Data Point $600 of PAZE Dunkin' in one sitting

Just wanted to give you guys a data point since I've seen multiple discussions about it in posts. I downloaded the Dunkin' app today and was able to run 10 $10 gift card transactions through all 6 of my cards. Didn't have to contact support. Only ran into the "press and hold to prove you are human" later in the transactions (at one point they had me do it 4 times back to back).

Discussion / Conversation Cybercriminals Claiming to Have Nearly Half of Americans' Drivers' Licenses in IDScan.net Breach

Article: https://krebsonsecurity.com/2026/09/fbi-probes-service-selling-153m-drivers-licenses/

TLDR: Identity verification service IDScan.net, which serves multiple Fortune 500 companies, the Coast Guard, car rental companies, lenders, and more, has been breached, resulting in the pictures Driver's Licenses of ~153M Americans' being for sale.

The article author verified the authenticity of the claims by searching for his own and friends' records, which he found. (He also found Secretary of Defense/War Pete Hegseth's, as well as that of the "assistant director of the FBI" [unclear if referring to one of the Deputy Directors of the FBI or the Assistant Director of the FBI's cybercrime division].)

If you have gotten a job at or taken out a loan from one of the affected institutions, rented a car, used a DL to board a plane, or legally bought weed, you may be at risk.

The site has since gone down, so you can't directly check whether you are affected, but considering how broad the breach is, better to assume the worst.

This, paired with the big SSN leaks over the past few years, such as the AT&T breach, mean identity theft and fraud are bound to spike.

If you haven't already, and aren't planning on opening new accounts, freeze your credit. You may also want to consider freezing your ChexSystems report if you don't want any bank accounts being opened in your name. If existing MFA options for account security aren't enough for your peace of mind, you may want to head to a bank branch and disable online banking entirely.

Thorough indictment of even in-person ID verification tools. Privacy and anonymity be damned.

Discussion / Conversation Amex MR points can now be used for Hyatt bookings

Just got an email from Air Canada Aeroplan announcing their partnership with World of Hyatt. From the looks of it, Aeroplan points can now be redeemed for Free Night Awards at Hyatt. This theoretically means that Amex MR points can be transferred to Aeroplan at a 1:1 rate and redeemed for free nights at Hyatt, something that has never been possible before and could add significant value to the MR ecosystem. Additionally, Hyatt points can be transferred to Aeroplan at a 2:1 rate, and Aeroplan points can be transferred to Hyatt at a 2:1 rate, which is an interesting dynamic between these two partners, where your points are worth half as much with each company. Anything I’m missing? Thoughts?

Data Point Just did $280 of dunkin transactions for paze all in one sitting

Bought 2x $10 gift cards thru Dunkin yesterday evening, then got cut off by Dunkin app.

I emailed Dunkin support this morning (after calling support and receiving an automated message saying they are not currently taking calls) to lift the transaction restriction. Tried purchasing again this afternoon and was able to buy 28x more $10 gift cards (I have 3 eligible credit/debit cards).

Sometimes the dunkin app did stop me and make me hold a button to verify I am human.

We will see if Paze gives the credits for these. I hope so, it doesn't seem like Paze has a daily limit, just Dunkin not allowing you to do a lot of transactions at once unless you talk to support.

Discussion / Conversation Robinhood Gold Card: "Turn on auto-redemption" drops you from 3% to 2.1% (0.7¢ per point)

During setup you get a screen titled "Next time, do it automatically" with a button that says "Turn on auto-redemption." Say no. If you already tapped it, keep reading.

The card doesn't pay 3% cash back. It pays 3 points per dollar, and a point is worth 1 cent only if you redeem to cash in your Robinhood brokerage account. Statement credit pays 0.7 cents per point, or $0.007. Three points at 0.7 cents is 2.1%.

Statement credit is the only option auto-redeem uses. So that switch quietly costs you a third of your rewards, every week, forever. The 0.7¢ is in gray small type at the bottom of the same screen.

You can turn the setting back off in the Rewards tab. You can't undo redemptions that already ran. Robinhood's terms: "Point redemptions can't be reversed or canceled after they have been initiated." Miss it for two months and that's gone.

So... is the Robinhood Gold Card really 3%? Yes, if you redeem to cash back. No, if you take statement credit.

Discussion / Conversation What am I missing with the Costco CC?

