He and I have the shaving (or using clippers at least for me) for a home haircut in common because salons are too fucking expensive. It’s been 7 years since I’ve had a haircut at a salon. Not even sure how much I’ve saved, but the clippers were $40 and the scissors I use were about $5. That’s about how much I used to pay for one haircut.

Me too, I've been to a hair dresser twice in the last decade. I have a friend that goes every month, at $35 a pop.

So $4200 vs $45 on clippers and scissors, and 120 on two fancier trims to give me a good baseline of a new style.

I started cutting my husband’s hair during Covid after watching a YouTube tutorial. He thought it was good enough and hasn’t been back to the salon since.
