I don’t feel good. I haven’t felt good for years. 2 years, I’ve had headaches everyday, I’m dizzy no matter what I’m doing, breathing is a struggle as is talking and blinking. Everything one normally does in a day, walking and speaking, and listening to people is painfully exhausting. I’m always SO tired. When I wake up I’m as tired as I’d went to bed, and I’m so sick of it. My weight gains, then I lose it, and repeat. My hair hasn’t grown any bit in months and it’s falling out slowly. My wrists hurt, my fingers, my chest, my eyes, my left rib. Stuff always hurts. Abnormal periods, sometimes no period for months. My vision is messed up, and I hear people talking to me all day. My eyelashes hurt. I literally have no idea what to do. I’m nauseous, I can’t live in my body anymore I’m miserable. Should I get this checked out? Eating habits are weird but not concerning, and I have lack of judgement and impaired decision making skills. I regret things right after I do them, even if I have no consequences. My bones crack abnormally. Like, I’m 16 and my body moves like I’m 55. No bowel movements for weeks at a time, and I cannot stress this enough, I’m SO DIZZY. I’m not sure if this is hypochondria or what but I’ve literally fainted from this multiple times, and going to school is such a hardship to me and has been since middle school. I do have family history with cancer but it can’t be leukemia or breast cancer. I can’t even remember the last time I was actually feeling healthy. Don’t know that I ever was. I’m so sorry I have no where else to ask for help. Should i see a doctor? What do I do? Any ideas on what could be ruining my life at all? If not it’s cool.

I had a blood draw this morning. They did the pull the finger out of the glove trick. They had to poke me three times and after the second time they use their bare finger to proceed to feel around for a vein but the bare finger went on where I was bleeding from a previous poke that they had done as well. Should I be worried

Looking for some advice, I’m a 25yr old male and have been experiencing a kind of dead/aching feeling in both legs for just over a week. I’ve been to hospital and they have supposedly done all the necessary tests; bloods, mri scans, ect… and have found no cause of immediate worry. The neurologists have booked me in for a nerve conduction study but won’t be completed till end of next year! Anyone been in a similar situation and have any advice or coping remidies ? Thank you

I want to note I was on Cipro for a uti before this as well.
This has never happened to me before even with Covid.
But wanted to come on here with the bit of energy I have to write. I'm 22 years old and long story but I'm traveling in South Africa for two weeks I was completely fine then I got shivers and dizziness flying from South Africa to Zanzibar, I was shivering and felt weak and had lots of bowl movements (I don't have gallbladder to take into consideration). next day a elevated fever (38)and no appetite at all and a doctor came to see me ran a blooo test and picked up bacteria infection so she said I had gastroenteritis and gave me antibiotics fluid for a day then pills | took for 3 days swing I'd get better. But still 3 days later had same symptoms so another doc gave me more fluids and antibiotic IVs 4 times and I couldn't fall asleep and have no appetite and was super tired so went to a private hospital and he just gave me IV b12 and anxiety meds for my panic attack. Then I did manage to sleep but ever since (5 days now) I've lost my appetite completely and I sleep 8+ hours a night and wake up exhausted extremely badly. Today it's hard to even be on my phone and I gotta fly back to the USA later tonight.i also can't sleep normally without meds because i get such bad anxiety and have to take lorazepam
I did get blood and urine tests the last couple days, 1 am negative for any other infections and my liver, kidneys, vitamin D, B12, bloods, thyroid, are normal. My temp is staying at 37 as well.
Any advice? It's such a struggle: (. Couldn't even celebrate my birthday yesterday or eat.

I went to a doctor in Atlanta about six months ago. I had bad stomach pains, nausea, fever and I knew something was wrong. I felt it…

It turned out that it was gastritis. Prescribed antacids and told to get some rest. Discharged me…

But two days later, there I was again in the ER. Had perforated my appendix. Was operated on in emergency…

Now I am facing the consequences. Heavy medical bills. Health problems for life. My body is not the same

I trusted that doctor. He was supposed to be the expert. And he got it wrong

My friends are furious for me. They tell me to call a lawyer and they say this is medical malpractice.

