Got another recall notice yesterday via the Ford app.
Campaign # 26553
NHTSA # 26V470
"On your vehicle, the driver's seat backrest may recline farther than intended when a saved seat memory position is activated. This may occur when the vehicle recognizes your key fob or a request made through the Ford app, or when someone presses a memory-seat button inside the vehicle.
If the driver's seat backrest reclines farther than intended, it may press against a person or object in the second row before stopping. This could trap or injure a second-row occupant.
A remedy is available. Software is available to repair your vehicle. Ford motor company has authorized your dealer to update the driver seat module free of charge. Following this update, the seat backrest recline position feature will no longer adjust when a saved memory-seat position is activated. Other memory functions, including the steering wheel and outside mirror positions if equipped, and other memory-seat adjustments will continue to operate as described in your owner's manual. You can still manually adjust the seat backrest recline position using the seat adjustment switch."
...so the remedy is just to eliminate the function, huh? Mmkay then.
(Yes, I do understand it can still be adjusted manually)
And then I'm still waiting on the formal notice about the 2nd row seat latch. I got the preliminary notice, but there's no fix for that yet.
I've only had this thing 4 months, and already 2 recalls.