Why do people have the Costco CC? Is it purely for gas? Is the discounted gas and 5% back worth driving out of the way for it?

Aren’t there other Visa’s with better offers on 2% back at Costco?

I ask bc I am looking for a gas CC. My local Costco doesn’t have gas, but I drive a lot and I am near ones that do (sporadically— 10-15 miles). The AAA Travel or Abound Visa has 5% back on any gas station, so why should I get the Costco?

Discussion / Conversation Paze Sept 10th cutoff for $10 credits: authorized date vs cleared date. Play it safe and cutoff Sept 7th?

The T's & C's for the Paze $10 credit for $10 spend (10 times) by Sept 10th say "by the authorization date or the clearing date, depending on the payment network".

Given that is really unclear, thinking I should make my last purchase by Sept 7th to allow a few days to clear, if that is the worst case.

Still have a few cards to get through (about 4 of 16 between my wife and I) and they are a mixture of Chase, Citi and CapitalOne.

Thoughts?

Card Recommendation Request (Template NOT Used) X Money stuck on “We’re reviewing your information” for several business days — anyone else?

Upvotes

Got an X Money invite as a Premium+ user. I’m a US resident with an SSN and submitted everything they asked for (legal name, DOB, SSN, US address, phone, etc.).
After submitting, I got this screen:
“We’re reviewing your information
This can take up to 1 business day. Please check back later.”
It’s now been more than 2 business days with no email, no in-app update, and no request for extra docs (ID/selfie). Same screen every time I open Money.

A few details in case it matters:
X Premium+
US resident
Have SSN
Submitted the application after getting the invite
No follow-up prompt to upload ID or take a selfie so far
Checking back later does nothing — still just “reviewing”

Questions for anyone who’s already been through this:

  1. How long did your “reviewing” screen actually last? Did it clear in 1 business day, or did it drag?
  2. Did it eventually ask you for a government ID + selfie, or did it just flip to approved?
  3. Is there a support path that actually works for this? In-app Money support chat, the 888 number, or something else?
  4. Anything that unstuck it — different device, no VPN, restarting the app, rechecking that name/address matched public records exactly?

Not trying to rush a bank KYC, just trying to figure out if this is a normal backlog or if my application is sitting in a dead queue. Thanks.

Discussion / Conversation I have 8 credit cards and somehow I’m using none of them

Kind of a weird point in my setup right now.

I have 8 credit cards:

  • Redstone Visa Signature — 2 yrs 4 mos, $7,500 CL
  • Wells Fargo Active Cash — 3 yrs 3 mos, $40,000 CL
  • Wells Fargo Autograph — 3 yrs 3 mos, $16,000 CL
  • Wells Fargo Autograph #2 (PC’d from Bilt) — 2 yrs 4 mos, $4,000 CL
  • Amex Blue Cash Everyday — 5 yrs 3 mos, $45,000 CL
  • Capital One Quicksilver — 5 yrs 5 mos, $6,400 CL
  • Apple Card — 5 yrs 7 mos, $9,750 CL
  • Capital One Savor — 3 yrs 4 mos, $7,000 CL

I know some of those are repetitive. A few are just older cards (like the quicksilver)

But the funny part is that I’m basically not using any of them right now.

My actual daily setup is:
PayPal Debit #1: 5% on groceries/wholesale clubs
PayPal Debit #2 (wife’s): 5% on restaurants
X Card: 3% back on everything else (plus that juicy 6% APY)

So pretty much every category I regularly spend in is covered by a debit card at a rate that’s equal to or better than what any of my credit cards give me.
Obviously I don’t expect the X Card to still be this good for $84/year a year or two from now, but while it lasts, it’s kind of hilarious that my entire 8-card credit setup is basically sitting unused.

Anyone else somehow end up in a similar spot?

(AI use: I dictated this into ChatGPT and had it format and grammar-correct the post.)

edit 1: Added Ages and CL. Also why am I getting downvoted :(

Edit 2: Someone just DM’ed me with some very unkind words about my choice to use the X card… now I get the downvotes. What a shame. I will probably pull this post down, but that rlly sucks…

Discussion / Conversation Paze - Double check your Dunkin daily limit

I was previously doing the Dunkin gift card redemption with Paze. Previously, I was limited to 1 a day before I would get the red error messages. This morning, after waiting 24 hours, I got an error message. After checking later today, my 2 eligible cards were able to buy the rest of my gift cards without error messages (7 w/ chase and 6 w/ capital one). Double check your account, it might’ve became uncapped for you too! If not, sorry for getting your hopes up.

