[We] assumed that these were purely civilian facilities and could not be targets of any kind of attacks even amid an armed conflict,” Putin said.

Cool story

They blew up another shopping mall in the middle of the day in Kharkiv late last week. They hit a children's hospital with absolutely no military targets anywhere close to it in Kyiv, 2024. Multiple KH-101 missiles hit it accurate to 50 meters. They blow up our power and water and heating infrastructure constantly and especially in early winter so we freeze. They shot cluster munitions into the train station in Kramatorsk in 2022, killing more than 60 civilians. They have been blowing up individual gas stations across the country for years. They ... Well, you hopefully get it.

This entire war after the first few days has been a terror campaign to drain Ukrainians from the country and into Europe to destabilize it. And those who stay behind are to be raped, tortured, and murdered, or conscripted to fight their next war.

533

u/Bananaland_Man 17h ago

And yet they're surprised and mad when y'all do it back to them. Funny how the rhetoric from them changes once their own shit gets flung back on them. Maybe Putin shouldn't be trying to invade other countries... I wish Mr. Orange would take note with his own illegal war.

137

u/inspirationalSloth 17h ago

He did but he has dementia so he is colouring on the walls again. Something about building the wall it will be yuge and it will be called the Great freedom Wall of America

54

u/Bananaland_Man 17h ago

And the Gulf of America, and Lake America, and, possibly in the future, the Great Ocean of America (he literally "joked" about renaming the Atlantic ocean)

This timeline is a joke, I just hope I'm alive long enough to see the time where we're laughing about how stupid things were "back in the mid 2020's"

25

u/Delimeme 15h ago

I hope we can laugh too, but I’m worried we’re too far gone for it to turn around into mockery at a wide scale. Or if it does, that it’ll be useless speech on corporatized social media platforms, not institutionally backed places like schools. Lord help us all. My optimism tanks are running reaaally low

2

u/Antraxess 8h ago

People are going to get really fucking serious when the heatwave and price of food hit. These GOP and oligarchs are not prepared.

Their control is an illusion that they themselves have bought into

-4

u/ConcentrateKlutzy879 7h ago

As bad as y'all say or think it's been under the Orange Man, imagine how over this country would be had Kamaltoe won! 🤮😳😱

9

u/Shalea68 15h ago

Don't forget Greenland. He'll call it Americaland or something like that. He's like a dog pissing on everything to claim its territory. Except, dogs are closer to being human than he will ever be.

5

u/Bananaland_Man 14h ago

and Puerto America, and Americuba, and Amerizuela...

2

u/New_Series3209 10h ago

Atp let’s rename USA the united joke of America

1

u/Bananaland_Man 9h ago

I hate how much I'd prefer to take this over other nonsense happening.

2

u/CicadaFit9756 9h ago edited 9h ago

Trumpty Dumpty "forgets" (as if this "dumba$$" ever learned it in the first place [lest we forget, he ranked as one of the worst students in his graduating classes!]) that all the continents on this side of the globe already have "America" in their names (North, Middle & South America!)

2

u/RealOrangeKoi 8h ago

The first day in office of the next prez, they sure as shit better undo the gulf of america and lake america bs. (I know it was just a shit attempt at a distraction and to piss people off, but it just makes us look bad)

1

u/No_Ninja2180 9h ago

Atlantic?!? Come on, you know he’ll target the biggest, deepest, and most greatest ocean…the Pacific.

1

u/Bananaland_Man 5h ago

not gonna lie, I went back to relisten to his "joke" and he said "pacific or Atlantic or maybe both of them, who knows" or something like that... wild after renaming gulf of Mexico and lake Ontario and wanting to take Canada, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Greenland..

1

u/oface1 7h ago

“ The Orange Days “….. that’s what I’m going to tell my grands and great grands what this timeline was.

1

u/QwipQwop_007 5h ago

And the Trump Strait instead of the Hormuz Strait (not Strait of Hormuz)

1

u/DoomKayKay 5h ago

The real planets name, we're living on, is America, didn't you know?

1

u/ReignbowBlack 2h ago

Sadly I don't think we will last that long. With everything that's going on. I agree about this timeline, now they turned off cern for reprogrammed notice time is going back to being slow and it's getting darker earlier than usual? What is cern doing now. Also I thought we were going to drill oil over here.

