Little announcement from the mods at r/Stance
my old 99 e46
Hi everyone,
I want to make a formal announcement regarding where this subreddit is at and some rules we are putting in place moving forward.
First, there has been a massive influx of bots across Reddit lately. To combat this and keep the spam out of our feed, we have officially implemented AutoMod rules for new and low-karma accounts. If you are a real person with a new account, bear with us while you build up some history.
Second, our subreddit is getting bigger. With the rise of engagement optimization on Reddit, our content is being pushed out and shown to a lot more people. That means there will be more people seeing these pictures who absolutely despise this niche of automotive culture.
Because of that, you need to understand something: this is not a place for soft people. If you ask people what they think of your car and you don't like the answer, it is not grounds for you to just claim harassment and spam the report button. This niche was always the bastard child of the car scene. You owning a car does not make you a part of a protected class. I do not stand for personal attacks against the actual person, but if you're posting your car to be judged, be prepared for your car to be judged. Not everyone here will brainlessly agree with your styling choices.
Finally, let's talk about AI. I do not want this group flooded with AI slop. This is a group of automotive enthusiasts doing real automotive things. I don't think any of us want to see an AI version of your car pretending to do automotive things. If you are starting a serious discussion and you are using an AI generation strictly for a visual representation of an idea, try it. We’ll see how it goes. But low-effort filler content will probably be removed
Edit: Some additional notes
If you post photos of a car, and pretend that it is yours / pretend that you've done the work on it, or anything along those lines, in my eyes it's an immediate ban. Car culture has no space for frauds and imposters.
Do not hate on r/Shitty_Car_Mods - it's one of my favorite subreddits. Just because they don't like your car does not make them wrong.
I might be changing the definition of "stance" in the near future as seen on the sidebar. I think my decision to use the term broadly is being weaponized to try and justify doing a poor job at stancing a car. I want for us to be an inclusive, friendly, and knowledgeable community. One that is willing to share and teach. But I also do not want to cultivate an environment of soft skinned delusional car owners who are not willing to learn what this life is really about.
Lack of moderation: I know this is true. Because of my belief in freedom of speech, I've generally allowed for us to self moderate as a community. But with how much slop we have, I do know that I need to add to the mod team. I already have somebody in mind for this; somebody who is an industry leader and have been in the game probably since the very beginning. So that may happen behind the scenes.

Got New Wheels For The Midnight Purple BMW
I’m from the UK and picked up a set of Joka - Banzi which are a replicas of the BMW’s 763M wheels. They are 19x8.5j et 34 front and 19x9.5j et 40 rears. Tyres are 235/35 front and 265/30 for the rears. 10mm spacers on the front and 12mm spacers for the rears. On stock suspension just now but thinking of going coilovers to stiffen up the bounce. Each time I go over bumps etc, the back tyres just rubs ever so slightly.

Need help!
Id needing help is possible, I'm working on a project for my car. Its a 2021 kia forte GT on rev9 hyperstreet 2 coilovers and i and wanting to install my swift springs in the rear but i cannot find a coilover perches that fit a 86 to 87 mm outer diameter spring with a 65mm inner diameter. I've reached out to ysr, mookeh and godspeed for advice but haven't gotten any responses. People are finally starting to do things to these cars but i imagine
I'm the first to try this project. Any advice or info on who might have the correct perches i need would be awesome! Thanks!

+20 Offset Wheels?
I have a 2014 328 and found a great local deal on some black 18x8 +20 offset wheels. I understand my stocks are +35 so I'd be moving the wheel out towards the fender 15mm. Is this too far? Anyone with real world experience running this offset? I'm dropped an inch too with an Eibach pro kit.

Stance family?
Just the daily drivers of my younger brothers, at our annual sibling gathering yesterday, for the birthday of one of my younger brothers. Birthday boy is a Dad of three young girls, and smarter than the rest of us, as he only drives bone stock vehicles, having two Caravans in his driveway, so no, none if these belong to him. 😂
- '04 F150 crew cab sport box (getting ready for major body resurrection) 5/7 drop, CAI, Borla exhaust, mild tune (done by previous owner)
- '05 Volvo V70R. Volvo's 4C multi-mode suspension swapped out for coil-overs, when the factory magnetic struts failed
- '11 Audi S5. Other than Niche wheels, and coil-overs, it's stock
edit: LOL! I forgot how dirty my brother's V70R actually was (last photo) from stopping at a local apple orchard for dessert on the way, so yeah, he was given a hard time about it. 😂

work in progress
needs a lot more love and a good alignment
Any more wiggle room / other options
I installed my front coils yesterday, what options do I have to drop it more? I’m a noob and get confused, sorry! Can I compress the pre load? I’m not too worried about the ride quality.
I thought i bought the extreme lows but it’s the regular bc coilovers. Is my next only option to change the spring. Unfortunately the return window closed :(
Thanks!
If addition pictures are needed I can take them!
