For context i had already paid for everyone to go to an escape room since he likes that kinda stuff and it was abt 35 per person for a group of 6. Money was alr kinda tight before the escape room but i genuinely couldn’t afford to take anyone out to eat. Everyone else loved it and even grabbed seconds but I could tell he was disappointed by it. I feel bad abt it so maybe i could make it up to him by taking him out when i have the money.

he loves thai food so i made red curry over rice + spring rolls and cucumber salad but eb ate those before i could get a pic

edit: for everyone asking me if he ever said he was mad he didn’t explicitly say so but all this happened yesterday and he hasn’t talked to me since then which is highly unusual ( for eb telling me to text him i took a ss it’s in the comments )

I usually top up my dogs inside water bowl multiple times a day (400 ml cup of tap water each time). He usually prefers to drink inside. I washed out his bowl twice this week, both times filled it with fresh water straight from the kitchen tap and he wouldn’t touch it for multiple days both times. He was drinking outside instead, but not enough for my liking, so I switched to wet food for extra hydration. I was contemplating taking him to the vet, if he kept not drinking inside, ready to drop multiple hundreds of dollars on tests for his bladder and kidney function, since he’s getting older now.

Decided to clean his inside bowl a third time tonight, but I put it down empty and filled it up with the cup I usually use, instead of filling it straight from the tap.

He started drinking within minutes and guzzled down close to a litre of water in less than an hour. My dog apparently thinks that ‘inside cup water’ from the bathroom is different/superior to straight tap water from the kitchen, but will still drink straight tap water from his outside bowl that he sees me filling up in the laundry sink. My dog is an idiot

Edit: some people are confused about the size of my dogs water bowl. It takes over a litre of water. The cup I top it up with takes about 400ml, if I don’t fill it up all the way. I’m clumsy and half the time will spill some of the contents of his bowl, if it’s full and I carry it around between rooms. So I just top it up during the day with the cup (have used the cup pretty much exclusively for years now) until it’s time to do a complete swap over in the morning.

I also fill up the cup in the kitchen half the time, if I don’t want to go in the bathroom when it’s cold. He drinks water from all throughout the house without issues, if it gets delivered in his cup. He’s just a diva.

There’s an allsups down the street from my house, I was craving some coconut juice so I decided to drop by. Mind you it’s was probably 11:45 when I got there so it’s a little late but for a gas station that’s normal. As soon as I walked in the old white clerk looked me up and down and gave me a pretty nasty look but he greeted me, and I said hello despite feeling the vibe already. I grabbed my juice and headed to the counter put my stuff down when he asks me for my id I was puzzled but I obliged and gave it to him, this man looks me up and down again looks at my id flips it over and holds it up in the light then scans it. It’s pretty infuriating to be reminded that some ppl do extra shit just because you look different. I wished him a good night, told him God bless you and left.

Edit: I left a google review before I made this post yesterday, and for those saying I should have asked why he was carding me, my main goal is to get home to my wife I didn’t want any issues.

My wife came back from the store and said that someone rear-ended her just enough to scrape the bumper. I went out and looked at it, and it had been hit hard enough to leave an impression of their license plate (not readable). She said it seemed like the old man was drinking or on something and she let them go.

I was mad because she let someone go that had damaged the car and could possibly be a danger to other people.

But, as I’m writing this, I realized that my wife may have backed into another car and drove away, and doesn’t wanna tell me.

I was very hung over and of course needed some Taco Bell. As I pulled in, I noticed this huge Fifth wheel parked on the wrong side of the road. I pulled into the drive through and saw this. Not to mention they were also parked in front of a fire hydrant. Guy at the window said, “not gunna lie, they have been there awhile.”

Restaurant I worked at closed due to rent increases. I got transferred and now. A 20 minute walk to work requires me to get on this bus with no shade! Temps reached 104 today. I also can’t just wait somewhere else since this is next to and and the bus will no stop if I’m not at the bus stop

We have a newborn and our house is getting up to 82 thankfully the nursery has every fan and portable AC unit keeping it cold, but for every other room its been a nightmare with a heat index of 105. Then we open the door to see that mold has been growing. They have ignored 3 work orders put in and I'm about to become a Karen I swear to God

New Starbucks cups were made available in stores today. Most cups seem to have been snatched up by resellers to make a quick buck. Retails for $35.

Meaning I have to exit through a side door to grab it. It feels like it'd be so easy not to do it, but maybe I expect too much from the drivers in my area.
