I went into a Bipolar episode at the age of 15 and was put on an SSRI because the doctor I saw didn’t know, and I was catapulted into a much worse mixed episode where I went psychotic, called the cops, ended up in inpatient for weeks I don’t even know how much time passed. I guess I’m pretty healthy all things considered for that to be my worst sickness. I have been on meds a long time and am doing great!
Good for you, good to know that some people can manage their bipolar disease. My older son could not. He took himself out of this world over six years ago when he was 27 years old. His beautiful soul was not meant to survive in this world.
I usually say that there is no help or hope for bipolar disease. And i tried so frigging hard to help him in any way I could. You give me hope that there might be sine kind of hope.