1

u/zerothreeonethree 2h ago

I hope I'm alive then too but I won't be laughing at anything that's causing millions of people so much suffering. Think about the Holocaust. Treat all misery the same way. Don't laugh at it.

-1

u/CannedHeat2828 8h ago

Im still laughing about the dementia comment above. Biden didnt even know he was President a week after he left office, but Orange Man has lost his faculties? Classic.

4

u/Aggravating-Exit-660 14h ago

colouring the walls

With his own fucking faeces. He’s a contemptible little shit.

2

u/inspirationalSloth 11h ago

It’s bold of you to assume his shits are solid enough to colour the walls

2

u/Aggravating-Exit-660 10h ago

solid

Diarrhea is literally watercolours for schizos

-1

u/Bananaland_Man 9h ago

i hear he's bigger than a little shit... xD those videos of people's faces near him...

2

u/No-Feedback-221 7h ago

I laughed at “yuge”. That’s exactly how he says it

2

u/Aldo_says 14h ago

Meanwhile google and Tim Apple will latch onto it like their billions depended on public opinion.

2

u/Dubalubawubwub 10h ago

Someone should take the paint off of him... ohhhhh... that's not paint...

2

u/Independent_Pop_9987 10h ago

I wish I could speak my mind on here but I cant I'll get banned lol but man I hate people. Too many people are exactly like putin they just don't have power like he does.

2

u/Goikebiergu 8h ago

Also Russian civilians will just film their burning refineries from next to their windows or even in the fucking streets because they know the AFU won't target them unlike the fascist scum in their own army will Ukrainian civilians.

2

u/Bananaland_Man 6h ago

Yup! Ukraine specifically targeted refineries after hours (so there were less casualties), while Russia has targeted hospitals and schools and city centers in broad daylight while people were there purposefully targeting people.

2

u/windypine69 6h ago

but Ukraine isn't 'doing it back to them'. they are not on a campaign of terror, they are hitting ligit military targets and infrastructure. if that's terrorizing to russians, to damn bad.

1

u/Available_Usual_9731 15h ago

Typical conservative garbage, dontchaknow

1

u/Bananaland_Man 14h ago

ughhhh I hate the level of truth in this

1

u/Careless-Middle5816 9h ago

We have one dementia president followed by another right, although I still laugh at the fact that people said Biden didn’t have it or didn’t know he did.

1

u/Shephard546 9h ago

The last "Legal" war America was in was World War 2. Lol

1

u/John-AtWork 7h ago

Maybe it will take five years for Trump to learn from his stupid mistake too.

1

u/causabibamus 2h ago

"The problem started when the victim struck back."

0

u/HellaHS 17h ago

You’re literally pushing Russian narratives about the U.S. attacks on Iran lol

7

u/Bananaland_Man 17h ago

because Russia attacking Ukraine is just as bad, if not worse, than Trump doing anything at all in Iran.

4

u/Bananaland_Man 16h ago

Yeah, and many citizens there agree with the sentiment...hell, categorically, most do... but they have to do it anonymously because freedom of speech is dead in those places, and dying here (sadly). Your comment doesn't make any of this better, and I'm glad I'm not in either place.

0

u/HellaHS 14h ago

The idea that freedom of speech is dying here is absolutely wild. Freedom of speech was completely DEAD until Elon bought X and Republicans took back power. You didn’t notice it because you were the ones censoring us.

The U.S. striking the Iranian leadership and their military used to support terrorism around the region was the right thing to do.

I get that you people don’t like Israel, but Iran funding all these terror networks attacking civilians is what gives Israel the excuse to continue bombings.

Trump is trying to take it all off the table so the fighting stops, and if Israel acts out from there, they will have no excuse.

3

u/Bananaland_Man 14h ago

Freedom of speech has never lead to issues of government shutting it down until Trump didn't like what people said.

If you think freedom of speech has been dead for awhile, then you probably think websites and people shutting you down for saying things was an infringement, which has nothing to do with freedom of speech. There's a lovely xkcd for this, freedom of speech means the government won't act on you for saying shit. (hatespeech is not protected... and it's funny how in modern times hatespeech is more allowed by the administration than people speaking out against it) it does not protect you from communities saying what you say is bad or bannable.

