I just posted about this! I had the same thing happen to me. UTI to kidney infection to sepsis.

The weird part was I didn't feel very sick. I had some back pain, felt off when I had a fever, but mainly felt fine. I drove myself to the ER when I first noticed the fever and back pain, and drove myself back to the ER when I got the call the next day that I needed to come back because I had sepsis. The nurses were shocked I wasn't in "call an ambulance" condition and felt mostly fine.

My kidney infection started around Christmas time. From one antibiotic to the next. Put my on cipro around Feb 1 and went down hill fast. Wound up at John’s Hopkins in Baltimore near the end of February. Turns out the cipro was basically killing me. Switched antibiotics again and felt better a week later. Thank god for that urologist at Hopkins

Same. Had an awful time with Covid. Gave birth twice. Kidney infection moving towards sepsis was by far the worst. I thought that I was dying and I was right.

This happened to me. I walked into an ER and asked if it was normal that I couldn’t feel my hands. Apparently I was hours from death…fun times.

I had no idea I had an infection - I just suddenly felt like id been hit by a truck, and became so cold (it was 80° that day) that I was tremoring and shaking uncontrollably, yet I had struck a fever. Went to ER, I was told I'd been likely only hours from developing sepsis.

Kidney infections are scary!