Help Needed / Question Paze promo: has anyone opened a new card or checking account to get another $100? Seems like another $100 SUB.

Upvotes

My Discover card just showed up as available for Paze through Capital One and got me thinking of other ways I could add cards. Would there be any downside to opening a new card or checking account to get another $100 essentially SUB? Obviously new cards would be limited, but could someone theoretically open 5 new checking accounts and use the debit card on each to get $500? Unfortunately this idea would be limited now to banks that would allow you to add it to Paze immediately.

Discussion / Conversation USBank Altitude Go quarterly cap confusion

Hello, just wanted to share something I discovered about how the Altitude Go $2,000 quarterly cap works.

I only use this card for dining purchases and normally get 4X on everything. My last statement I received only about about a quarter of the points I was expecting.

It turns out the quarterly cap is not based on purchase dates within the calendar quarter. Instead it is based on the bonus points earned on each statement within the quarter. You earn 1 point per $1 spent on dining plus 3 bonus points for dining. Just a heads up if you're trying to maximize the $2,000 spend - don't just look at purchase dates within the calendar quarter, look at your last few statements at the rewards section at the line labeled "3 Extra Points: Dining", once that hits 6,000 total between the three statements you're capped.

Depending on what day of the month your statement generates your purchases could be well outside of the quarter (in my case they generate on the 2nd so basically all June purchases counted towards the Q3 cap).

Discussion / Conversation Does CSR or Amex Plat make more sense in Salt Lake City?

Just wondering if anyone lives there and could give some advice on which is the better card to get for someone living in SLC?

Obviously for a delta hub, the amex plat would get you lounge access.

I do have about 100k chase points with a CSP so I thought getting the CSR would let me get more points for Hyatt.

Another thing to mention is open table currently has zero sapphire restaurants in SLC and there's a decent amount of resy restaurants in SLC.

Card Recommendation Request (Template Used) need US credit card recommendation I can use in the Philippines

Upvotes

Hey guys, I applied for chase visa credit cards, both freedom unlimited and sapphire preferred, thinking they’ll be compatible with most payment terminals in the Philippines but transactions keep getting declined. On the other hand, my Bilt mastercard approved almost everything, even online shopping transactions. Is there something I’m doing wrong with my chase cards? Or maybe they’re just not the best cards to use for foreign transactions, are there other cards you can recommend that I can use easy breezy in the Philippines other than Bilt mastercard? Visa options preferred if possible, mastercard is fine but I already have Bilt.

Discussion / Conversation Sending Paze Dunkin' GC to Text, message lost

Alright, anybody doing the Paze Dunkin offer and selected to send to text message instead of email? Dunkin' cheaped out and doesn't actually send a text message themselves, they just popup a new message window on your phone to send to somebody.

Well for some reason the first one I bought failed to send from my phone, and now there's no way to redeem it. There's a record of it in the history that says "claimed" because the phone loaded the preview, but no way to access it at all. The receipt sent to my email has zero info on how to claim the card.

Then I tried again and bought another one but switched out of the app for a moment, then the app closed and I lost the message popup with the GC link.

Anyone know a way of resending the messages with the link to the card, or am I going to have to deal with Dunkin support for this?

Discussion / Conversation my paze run is complete & I can finally eat other food

Finished the 10x10 today for my 15 cards: 1.5k in credits on about 1.7k worth of food (about 250 bucks spent to eat for the past two months).

The part nobody mentions is what two months of optimizing for 10 dollar orders does to you: fast food for 78 days destroyed my body. Highlights include 47 Wendy's (they remembered my car after the first week) visits, 32 bobas orders stacked, and 18 Domino's pizza that I solo'd because of the god-like "any pizza for 11.99" deal. Also in my infinite greed I torched 55 bucks because I started losing track of the transactions for the chase freedoms & got my wallet locked once for engineering charges that were suspiciously close to $10 (lesson learned, just tip higher).

Pretty sick summer, but I am eating a vegetable tonight.

Help Needed / Question Delta Amex Platinum SUB Offer

I got this offer in email:

"Apply to add the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card and earn 90,000 Bonus Miles Plus $300

Statement Credit after you spend $4,000 or more in purchases with your new Card within the first 6 months of Card Membership."

