Anyone unhappy with their web design? I can redesign it for free
If your current web design feels dated, unfinished, or just doesn’t fit the business anymore, I’d be happy to take a look.
Share a link, tell me a little about the business, and let me know what bothers you most about the current design. If you’re starting something new, you can tell me what you have in mind instead.
I’ll start with a few and put together a free web design mockup for each one. I’m especially interested in hearing from small businesses doing something positive for their customers, employees, or community.

Figure skating
Looking for info on where to take my daughter for figure skating lessons. I know we can start in a general learn to skate, but she does not want want to do hockey. Any suggestions? I've only seen the Toyota sportsplex but their options seem limited. TIA
What are these? Eatable? Where do I test wild mushrooms for that? I have too much by my house

Best self serve car wash?
I go to jetz 3 car wash in Carbondale as it’s right by where I work but I was wondering if anyone knows of a better self service car wash throughout all of the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area as they are always out of soap and chemicals in the bays and I’ve had some change eaten occasionally. Any help greatly appreciated

PA inspection shop at Luzerne County says I need a whole new windshield for this tiny passenger-side chip - is that actually required?
Hey everyone, looking for some advice about a PA safety inspection.
I recently registered my 2020 Hyundai Accent in Luzerne County after buying it from a friend in out of state. I took it to a local inspection shop.
The car passed emissions, but they wouldn't give me the safety inspection sticker because of a small rock chip in the windshield. The chip is pretty tiny (around 1 inch or less) and is on the passenger side, not in the driver's line of sight. I'll attach pictures.
The shop told me the windshield needs to be replaced and quoted me $260 installed. They gave me 90 days to get it taken care of.
What I'm confused about is why the entire windshield needs to be replaced instead of having the chip professionally repaired with resin. From what I've been reading, small chips like this can often be repaired, especially when they're not in the driver's viewing area.
I'm planning to take it to an auto-glass shop for a second opinion. If they say the chip is repairable and professionally repair it, should that normally be enough to pass PA safety inspection?
Also, can a PA inspection station still require me to replace the entire windshield even after a professional repair? If anyone here is a PA inspection mechanic or has dealt with something similar, I'd really appreciate your input.
I'm not trying to give the shop a hard time. I just don't want to replace an entire windshield if a proper $50–100 repair would legally and safely solve the problem.

Old Kirby Park, Wilkes Barre
I know most of the people on here are my age or younger, but I was wondering if anyone had old pictures of what the park used to look like. Particularly the slide. I remember going to that park so often as a kid, but I only have like two pictures

Has anyone seen some AI doctored images on a listing that have turned you away? Or have you been surprised when you showed up to listing for a tour and it looked very different that in appeared in pictures? Would love to hear some local stories.

Wyoming Valley mall dying
I moved away from the area years ago and visit family once in a while. Went on a Thursday evening. Food court closed. Most stores seemed to be long gone. Eerily quiet. Was here 4-5 years ago and it seemed to somewhat be making a comeback. As a kid in the 90’s, it was always so busy.

Anyone else feeling robbed of pool season in NEPA this summer?
Seems like this summer in particular we only had like maybe 10ish decent days to enjoy what would be considered good pool weather . Long-range weather models basically agree that summer for the most part (temps in the 80s) is gone ..

Northern lights, the Milky Way, stars, and a Falcon 9 rocket.
Took my adult kids camping in Equinunk last weekend, and was able to capture all this in 2 nights.
The white blobs in 2 of the photos are a Falcon 9 rocket that launched from California.
We saw the first one that launched from Florida, but my camera wasn’t near me.
Second to last photo has the Northern Lights and the Milky Way over the Delaware.

Stand Strong 5k Run & Walk
5k and 1.5 mile fun walk to help raise money for archbalds legal fund against inasivr data center developers. Please share with other groups who may be interested, thank you! 💛🌻🏃
Next meeting: Wildcat Ridge 9/9/26 at Valley View High School, 5pm! This is the NINTH hearing for this project alone, they seem to be trying to exhaust our funds. There are several other applications with ongoing hearings as well. We potentially have a new 7th data center application coming soon too.

Mom from NEPA looking for a friend
Mom from NEPA looking for a friend! 💛
Looking to meet another mom who’s up for chatting about parenthood, life, the highs and lows—and lots of laughing along the way. Bonus points if you’re into working out too! 🏋️♀️
Would love to find someone to grab coffee with, go for a walk/workout, or just talk about life and mom things. Making new friends as an adult can be hard, so I figured I’d put it out there! 😊

Best way for a married couple to meet people our age around Wilkes Barre?
Hey all,
My wife(34F) and I(29M) recently relocated to the area from South Carolina and are struggling to find ways/ opportunities to meet people our age. We've been to a couple of events in the area and checked out the trails at ricketts, as well as the tubbs, but making friends is proving to be kinda difficult.
She's from the area originally and definitely loves being back here. While I do think it's beautiful up here -- I'm finding it much harder to have a sense of place up here, and I think finding some kind of community up here would help that a ton.
Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Star trails over the Delaware, Equinunk.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Not a NEPA resident, but I’ve spent a lot of time visiting since the 70’s up till now. Usually solo motorcycle trips.
Took my adult children camping on the Delaware this weekend to show them how beautiful it is.
Left my camera in the river overnight Friday to get this video.
Saturday night I was able to photograph a space x rocket, the Milky Way and the northern lights. I don’t think I’ll ever have a better weekend as a photographer or a dad.
I’ll make another post to show the photos.
Hope you all enjoy this
