I knew a person who worked on multiple projects lead by Navalny. So it made it comfortable for me to share a lot of information with them that I would otherwise keep to myself. Including information that would've completely compromised me

Well, yesterday I accidentally stumbled on an interview where that person explains that they used to work with FSB 🤡 For context, I left Russia because someone reported me to authorities due to certain activities that the gestapo deemed inappropriate. I now wonder if it had anything to do with that person

That is to say, you are absolutely right and the mofos have their hands in everyone's arses

Seems like the only social trust you can really have is trust that someone is compromised and for everyone else, that could be you. It is a sad state of affairs.

This reminds me of my grandfather. He was from Hungary, was alive during the war and for the entirety of the Soviet times. When the wall came down and the Warsaw pact countries liberalized, and all the intelligence agency files were declassified, he found out one of his closest friends had been reporting on him and everyone else for decades.
