Marketing Building an AI wire harness design tool for EV/ICE cars (auto-pinouts, ERC & BOMs) — looking for FSAE beta teams!
Hey FSAE engineers,
Having spent way too much time managing race car wiring, ECU/PDM pinouts, and gauge sizing in Excel, I'm building CableHarness — a visual workbench to speed up harness CAD and documentation.
What it does:
• Visual Canvas: Drag-and-drop connectors (Deutsch DT, Autosport, Molex) with auto-generated pinout tables.
• Automated ERC: Real-time checks for wire gauge limits, voltage drop, and short circuit / safety loop risks.
• Instant BOMs: Auto-generates cut lists, terminal crimp specs, and wire schedules for fabrication.
We're opening up early beta access and would love to get a few FSAE teams onboard to test it and help shape features for team workflows.

Quick question:
How does your team currently manage harness design & pinouts (Excel, RapidHarness, SolidWorks, Altium), and what’s your biggest bottleneck during harness build season?