But then I found out that in Georgia, you require an opinion from another doctor before even filing a lawsuit, and that is going to be expensive. Not to mention that I don't think I have the energy for all of that.

I trusted my life in their hands, and they betrayed that trust

And now I am left with the aftermaths

But I also feel hopeful about being able to make them accountable

I’m 29 Female who takes Effexor (75 mg) In November I’ll be having my hemmeroids removed. 2 days prior to the surgery I have to drink either COLYTLY or PEGLYTE … I’ve never had this done before or taken either of these ugh cleanses… what can I expect? How do i take my medication with the liquid diet I’ll be on ?

Also.. cream of wheat?

171/116 is my 30 day average wakeUp numbers. All the meds that I take make me feel non-functional. I am 53. Is.this.serious enough to.warrent taking meds that make me feel sick?

I’m scheduled to get a CT scan next week and they gave me this contrast drink shake thing and i’m supposed to drink two full bottles of it.

i have a fear of throwing up and im worried the contrast is going to make me sick. i’ve never done this before so im freaking myself out.

has anyone had experience with having to drink contrast? will i be okay?

I don't normally go about looking at my eyes in mirrors, but one day I happened to be looking in a mirror and noticed that my eyes looked strange. I noted it, but didn't think much about it and went about living my life. One day the subject came up and I asked my girlfriend if she'd look at my eyes and tell me what color they were.

I laid down, she looked over me and gazed into my eyes. We had the following exchange:

*GF*: This one is gray around the outer rim. Aaaannd this one is.. uhh.. Well it's.. Now this one is.. uhh....[sits back] They're changing colors.

*Myself*: You're telling me my eyes are changing colors while you are looking at them?

*GF*: Yeah.

She made this wavy motion with her body to describe the motion of the colors she saw in my eyes. I believed she saw what she saw, but part of me thought perhaps it was an optical illusion of some kind. Weeks later, I believe, I used a vanity mirror with a magnifying mirror on one side to get a good look at one of my eyes myself and, sure enough, I saw what she saw.

At first my iris was more of a turqoise. Then the turqoise gradually faded to green as I watched. But it wasn't just green. The green area covered from the outer rim to maybe the mid section of the iris, between the inner rim and outer rim. From that point to roughly the inner rim my iris was yellow.

Although the green did not exactly fade into yellow, rather the two colors appeared as if two liquids. The yellow undulated against the green, waving around the mid section of my iris like a wave pool.

Directly around the iris is a brown area that seems more as if it were growing on top of the iris. This section appears to grow when my pupil dilates and shrink, turning into yellow, when the pupil constricts. It seems as though the brown section holds the melanin of my iris when the pupil dilates and releases it into the rest of the iris when the pupil constricts.

Additionally, the texture of my iris appears different than what I usually see in photographs and movies. Rather than an interweaving web of muscle fiber my iris appears more like a velvety elastic sheet. My girlfriend says it's like looking into a squid eye. Not that my eyes look literally like squid eyes, but she means they don't look human.

My girlfriend says there are more colors. For instance, she says, under certain conditions, my eyes turn to a "beautiful blue."

Previous medical history:
About a year and a half ago, I had a brain tumor surgically removed. Before it was removed, it was putting pressure on my optic nerve and affecting my vision.
Current complaint:
I am having pain/pressure at the upper part of my nose, right between my eyes. It feels like a headache or pressure behind my eyes.
My eyes also hurt when I move them.
The symptom that concerns me the most is that when I look downward, I notice a loss/reduction of my peripheral vision.
Duration:
Started about 6 days ago
Location of pain:
Between my eyes/upper bridge of my nose, with discomfort behind my eyes.
Other symptoms:
Pain when moving my eyes
Headache/pressure between my eyes
Peripheral vision seems reduced when looking downward
My left eye is worse than the other
I was advised that because of my previous brain tumor and optic nerve compression, these new vision symptoms may need urgent evaluation.
I am hesitant to go to the ER because I am worried about the cost, but I also do not want to ignore something that could affect my vision.
Does this combination of symptoms warrant an ER visit, especially given my previous optic nerve compression? Are there specific warning signs that would make this an immediate emergency?
I understand Reddit cannot diagnose me, but I would appreciate guidance on how urgently I should be evaluated.
