[We] assumed that these were purely civilian facilities and could not be targets of any kind of attacks

Putin's hypocrisy remains one of his most defining traits. The piece of shit cannot get his subscription to Life cancelled soon enough.

(Edit: But unbelievably, Tankie fuckfaces on Reddit will arrive arguing that Ukraine is wrong to do these strikes)

That’s the problem with pieces of shit like Putin and Trump, their life subscriptions run way too long.

And. Trump likes him better than Carney.

Likely as Putin helped him get elected.

He's kissing every dictator's ass: his favorites.

It’s literally Russian culture at this point to be like this though. Like it’s an actual poison, they just deny reality and lie without an ounce of shame. How can you deal with a whole country built on bad faith?

How can you deal with a whole country built on bad faith?

A huge percentage of the United States is the same way.

It all comes down to, how determined are the people who aren't lying assholes to stop tolerating the culture of lies and bullshit?

30% or so of Americans voted for Trump (that’s of all Americans, not just eligible voters). If he were to run for office again the percentage would be far smaller, everyone knows.

Therefore you are either a self-hater (if American yourself) or a propaganda spewer.

77,302,580÷340,100,00=.2272

That's 22.72% of the whole US population.

AKA: not the majority

Yep this is ringing through my head during this conversation: the u.s. is putin in the gaza conflict, the iran conflict; a superpower expects to run in and just suddenly take over

surprised pikachu face that they DARE to stand up to a much bigger empire

Really, these conflicts serve to galvanize the population against the foreign oppression, having the exact opposite effect

What are Tankies?

11

u/Constant-Plant-9378 16h ago

Tankies are a subset of leftist political commentators and activists who defend or downplay the actions of authoritarian socialist regimes, particularly those of the former Soviet Union, Maoist China, and other state-led communist governments.

In short, Tankies are fucking dipshits who think Stalin and Mao were great without reservation.

They are as stupid as monarchists or people who say Hitler did nothing wrong. They just enjoy Dictatorship served with Communism-flavored Kool Aid.

Authoritarians can emerge on either side of the lane, and both are utterly ridiculous and lead their countries respectively to disaster. Even when it works, it comes at costs, and we see it in how China, Germany, Japan, and even now the US slowly, suffered as a result of that way of thinking being pervasive. At best, it's short term gains. North Korea is the defining example of, even when it goes right for authoritarians, it ends up just making national decline and stifling innovation long term because you end up so embargo'd eventually you can't advance or compound wealth in GDP growth because there is none. I don't understand tankies, nor do I understand whatever the right wing version would be considered. I hate knowing history, because sadly it's clear a lot of people don't understand it and thus are happy to repeat it or cherry pick what they like.

Authoritarians can emerge on either side of the lane

True. Authoritarianism and Fascism are equal-opportunity employers.

The horseshoe theory of politics shows that the extreme ends on the Left and Right are actually very close together on how they actually behave. Extremism lends itself to authoritarianism. Just look at how readily George W. Bush exploded the scale of Federal Law Enforcement and unconstitutional mass surveillance, and how readily Barak Obama doubled down on doing the same. Right/Left - doesn't matter - and both sides use identity politics to stoke division and distract from their toadying to the Epstein class. If either side is vomiting bullshit into the atmosphere about Trans issues, be sure they are deliberately trying to distract you from their fucking you over.

Though (with the exception of a small but growing number of progressives) I would argue we don't really have a 'Left' in mainstream politics today. Just extreme right and right of center.

Good grief

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tankie

In general they are socialists/communists who want totalitarian control.

On Russia there are some split opinions, but in general many tnakies support Russia because they see them as fighters against the capitalist, imperial west.

Also many of them tend to be socially conservative.

2

u/Stargun5502 14h ago

Which is utterly stupid, like if someone believes in totalitarian socialist or communist control, against a capitalist society, yet is conservative socially? That is just a dumb combination, because even if they win, the Soviets had a track record of starving their population even if they did the conservative thing of basically narrowing values to one set. I can understand and sympathize with being against late stage massively corrupt capitalism with corporate ownership of everything milking consumers dry and being against imperialism, but it also should not mean by the advocating for a just as bad, if not even more exploitable system, that also promotes imperialism.

Theyre worse than tankies at least the idol of the tankies won his wars.

1

u/Tangolarango 6h ago

not to mention the dam they busted, when they were afraid of a counter-offensive

Just keep repeating the same lies over and over, your "team" eats it up and that's all that matters.

Edit: guess context was lost, I’m referring to Putin not what this person wrote

6

u/Constant-Plant-9378 17h ago

Works for Russians and MAGAs.

1

u/jhuseby 12h ago

That’s who I was referring to

1

u/EvilynSoCute 13h ago

Disprove these lies, then. Show us proof of your claim.

Oh wait, you can’t.

-12

u/galacticjuggernaut 17h ago

Well people say it's Putin but it's really his generals and stuff. I would not be surprised if Putin didn't know about some of the orders on these things. I only suspect because i used to party/travel with Russians and they're freaking crazy. And to any Russians, I had the best times, but you have to admit you're frickin crazy. The men and the women haha.

3

u/EvilynSoCute 13h ago

You’re crazy if you believe this. Putin absolutely knows what’s going on at all times with this war. He’s by far the main reason it’s going still.