I saw that the current offer on website is "as high as 90k miles", so does this mean if I apply I'll get the top bonus? I have amex green already so i won't be getting a hard pull.

Discussion / Conversation Deciding whether holding 2 Amex Plats is worth it

I’m currently thinking out loud and wanted to bounce my thoughts off you guys. I just added the Morgan Stanley Platinum to my setup for the free AU and the 1cpp cash out ability. My original plan was to cancel my vanilla platinum but it’s so easy to organically offset the AF plus get hundreds of additional value each year. By using the $200 airline incidental fee, $300 streaming credit, and $400 resy credit I cover the AF and have all the remaining credits such as fhr, uber cash, lululemon etc as added bonuses. What makes me question keeping it is the fact I hold so many other premium cards so even if it gives me positive value, when is it just too much. I currently hold the Vanilla Plat, MS Plat, Amex Green (just downgraded gold), CSR, Palladium, Strata Elite (downgrading to premier), VX, and Ritz plus all my other no AF cards. All of them give me positive value. Am I crazy for considering holding two Plats in addition to all my other premium cards or if the math works should I just let it ride at least a year with both and reevaluate next year?

Non-USA Amex Cobalt + Wealthsimple Visa Infinite Privilege

I am in Canada and currently hold these 2 cards (title) with enough credit limits, $13pm for Amex and $0pm (fees waived) for Visa.

I spend on avg $750 pm on dining / food delivery + $750 on everything else (avg pm of bills, groceries, subscriptions, activities, clothes, gadgets etc.). I travel 2 - 3 times per year, don't own a car but do rent a few times per year, and have no other major expenses on my credit card.

My question is: Is there a better card combination or a card I should add with these 2? Or is this basically the holy grail for my usage?

Wondering because I could get a free card (upto $120 yearly fees) from CIBC. But when I checked I realized that I don't even know where I would use a third card, let alone the terrible CIBC offered credit cards. But the offer did make me wonder if I maybe have a blind spot and missing something better.

Any suggestions and/or feedback is much appreciated!

Discussion / Conversation Hotel remeption example for Phoenix

I always see people here asking how to beat max out their points redemptions. Here's a good data point: I'm staying at the legacy golf resort in Phoenix Arizona for a Thanksgiving trip. Wyndham has one bedroom condos for 7500 Wyndham points a night. Transferring from Capital One points.

Cash Total for the same stay (Non-refundable / Sale Rate): $729.08 (for a Studio Suite). I redeemed 30,000 points for 4 nights and yielded ~2.4¢ per point in value. Standard Wyndham and capital one points are generally valued at ~0.9¢ to 1.1¢ each so I'm getting over 2x the value for a 3 star resort.

Discussion / Conversation Crazy things for sale on Newegg

I am late to the PAZE game but I have done about 74 transactions on Newegg. Not just random junk but stuff I can really use. What is the craziest thing you have seen on Newegg?

I literally LOL'd when I saw a headlight clip-on for Crocs.

I just want to add for anyone new to this: The search algorithm on Newegg is well--strange. Many things do not pop up as would seem logical. I have found a lot of things by accident. And just because something shows as "sold out" doesnt mean there aren't 50 other vendors selling the same thing.

Happy Hunting!

Card Recommendation Request (Template Used) Re-evaluating current credit cards

Hi all!

I truly travel for a living. I have 2 high annual fee cards that I'm taking a hard look at. I purchase all of my flights and pay for my hotels (that all get reimbursed by my company). Monthly spending is truly all travel and the like: flights, hotels, eating out, basic groceries, bars and personal. I'm finding that the Delta Reserve doesn't seem worth it anymore? I got the Bonvoy card last year when I realized I could get wayyy more points with it. I almost exclusively stay at Marriott properties, so it made sense to me? A lot of coworkers rave about the Chase Sapphire Reserve. Just looking for the smartest moves here.

·       Current cards:

o   Amex Delta Skymiles Reserve 2018

o   Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant 2025

o   Apple Card 2024

o   Chase Disney Visa 2016

·       FICO Score: 790

·       Oldest account age: 10 years

·       Income*: $80K*

·       Open to Business Cards – no

·       What's the purpose of your next card? Thinking of downgrading both Amex and replacing with one high annual fee card.

·       Do you have any cards you've been looking at? I’ve been looking at the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

·       Are you OK with category spending or do you want a general spending card? yes
