Similar situation, still can’t smell or taste. Had an upper respiratory chest infection that I mistook for Covid cough. 32 days straight with a fever. Finally went to see my Dr and she sent me straight to the ER.

You didn't hear it from me but if you don't have any psychosis risk, research presently suggests acid might help fix those neural pathways right up. I tried some before the findings came out on a whim and sure enough, I could taste again.

RSV. So sick, couldn’t sleep as constant coughing. Couldn’t swallow as it felt like swallowing glass. Eyes infected. Went to emergency for pain shot. Three rounds of antibiotics and prednisone. When the RSV vaccine came out I got it.

I still have no v taste or smell either on top of that I have no feeling in my feet or hands for the rest of my life due to the spinal cord injury, nerve damage and 13 screws 2 cadaver bones & titanium plate in my neck