0

u/HellaHS 13h ago

A complete misunderstanding of the Biden Administration. The Biden Administration was applying massive pressure to social media websites to censor anyone questioning covid.

Beyond that, yes, there was also just greesy little communist weasels like you working at these companies shutting down and banning anyone who went against their narratives.

As a US citizen, I feel we entirely deserve whatever clap back we get because of the actions of the Trump regime.

Maybe that will get the attention of those that say 'there's no difference between the two parties why should I vote?'

But it probably won't.

Because those that say that sort of claptrap swallow, propaganda, hook, line, and sinker. And I suspect they would have to live in utter ruins to get the point.

3

u/Bananaland_Man 6h ago

It's such a shit situation. And the suppression of media has made it harder for population in smaller counties (who make up the majority of the country) with less access to stable internet or more than local cable (and most local networks are owned by ONE far-right company!)... ugh... wake me up when the ride's over =x.x=

1

u/PolkaDotDancer 6h ago

Wake me up when these crooked fookers face The Hague!

100

u/EmperorGeek 17h ago

Putin is crying tears that nobody believes. What he didn’t prepare for was Ukraine not rolling over and capitulating!

10

u/The_Dude_2U 17h ago

History should have taught him that. Some people are unteachable.

1

u/Illustrious_Maize624 7h ago

Happy Cake Day!

1

u/ReignbowBlack 2h ago

Great now I want cake 🤣🎂

32

u/No-Spoilers 14h ago

They bombed a theater in Mariupol in the opening days of the war with hundreds of kids in it, it was clearly labeled that there were kids in it. They did it anyway.

And then they put up walls around it with pictures of what it looked like before while they demolished and rebuilt it. It is now once again a theater, but the kids are all in a dump some where and the families will now never get closure.

11

u/Big-Compote-5483 13h ago

Fuck idk how I didn't have that one ready to go. Of course, one of the most despicable acts of the 21st century.

I wasn't in Mariopul and was rattling off things and places I have seen. But Mariopul will go down as possibly the greatest single siege/slaughter of civilian life outside of Africa to this point in modern times.

1

u/ReignbowBlack 2h ago

That is so sad, God bless those children 🙏🙏🙏

1

u/ReignbowBlack 2h ago

That is so sad, God bless those children 🙏🙏🙏

u/Sidepool234 1h ago

Who rebuilt the theatre? Large construction projects are ongoing in a war zone? Please pardon my ignorance.

31

u/throwaway19276i 17h ago

A children's hospital.. this is just cartoonishly evil

21

u/Big-Compote-5483 13h ago

Indeed. And I came over here slightly skeptical. But I walked past that hospital numerous times and the only way, and the only thing to hit, was aiming for it. I can say that with firsthand experience. It's undeniable they did it on purpose.

And I still remember the day and time: 10:30am on a Sunday morning if my brain hasn't turned to mush. They did that on purpose. It was a catalyst for me and what I'm doing now.

1

u/twiggeesmalls 2h ago

Very close - it was a Monday but 10:30 am is right - I was close enough to hear those and feel the shockwave of one or two and will never forget clearing rubble from the hospital grounds

1

u/clippist 7h ago

What are you doing now

3

u/wbruce098 9h ago

Unlike some other people, I remember when he struck these places a few years ago. He was doing so to destroy the will of the Ukrainians to defend their nation after his own army suffered massive humiliation. But people like him are so short sighted and stupid, they don’t realize that it comes back to them and their own supporters stop supporting them.

2

u/MuchIron2453 17h ago

If you’re surprised, you might learn about… well, most other wars in history :/
Those who start wars never experience the consequences, and that’s something that will always end in suffering

1

u/ReignbowBlack 2h ago

I want to know whenever there's a war overseas we have to get in it. I say let them fight their own fight. We need to mind our business and take care our own country.

3

u/Emotional_Remove_755 11h ago

Children’s hospital in Ukraine, children’s school in Iran-it’s all the same to these people.

1

u/Diligent-Luck4331 4h ago

It's normal evil. You don't see it on tv often.

