As of this morning he's tied for the lead in HRs with Junior Caminero, ahead of Pete Alonso by 2 RBIs, and his BA is .317 over Chandler Simpson's .312. (do you still get the Triple Crown if you're only tied for the lead?)

While he is top 5 in these categories MLB-wide, he's 3 HRs behind Kyle Schwarber and 11 RBIs behind Sal Stewart, so the MLB-wide Triple Crown is looking like a bit of a stretch.

Perhaps that set an unfair expectation for the slew of surgically repaired Astros who followed. Holding someone to Verlander’s standard is silly, but during two consecutive trade deadlines, the Astros’ front office has attempted it. Failing to fortify the starting rotation left Houston reliant on pitchers returning from Tommy John surgery to make a meaningful impact.

Last year, Luis Garcia and Cristian Javier could not do it. Ronel Blanco sports a 6.59 ERA and has proved incapable of providing a boost across his first 27 1/3 innings this season, his first since he had Tommy John surgery in June 2025.

Wesneski had the operation at almost the same time. He has credited Blanco for being one of his lone constants during a lonely recovery. The two right-handers operated on a similar timeline and, ostensibly, with comparable rehab plans. That one is flourishing and another is floundering represents the most frustrating part of this process.

Hey y'all. A quick Google search returned a bunch of past threads and comments from fans complaining about major "dead zones" and hot spots around the stadium. Specifically, Mezzanine or the upper 300/400 decks

My family has 4 season tickets over in the Crawford Boxes, and lately, it has been absolutely brutal, it easily feels like it cracks 90°F+ with zero airflow. We are visibly sweating, having to walk out to the concourses to cool down, and I finally purchased some handheld USB fans just to sit through the game.

It's pretty wild considering the new naming rights. You’d think an air conditioning giant like Daikin would want their flagship stadium to be a freezing cold showcase of what their tech can do. The team store could sell more of those jackets for Houston summers :).

For those who sit in other areas like the Mezzanine or the upper 300/400 decks, are you guys experiencing the same thing this season? Is it a stadium-wide airflow issue, or are the Crawford Boxes just trapping all the heat?

I genuinely love our seats and want to see stadium ops work with Daikin to dial in the climate control. Curious to hear what it’s like in your sections.
