They sent a drone to bomb the fucking Chernobyl power plant ffs. Damaging the protective cover that took years to build and is nearly impossible to be fully repaired for zero military benefit whatsoever only to cause panic for civilians is some of the most irresponsible, pettiest actions of this entire war.

Of course, I'm not minimizing countless other direct attacks against strictly civilian targets that cost many lives, but this illustrates how Ruzzia pretense of fairness and legitimacy is just bullshit.

You left out the part about how they also hunted local wildlife and cooked the meat over fires started with wood from local trees. I wonder how those guys are doing these days?

It was not part of the plan for those guys to survive for very long, so being exposed to radioactive materials was probably of very little concern to the russian leaders.

They're not dumb though- They have a long history of "throwing bodies" at their enemy. Just sending their men off to war knowing that they're sending them to suicide missions figuring that the kamakazi method will eventually pay off.

There have been times in Russia when it did I guess... (at the cost of families and the economic success of Russia I would argue) but not this time.

Ruzzia also bombed a building that stores spent nuclear fuel about 9 miles away from the Chernobyl power plant a couple of months back.

Welcome to war. It’s why I’m a big history buff. I’m sure Russia harboring hate from WW2, same for Israel in their situation with the mandate and everything that followed.. although they are getting some daddy’s money help lol. But yeah, even though it’s not justifiable to us.. it is to them. I’ve been reading ordinary men and one of my favorite quotes was in the preface, "When all is said and done, a single word ‘understanding,’ is the beacon light of our studies." I’m sure we’ll never get it if we’re bombing radioactive zones lol.. but it sounds good at least
