Don’t think we’ll ever truly appreciate the insanity and fun that was HUSTLE.

I understand people have criticisms about the kid. But I'm wondering if he would be received differently if he worked in NJPW or NOAH.

For me it is Kento Miyahara, he has an incredible aura, and puts on a lot of the best matches in puro and had helped carry AJPW to the a good level in terms of popularity, while Yuma Anzai and the Saito Brothers have brought attention through their media apparences and that is commendable (Anzai is up there, and Saitos are great and different), Kento really is the best of the best and has been for years, and has a great young roster to keep him fresh.

I think Kenoh and Kaito Kiyamiya are excellent and are not too far behind, but the company has lost its spark, it doesn't have the aura it had and they could be booked better.

NJPW is doing better then it was, and Oiwa could really be the guy, but we have to wait and see how it goes, I think if he is positioned as the ace he could do wonderfully in that role, and would have him there over Umino and Tsuji who can be great, but aren't at the top level imo. (tier below really)

KZY time in DG, and he has been excellent for a while. YAMATO can be great but can be ehh (is great now)

After watching this match live as it happened and then rewatching it again a couple of days ago, and seeing the reaction and discourse surrounding this match. It made me wonder, what if this match took place anywhere else besides Japan like say (America or even England)? Don’t get me wrong, this match was amazing and personally this was the best match from NJPW this year so far. But still, I have to wonder does the location and the style of match get the same reaction if it was anywhere else? Let me know what you think in the comments section.

I wanted to share this because it was actually super wholesome.

To those who don't know what "I can't wait until you give up!" World Pro Wrestling was...it was NJPW's attempt to increase ratings in 1987 when they had their flagship show be part variety part wrestling...the best way to describe it is...

Imagine if Monday Night RAW was part Pat Mcafee Show and part actual wrestling.

The Television ratings went down every single-week. Funnily enough, there are actually some segments that I think were interesting, but on this same episode you had the Infamous story of Kuniko Yamada, the girl on the right, asking Hiroshi Hase an insanely dumb question of something like "does the blood stop when you get backstage?" and then Hase getting pretty rude with her. Knowing the full context now it feels like Hase didn't want to be on there in general just by his facial expression though how much of that is kayfabe or not, I don't know.
