The Texas Tech Penn State game still hasn’t happened. One day the prophecy will be fulfilled

If it makes it any better I have a lot of LSU family on top of this...

I wish I was kidding.

STOP THE COUNT

u/CieraVotedOutHerMom South Carolina Gamecocks 16h ago

So many storylines that UConn with a new coach / expectations for the year isn’t a national talking point :o

3

u/R_Raider86 Texas Tech • UConn 16h ago

I'm praying for 8 wins this year and a bowl win. That's all I can ask for.

u/ID_Poobaru Boise State Broncos • Gallaudet Bison 17h ago

I've actually forgotten about the Sorsby stuff because of this

16

u/EnTyme53 Texas Tech Red Raiders • Hateful 8 15h ago

I would recommend that you not forget. Sorsby probably wasn't even the first, just the first to get caught. There is a gambling epidemic among Gen Z men that no one is talking about, and with an almost complete lack of regulation for betting markets, it's only going to get worse.

8

u/semi-bro Auburn Tigers • Old Dominion Monarchs 13h ago

That's ridiculous, we are not that bad. Anyway on a different subject I've been making some bets on kalshi about what program is most likely to have a player get caught gambling on games this year, think USC is a safe choice?

5

u/goofyhalo Ole Miss Rebels • Sugar Bowl 17h ago

Same here at least for now, but whenever Texas Tech plays Houston, Arizona, etc. I’ll be rooting for those teams to beat the Red Raiders.

4

u/joethahobo Houston Cougars • Pac-12 13h ago

I knew there was still some good in the SEC

u/thisshitsstupid Alabama Crimson Tide 17h ago

Its crazy how quickly Texas Tech became old news and over shadowed by something somehow fucking worse. Quiet impressive really.

16

u/LordKieron Washington Huskies • Cascade Clash 16h ago

They're both bad but I do actually think that gambling on your own team that you are playing for is worse for the integrity of the sport.

2

u/thisshitsstupid Alabama Crimson Tide 16h ago

They're both horrible. It's hard for me to say which I think is worse.

0

u/Beaux7 LSU Tigers 16h ago

You just said it was worse though?

5

u/thisshitsstupid Alabama Crimson Tide 16h ago

I'm leaning its worse. But when you stop to think about it, idk. Both are terrible for the sport.

-2

u/Beaux7 LSU Tigers 16h ago

It’s simply not. Guys coming back that would have been back anyway if the rule was passed a month or so earlier is not the same as a guy who was consistently betting on games

-4

u/geaux124 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs • LSU Tigers 16h ago

If any school would know about playing former professional athletes its Alabama.

5

u/thisshitsstupid Alabama Crimson Tide 16h ago

Care to elaborate?

-2

u/geaux124 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs • LSU Tigers 16h ago

Charles Bediako played basketball for Alabama from 2021 to 2023. He then played 3 seasons in the g league. In January of 2026 he filed and was granted a TRO to return to college. He played 5 games for Alabama before the TRO expired and was denied permanent elegibility.

3

u/thisshitsstupid Alabama Crimson Tide 16h ago

Idk shit about fuck when it comes to basketball. Im not sure what the G league is vs the NFL, but yeah if its the same then thats fucking stupid and shouldn't be allowed.

Both are absolutely shit. Competition on which shit stinks more isn't one you want to be in.

1

u/Cookielicous Michigan Wolverines 7h ago

What happened at Texas Tech?

1

u/yesacabbagez UCF Knights 16h ago

Nah, gambling is worse.

This is more dumb, but gambling is worse.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

u/blacfd 17h ago

How much are you willing to bet that people lose interest in Texas Tech?

169

u/EveryManAViKing Texas Tech • Texas Tech 17h ago

You can’t lose interest in Tech, that’s collusion, so good luck with that.

Incoming Cody Campbell motion to intervene.

32

u/jsmeeker Texas Tech Red Raiders 17h ago

That won't happen. Cody Campbell is inevitable.

Tale as old as time. Notre Dame (guaranteed playoff spot), Michigan (Sherrone), Penn State (every other week), etc have been exactly where you are within the last year. The sport is a soap opera for men.

4

u/tee142002 LSU Tigers 17h ago

Penn State's PR team won the off-season with their timing on the Paterno family experience timing

3

u/Shot-Toe-2884 Iowa Hawkeyes • Northern Iowa Panthers 16h ago

Honestly your fanbase should be thanking LSU because you guys actually took a stand against your university on this shit. Where are the LSU fans? By comparison, your guys seem downright responsible.

5

u/Aidanj927 Texas Tech Red Raiders • UTSA Roadrunners 15h ago

Hey now we never got into a full on legal battle, we backed down the second we realized the Big 12 could do something

5

u/trugrav Ole Miss Rebels 15h ago

Lane and LSU seriously saw the Tech fiasco and said, “hold my beer.” Y’all are officially off the hot seat.

Texas Tech, Penn St, TCU, and LSU having once in a generation type scandals all at the same time was truly not what I was expecting this CFB season

You see, it’s hard to do that when you Cody Campbell’s keeps opening his mouth. I feel bad for you guys that just wish he’d shut the hell up.
