I’d definitely watch a game of the LSU club team having to play against a good opponent.
Just one game, and maybe not the whole thing before I’d start to feel kind of bad. But they’d probably get a couple fun highlights out of the experience

No, this is the end. This is calling the bluff. These are state institutions in a different jx, the judge can't join them as parties, the judge can't compel them to play. This made it federal, just like tech, it moots the judge.

So, is this gonna play out like the Sorsby situation I wonder.
A court eventually compels the conferences to accept former NFL player, said player joins team, other teams boycott playing that team, and said player decides it's not worth the hassle.

Technically speaking there are deepsea creatures that sustain life based on chemical reactions near lava vents far under the ocean. However they do share a common ancestor that all discovered life shares. So maybe at one point they did need sunlight. Idk. Someone with a degree not in digital media feel free to weigh in

In fairness to the Euro players, for many of them if they want to play organized basketball beyond the age of 15 or so, it will happen in a "professional" league due to the academy system over there.

For a more extreme example, Luka doncic was under contract at Real Madrid when he was 13 years old and played in the euroleague at 16

u/Robbza Huddersfield Hawks 9d ago
To be fair as a European the entire structure of sports development comes from professional sports clubs youth teams. Legally they have to sign work contracts and be paid. Im not a basketball guy so If there are some European countries where this doesn't apply oops.

Definitely the silver lining for LSU pushing hard for this that it actually resulted in the conferences making rules against it with legitimate and legal right to do so in their own leagues and not the limp dick NCAA.
Hopefully this means conferences start doing damage control on some things the NCAA can't (which is everything). The problem with that is the conferences have to get over their power conflict to be willing to do anything that doesn't give them an advantage or puts another competitor enormously ahead. To their credit, they're in very fragile positions, even the Big 10 and SEC on being hesitant to make these decisions and rules within their leagues, so it's not like they're being greedy (for the most part)