62

u/supermarkise 17h ago

We further west don't feel particularly destabilized by Ukrainian refugees tbh. It might be plain racism but I've rarely heard about issues (since most people blend in visually very easily).

33

u/Big-Compote-5483 17h ago

Your challenging political parties (at least in Germany, France, and obviously the US) use it for propaganda. Not to mention what's happening in Poland atm. And I'm sure it will get worse if another ~4mm people cross the border because Kyiv and Lviv end up being unlivable for families. They already emptied out half of Kharkiv; they could try the same in those places and it seems like they are already in Kyiv.

6

u/ehjoshmhmm 17h ago

It's not so much visually as culturally. They share many of the same cultural values as many Western countries and are able to assimilate without much friction, assuming they speak the language. The same is not true for many other countries' refugees.

3

u/tylkoniejulka 15h ago

maybe further west you don’t but in Poland there’s sadly A LOT of anti-Ukrainian sentiments currently, and two plainly anti-Ukrainian (and consequently, pro-Russian) political parties have been on the steady rise for the past few years. together they could probably score between 20-30% seats in the parliament when next election comes. that’s terrifyingly much considering the pro-Kremlin bullsh*t they spew

2

u/Fawji 17h ago

Appreciate the honesty, I recall at the start the Ukrainians saying that they were different to normal refugees as they were white and blue eyed which didn’t sit well with me tbh.

11

u/Big-Compote-5483 13h ago

The fuck is this? Very few Ukrainians have blue eyes. I'd wager what brought them there has more of a difference in perception of treatment. They were invaded by a dictator controlling one of the most powerful militaries on the planet who is actively threatening half of Europe; most immigrants to Europe are fleeing civil wars.

1

u/Flo_Philly 5h ago

You guys both are right Ukrainians get sympathy because of who they’re fighting (also them often going to other countries in Europe there’s shared cultural elements) But also it is 100% true that immigrants fleeing from the same/similar/worse conditions but aren’t from Europe are pretty disliked. Basically the Family color chart meme.

0

u/EmmaDilemma12 17h ago

Im guessing that you're right.

7

u/heyinternetman 17h ago

At least in my rural Kentucky community I find it interesting to see the school doors written in English, then Ukrainian then Spanish. I have a sense of hope that the refugees are finding peace here.

2

u/Big-Compote-5483 13h ago

Take care of them, please. They're about to have their visas revoked.

-5

u/TowelAcrobatic4478 17h ago

Wow that’s incredible. None of that shit here English only 90% of the time.

I love my community. No boys in girls bathrooms or kitty litter boxes in bathrooms yet

7

u/poop_to_live 17h ago

Re kitty litter:

That is absolutely not nor has ever happening except for on emergency buckets in classrooms which are for instances of lockdowns for school shooters and extended emergencies where they can't leave classrooms.

Also please leave trans children alone. No kids are saying that they're cats. It's made up bigotry that harms children.

-4

u/TowelAcrobatic4478 5h ago

Cat/gender dysmorphia sorry brah. We had a litter
Box here at a school. Sorry buddy. We have trans reading to children events here too dude. Sad

2

u/poop_to_live 5h ago

We have people who are reading books to children. Oh the horror.

2

u/poop_to_live 5h ago

Source on that litter box? I bet it was a troll.

7

u/FieldCervixEngineer3 17h ago

They also blew a hole in sarcaphagus around Chernobyl, that risks all of Europe.

3

u/1HappyIsland 16h ago

There are a lot of Ukrainians in my part of South Carolina. I love them being here as do almost everyone. We know they have suffered horribly because of the evil acts of Russia.

1

u/Big-Compote-5483 13h ago

Take care of them please. It's not really something we could imagine what they go though, and they don't show signs of wear, but this war does to damage on them in ways you'd have to see and feel to understand.

6

u/Rtbmack2 14h ago

Love and support to you and your people! The cook where I work had to flee from Chernihiv with his family. I've seen the violence and terror russia has been inflicting on civilians for a long time now. You deserve to be safe, you deserve to be free. SLAVA!

4

u/Big-Compote-5483 13h ago

I'm American. I've been here two years and now serve in their military with no plans to leave after this war freezes/ends. I came here as a volunteer and saw what's going on and will never leave.

