realize he was the one spotted trying car doors that someone posted on the neighborhood page a few weeks ago. I know people are actively trying to get them out of the neighborhood over the continuous theft but nothing has been done.
