I have always used Newtone, but vocal fry can sound glitchy when I pitch correct it in Newtone. But I haven’t used Melodyne yet. What are your experiences?

I just purchased the Oberheim Teo-5 synth, sounds amazing !

I am currently wondering how I can also use it as a MIDI controller to control any plugins I have in my FL Studio project. Whenever I connect it to my MacBook it loops ?!?! It freezes, unfreezes, freezes etc

I had a M-Audio Keystation 49 that works perfectly fine with USB and controlls my plugins...

Any ideas ?

I also have the Take5 and never had this issue ? Very weird

I just want to share my deep love for the Newschool plugin which lives inside of NIs Reaktor.

To me this is an extremely powerfull and underrated plugin and I have never seen anyone talk about this!

As the "generator" it uses the "Conway's Game of Life", which is so cool since it makes it so easy to create and modify a evolving sequence. Depending on what background a tile falls, decides what kind of tone is triggered. What these tones are can be controlled in the lower section. On the left is the sound source and on the right the effect section. So many parameters can be controlled, modulated and or muted. There are some videos and blogs with more detailed information.

In this short demonstration I'm just playing with the macros on the bottom but the possibilities are endless. And it is sooooooo easy to get started. Just play with it, randomize stuff and you will very quickly get something interesting.

Its greatest potential is mostly in perc-loops, foley and sound design but with the right midi setup, one could easily hold a complete minimal-techno set only using this plugin.

And it is FREE!!!! (as far as I know)

I hope some of you can use this in future projects and maybe someone shares my love for this.

made this pretty fast and i actuallky like it. I havent messed with anything in my mixer except for the vocals so the mix might sound a little muddy. Lmk what u guys think and what i could add. theres more i want to do with this track

I’m posting this to say what my fix was because I couldn’t find anything online that helped until I just tried everything lol. I had this weird like “sweeping” white noise sound from side to side playing no matter what I had muted or disabled or whatever. Nothing but the master channel was making the noise, and the only thing that stopped it was muting the master channel. My fix was I had a random instrument in my channel rack I didn’t use and forgot was in the channel rack and it wasn’t routed to any mixer track just “- - -“ even muting that didn’t work, I had to physically turn that specific synths audio level down to find out it was that instrument. Needless to say I just deleted the instrument from the channel rack and the noise is gone completely. Hope this helps someone if needed

Compared to grand piano and keyzone piano etc

i need an extremely specific MP3 loop for a project, and I'm having a problem with the trimming.

The loop itself is cut exactly where I want it. However, whenever I export it as an MP3, the MP3 encoding seems to add its own delay/padding, so when I open the exported file again, the trim is no longer where I originally placed it.

Basically, I fix the trim perfectly before exporting, but the MP3 export seems to move/add the trim back to its original position.

I specifically need the final file to be MP3 format/ a seamless loop/and no trim

Is there any way to export an MP3 while preserving the exact loop boundaries, or is this an unavoidable limitation of MP3 encoding?

Is there a hotkey or a simple way to set every audio file in a project to clip? It gets pretty tedious manually enabling this on every audio file in a project.

I am new to using FL Studio and I've been playing around for the last two weeks or so. I am interested in making shoegaze/noise pop/loud music in general but I don't really know how to do It without making the track explode and sound terrible.

I don't own a guitar, so I'm just using plugins for now. I do plan to buy a guitar soon but I still want to create and learn how to use FL Studio.

hello, i have never purchased a plugin/vst befoe. im thinking of buying serum 2. i wanted to know, what actually happens when you purchase it? do you receive the file? if thats the case, can i keep it and use it on another computer once i stop using the one i have right now? thanks

I'm trying to get into finger drumming, and I'm looking for recommendations on midi controllers that work well with fl studio and/or superior drummer 3. I'd like to keep spending around or bellow 200 dollars, the most I could do is 250. Thank you!

Hello I am new to FL studio and am looking to find free or affordable metal guitar plugins. I wish to learn guitar but I dont have the dexterity and have weak joints and skin ):

I want something orchestral but also not painfully artificial sounding, like strings, pianos, trumpets that stuff. also something I can edit and tamper with. I've tried the base plugins like FLEX but they don't sound as "professional" as I want it to be.

I have no money on me to buy stuff like the full version of Kontakt, or any plugin for that matter.

Scenario: you're out and about, or in the kitchen, and a multi-part loop comes to you in your head. Do you use an app or anything else to record the idea so you can come back to it later?

This happens to me so often; the best ideas just start rattling around in my head, but by the time I've got home, I've forgotten it. Or, even if I am at home, if I get upstairs, load FL, get the MIDI controller set up, I might noodle until I've got one part of it, but then the remainder is gone.

Is there anything you use to jog your memory? I do have FLStudio mobile on the phone, but that can be just as slow to get up and running, I ideally want something I can record voice / mouth drums to.

I did not sidechain anything, i only put a clipper, a limiter (but not using it as a limiter), and youlean loudness meter on the master