The things you say about Ukrainians hold true. And they need all of us to help right now.

2

u/joanzen 12h ago

To be fair, there's also some level of "zero fucks" given in the building and deployment of these weapons to factor in.

One of the reasons they love glide bombs is because the bomber does not need to leave Russian airspace because the bombs glide safely out of the country before they have a chance to hit a target. Otherwise you might have way more in-country friendly-fire deaths than they already do.

Even if you counted up the wasted strikes that missed any target you probably wouldn't accurately come up with a big enough % factor of errors. Once you do have that factor though, it likely still doesn't cover a minor portion of recent Russian crimes?

2

u/MPG54 10h ago

When are the Ukrainians going to start targeting banks? That will get Russia’s attention.

2

u/JLHuston 9h ago

Everyone around the world sees your strength and resilience, and knows that Putin is evil. I’m so sorry for everything that your country has been through. I wish my own president wasn’t so beholden to him. Putin is who he wishes he could be. It’s disgraceful.

2

u/Antraxess 8h ago

Russia also destabilized regions to flood migrants into other countries to destabilized them, while seeding anti immigrant propaganda to tear countries apart and divide attention.

Happening all over Europe, britian and in america

1

u/xboxhaxorz 15h ago

They let the women leave and force the men to stay and fight

1

u/KimesUSN 15h ago

Putin: “Nuh uh”

1

u/YoMomasDaddy 10h ago

I have no sympathy for your Russia.
Your leader, somehow is worse than our US leader.
2 peas in a pod though.
Russia started this war under pretenses that might be worse than Trumps pretenses for starting this war against Iran.
We’re all fucked.

1

u/Fantastic_Nerve_629 9h ago

You guys do whatever you have to do to protect your people at any and all costs to the Russians.

1

u/ContiX 9h ago

If I remember right, their excuse was some bullshit to the effect of "the ukrainians set up military stuff in the hospital to use them as human shields so it was a valid military target and not a civilian target and there weren't actually any children in it and if there were it was their fault".

1

u/harpejjist 7h ago

Question… Zelensky was an actor who turned to politics. No one ever imagined he’d be a military leader like this. What is the feeling amongst Ukrainians still in the Ukraine about him as a leader now? He’s got to be nearing the end of a term limit by now? Or passed it? Is he just going to keep at it until it’s over? Is it even possible to hold elections properly anymore? He’s got a lot of respect from the international community. But I have no idea what actual Ukrainians think of him

1

u/Halfbl00dninja 7h ago

Or you know, the multiple times they have shelled, bombed, and missiled the fucking Chernobyl Sarcophagus.

1

u/iriefuse024 6h ago

Unbelievably sad. Stay strong brother.

1

u/PHRDito 5h ago

And those who stay behind are to be raped, tortured, and murdered, or conscripted to fight their next war.

You forgot one of the worst, children getting abducted to Russia, used as hostages and sent everywhere in Russia, getting their identity erased...

With everything Putin has done and ordered, I just don't understand how some countries still remain on their side, and that we, as Europeans still do business with those countries...

1

u/dirty_sprite_au 2h ago

This is so difficult to accept. I’m sorry this is happening to your country.

u/pomidoe 41m ago

I don't see any downsides

u/Blast_From_The_Pa_ 2m ago

U r so full of $hit, mr. Destabilizing my a$$. 😁😁😁 People fled because of war. Interpretation of your words could be USA attacked Syria and Lybia to destabilize Europe (mainly Germany and Austria)!!! A lot of Syrians fled to Europe. I am there in Vienna, so I know it.

344

u/CocoMilhonez 19h ago

They sent a drone to bomb the fucking Chernobyl power plant ffs. Damaging the protective cover that took years to build and is nearly impossible to be fully repaired for zero military benefit whatsoever only to cause panic for civilians is some of the most irresponsible, pettiest actions of this entire war.

Of course, I'm not minimizing countless other direct attacks against strictly civilian targets that cost many lives, but this illustrates how Ruzzia pretense of fairness and legitimacy is just bullshit.

