Right now. Have terminal cancer. Had my ups and downs but last week a tumour was pressing against one of my lungs and I was in unbearable pain for a few days, thankfully on good pain killers now. But had 90% of my stomach removed, most of my esophagus removed and a years worth of chemo so far. Despite that my spirits are still high and I'm enjoying time with my friends and family and getting out there doing shit.
I'm in the same boat as you, mate. Terminal renal cancer. I've lost too many organs from the damage done, including most of my stomach too. I guess I've been somewhat lucky as I've never had chemo (it's not effective against renal cancer), but my hair has still fallen out because I am radioactive (my current treatment involves radioactive agents). I'm well and truly past my use-by date, but any extra time I have now is just icing on the cake. I can't work anymore but I get to enjoy my time with my kids, family, and friends.
I’m so sorry to hear this and I can’t imagine having to deal with knowing that it’s terminal . You seem in much better spirits than I would be . I cry every time I get a pap or mammogram just waiting for results 😭prayers for you 🙏🏾
I'm so so sorry your time is being cut short like that, but I hope you can feel comfort in your loved ones, and that you can do loads of things in your time.
Thank you for sharing this, your perspective completely changed my own on some current issues I’m dealing with. Everything is manageable, one way or another. Keeping you in my prayers and wishing you all the best🫶🏾
You are beyond amazing. I am privileged to meet you, internet 🧡 friend, and I am so glad you are enjoying time with friends and family. They are very lucky to know you❤️ I will keep you in my thoughts, so sorry you have to go through this.
Oh wow, this one hit hard. Feel hugged, you’re so strong, I’m glad you’re still here ❤️ I hope life will become more bearable somehow soon, while obviously keeping you here on this earth with your loved ones. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you and will join you in your high spirits!
I am so sorry to hear that. Cancer is an absolute bitch. Props to you for keeping your spirits high, that’s really the best thing you can do in these situations. I hope you have the most amazing days ahead of you and you experience all the love possible from your family and friends.
I assume you mean psilocybin. It does not cure nerve damage - it has neuroprotective properties that prevent nerve damage. That's a huge difference, especially for someone who's been on chemo for a year.
