Humor Learning Programming With Fable

Post image

Hello my friends,

I started very recently embracing AI and I love it,

I decided to give a try in learning how program,

I've been using Claude Fable 5.1 to help me with it,

I've been doing it slowly so I can understand everything,

For the moment it seems going very well,

This is my first project which is a simple Calculator,

It seems to be a good start for a V1 so I will test it very soon,

Feedback is welcomed

I don't think you need fable for that

I tried Sonnet or Opus but they were saying it would be better using Notepad rather than Word... can you believe that

You have a really deep sense of humor and that's rare

“and that’s rare”

Claudish is gradually being embedded into Claude users

I would say it's load bearing

Not only that, but a load bearing foot-gun trap.

There was a question?

It seems more like a creative approach to learning than a traditional question. Using Fable's story elements could definitely help with understanding programming concepts.

LLM needed to run above word file.

Thanks for the laugh, I was laughing so hard at the code I didn’t even realize this is in Word.

Judging from the responses no one is reading the code lmao

Finally someone comments the Code,

Either image is not so good quality to be easly read either people are very bad at code reviewing.

I think most people just don’t read it anymore, I got to add and was like “ah this poor noob”, but multiply took me out lmao, then I was sure it was a joke

Or op said he was "learning to code".

Are you dumdum?

2

u/Quiet_Pudding8805 12h ago

If you read the code you can see he’s trolling hard, and if you look at his history and see he likes IntelliJ it’s more obvious

u/fephiva 4h ago

but how? even when i zoom in its impossible to read. phone problems?

2

u/DeepPresentation648 3h ago

Yh sorry for that,

But photo of the screen instead screenshot is part of the joke.

You're talking as if you had never seen a kid learning to code in this day of age with ai. I believe too that hes trolling, cos were on reddit. But this is the actual stuff you see nowadays for people "learning to code".

(except for the comments which are fucked up)

u/fephiva 13h ago

impossible to read the code sadly. quality...

u/EvilSporkOfDeath 11h ago

I cant make out any of the text, at least from my phone

u/Saulthesexmaster 9h ago

Pls post high quality pic, or share the .docx 🙏 I want to enjoy the code too but it's not discernible from my device

I just added them to the comments, lmk if you can read them

So whats ratio of Human vs AI reader here?

5

u/dehumles 14h ago

I dont get it. explanation?

8

u/DeepPresentation648 14h ago

Make an executable program in MS Word would be a big achievement... then the source code is another story

You sir, are a funny brave man, take my upvote !

I just want another version of the meme:

"I did my first website with Claude. Check it out at localhost:8080"

Jokes on you! I ant find shit on my machine! Wait no joke is still on me. I can’t find shit on my machine.
Hey Claude. Where did you put that shit?

Now why are we using word as a code editor…

2

u/CautiousCry2338 11h ago

The subtract method design is very human (just like the other methods!).

2

u/Exodus_Green 1h ago

so many layers of irony with this one. Photo instead of screenshot, using fable to learn to code, using word, the code itself, and i am sure there's more i haven't spotted.

u/DeepPresentation648 1h ago

At left side you can see my laptop with Intellij opened in a Spring Maven project if that tranquilizes you :D

u/LowIqInvestor 13h ago

Using fable to build a calculator lmao

u/MathJaxSnax 12h ago

The heck is this code and in Word too bro 🗿

1

u/Polite_Jello_377 12h ago

What’s the word count on that bad boy?

1

u/lukeet33 12h ago

Hello world fabel edition lol

1

u/Desperate_Turn_3789 12h ago

boondoggling...

1

u/Raptor_Sympathizer 12h ago

That's a pretty good start, but I think you left the spell checker on by mistake

1

u/ShitBuckets69 11h ago

The commitment to editing the text color and font while also stringing me along for a good laugh… unless somehow Word has a macro that does this. But I like to pretend you spent a lot of time getting the spacing and colors right.

Bravo. Good luck with your next version, I hope you get to 20!

It was more like: "Hey Claude write a shitty calculator in Word"

2

u/AnythingPuzzled7720 8h ago

bro the out of range on the super calculator💀

u/thomcge 7h ago

i have so many questions

1

u/Drstiny 6h ago

The hardest part about programming is coloring the tokens on the fly. You are already doing better than most of us when we started.

1

u/zimch_prog 2h ago

nice code
i especially like the division

i would also add cases for three, four, and ten

2

u/DermisCronJob 2h ago

Really, dude? “Word”? At least go for “MS Paint” if you want to be a real programmer; gotta draw your code.

Fable 5.1 and blurry code in Word. This has got to be a joke.

0

u/crazy-usernames 2h ago

Fable can code in Word. And compiler: Fable.