165

u/Relative_Mix_216 18h ago

… And then they sent their own troops to dig trenches in the radioactive dirt

They’re so damn dumb

113

u/disdain7 18h ago

You left out the part about how they also hunted local wildlife and cooked the meat over fires started with wood from local trees. I wonder how those guys are doing these days?

81

u/AdIll6213 17h ago

It was not part of the plan for those guys to survive for very long, so being exposed to radioactive materials was probably of very little concern to the russian leaders.

I mean, how were they supposed to know? There's no HBO MAX there!

5

u/More_Passenger3988 15h ago edited 14h ago

They're not dumb though- They have a long history of "throwing bodies" at their enemy. Just sending their men off to war knowing that they're sending them to suicide missions figuring that the kamakazi method will eventually pay off.

There have been times in Russia when it did I guess... (at the cost of families and the economic success of Russia I would argue) but not this time.

9

u/weirdo_nb 18h ago

Like, the dirt that has gradually built up had mildly contained it, emphasis on had

4

u/SixSpeedDriver 15h ago

They're not dumb. They (their leadership) doesn't care.

2

u/brutinator 18h ago

Ehh, itll take years for the exposure to give them cancer, and by then Russia will have either thrown them into the meat grinder or toss them aside.

8

u/Relative_Mix_216 17h ago

I heard reports they were already suffering from mild radiation sickness

1

u/Affectionate_Shirt_2 7h ago

No, they just don’t care about their people.

1

u/That-Comfortable-762 1h ago

You mean the conscripted prisoners that were supposed to die anyway?

5

u/Satta23 17h ago

I didn’t even know this what the actual fuck.

FUCK RUSSIA.

10

u/CocoMilhonez 17h ago

More information here.

Ruzzia also bombed a building that stores spent nuclear fuel about 9 miles away from the Chernobyl power plant a couple of months back.

5

u/well_thats_obvious 8h ago

This is literally nuclear terrorism, but just like Russias other war crimes it was glossed over by the media and forgotten about.

2

u/Eye_yam_stew_ped 17h ago

Welcome to war. It’s why I’m a big history buff. I’m sure Russia harboring hate from WW2, same for Israel in their situation with the mandate and everything that followed.. although they are getting some daddy’s money help lol. But yeah, even though it’s not justifiable to us.. it is to them. I’ve been reading ordinary men and one of my favorite quotes was in the preface, "When all is said and done, a single word ‘understanding,’ is the beacon light of our studies." I’m sure we’ll never get it if we’re bombing radioactive zones lol.. but it sounds good at least

5

u/flat5 17h ago

What a fucking chode. "We are attempting to help ourselves to your entire country, but we were sure you would consider nearly all of ours off limits".

5

u/ScottOld 15h ago

Refineries? You mean the place you get oil from to turn to petrol to power your military vehicles?

4

u/gelastes 17h ago

Maybe you can help me. I'm looking for the Kherkovka dam and reservoir but I only find some wetlands. Am I in the wrong spot?

4

u/Potential_Aide_3227 15h ago

“We can hit whatever the fuck, but Ukrainians can only blow up things on this list.” - Putin

Turns out everything is on the list.

5

u/69Blazing 10h ago

He didn't think infrastructure would be a target in this type of conflict, but also threatens our infrastructure (germany) as retaliation for the new sanctions.

There were multiple attempts in the last days to sabotage multiple power plants. It's so exhausting with this piece of shit.

3

u/LeppieDoo 18h ago

A big one that comes to mind was the decimation of Azovstal Iron and Steel Works which was a large producer of Steel and Iron worldwide. This was a civilian production plant that was besieged by Russian forces in 2022 with workers and later Ukrainian soldiers retreating into the Soviet era bunker network beneath to hide away from the heavy shelling that was inflicted on the site.

This was also the place which became the last stand for those Soldiers.

3

u/tar625 18h ago

July, 2017

NotPetya cyber attack

It stopped 1/3rd of Ukraine's economy for 3 days, knocked the power grid offline and spread to infect computers outside Ukraine as well.

3

u/etork90 17h ago

You would also think a children’s Cancer hospital would also be off-limits, but here we are!

3

u/libertarianinus 17h ago

Are they still trying to say they are fighting Nazis in Ukrain? Hope the people who belived that feel like stupid sheep.
