Found a used 25’ with the euro package, owner had it fully PPF’d and also added a Maxton Front Splitter. It was on the lot for a two weeks and I finally went in to see it for my self. It’s been a while since I’ve had a VW. Excited to be back in the scene!

got the 2024 about a month ago. so glad i got the upgrade from the 2017 gti, dont think i'll be satisfied with another car after this lol.

Yesterday afternoon I was caught in a severe thunderstorm in Toronto in my 2026 R and of course in bumper to bumper traffic. It was a pretty unnerving experience and my car suffered extensive denting. Im shocked that the sunroof and windshield survived intact. I’m really hoping that I can avoid any paint work and that PDR will be enough to repair all of the dents. I filed an insurance claim last night and don’t expect to hear back anytime soon since the GTA was hit very hard by hail and damaging winds. Has anyone dealt with hail damage before? Did you require any paint repairs or worse?

I’m in the process of ordering a set of custom forged wheels direct from China for my winter setup and want to make absolutely sure before I green light production that they will clear the front calipers. The wheels are 18x8 et42 and the design is based on the Advan GT. It appears that the curve of the spoke and offset should provide ample clearance. Perhaps someone who is well versed in such things could chime in. Thanks!

I found this 2017 golf R with 39,xxx miles on it, the dealer claims its stock with only aftermarket wheels. They have it listed for $29k and some change plus fees. I figured that since there’s no Cobb access port or carbon quarter panels it was probably not a track rat and that it sounds like it might be a pretty good deal

The dealer is 3 hours away so the more I know what to look for the better

Looking at a 2023 priced at (Cad) $37k vs a 2026 priced at $57k. 2023 has 90k kilometres. Is it worth the extra 20 grand for the ‘26?

22 Golf R DSG w/15k miles. Running 034 stage 1 ECU/Stage 2 TCU. I’m looking to basically get the 40k/4yr service done: spark plugs, brake fluid flush, rear differential oil replaced. Engine oil already done. Anything else I need to do? DSG fluid changed? All service to date has been at dealer because it was free and experience has been fine so far but now out of warranty. Should I stick with the dealer or go to a euro shop? Your insight is appreciated.

I believe for 2026 we all knew what to expect by June 2025. Curious as to when people think we should know for 2027? I'm delaying buying a 2024 low mile manual thinking about a 2027 if something special....and yes a DSG.

2017 Golf Mk7.5 Hatch.

I want to downsize to 18s and get a set of wider rims. The widest that fit without any issues.

I have stock suspension for now and no rear camber arms.

I was considering 18 x 9+42 with 235/40R18 tyre though at least one person said that 9s would rub.

With that being the case, I had considered going back to 18 x 8.5 +35 with 235/40R18 tyre.
