I get to school very early, at 6:50 to 7:00. There was nobody else in the parking lot so I pulled up as close to the edge as I could to be out of people’s way. There was nobody parked next to me when I went to go home, so clearly I wasn’t blocking anybody in, and I wasn’t parked crooked. And what’s wrong with Subarus?!

Edit: Guys I know I should’ve taken a picture, but I had to get to practice quickly and didn’t think of it. Considering bringing the note back with either grammar corrections, or “thanks for the compliment” written on the back and seeing what happens. If I get another note I promise to take a picture.

Edit 2: when I say “edge” it’s the edge of the woods. The student lot is essentially just a gravel patch. There are no parking lines and there is no curb or sidewalk.

Edit 3: Guys I get it, I should’ve taken pictures of my parking job. I also have only had my license for 4-5 months, so my parking honestly could have just been shit and I might be oblivious. I feel I’m pretty ok at parking but I don’t know now.

Fingie for scale. This is one of the stickers and it’s exactly how it looks- a cotton pad entombed in a plastic sticker. This company used every scummy tactic in the book to sell these stupid things and I was curious enough to look at the patent.

To summarize, the patent uses some word salad and cites seemingly related phenomena to explain how a cotton pad soaked in glycerin and copper peptides within a sticker can improve blood flow and energy and shit without putting anything into the body. In other words, it’s useless and whatever is in the cotton pad does nothing. It’s frustrating how this product preys on middle aged people with little medical knowledge to sell this at insane markups.

Oh and the owner lives in a giant mansion. Go figure.

Last edit: for those of you saying the placebo effect can be helpful, you are mistaken. For the price of these things you’re better off paying for actual, effective medical treatment instead. The placebo effect masks issues and does not fix them, possibly making their issue last longer or get worse untreated.

I’ve been working 45-50 hours a week as a bartender/manager at a country club for the past couple years, it’s good money and contributing to my future, but man it is surprisingly difficult listening to the wild shit that constantly emanates from the mouths of these rich, old, white men.

Everything in this paragraph I’ve heard this week: I overheard a member calling my manager a whore because she was wearing an outfit that showed one shoulder and her bra strap. Another member was watching a women’s golf tournament and made a comment about it being a “bad wet t-shirt contest.” The N-word once. Another rehashing of the Michael Brown case that happened what, a decade ago? Very sarcastic and degrading comments about the “genocide” in Gaza. Comments about how certain foreign born US citizens who hold various political offices should be deported. Really condescending comments toward trans people. And a comment by a member about how they were confused as to how this black, bald woman could’ve possibly landed a job on TV as a news anchor. Oh, and comments about how my generation (I’m 25) are all lazy and don’t know how to work all coming from the mouths of 65+ year olds. All this week.

I’m not trying to turn this into a political rant and argument in the comments. I’m also not trying to come off as this stereotypical Redditor who can’t handle an opinion that isn’t left-wing or who gets offended by everything, but my goodness working this job feels like I’m watching Fox News on site. Meeting people who legitimately hold opinions that I thought were left-wing caricatures and exaggerations of real people has been surreal, and I’m looking forward to moving on with my life.

I just got a new office job where I do schedules for tech personnel, the office runs 8-5 Monday thru Friday...they say it's 8-5 because you get an hour lunch and "you need to get to 40 hours a week"...but I drive 30 min each way so now I'm giving this company 10 hours every day! I even asked if I could just take my lunch at 4 every day and just leave an hour early but that's "unprofessional and immoral" like what the fuck??? I don't mind the job but the hours are mildly infuriating that's for sure...

Edit:for those saying about the hours, I worked as a chef for the last 20 years working 60+ hours a week over a hot stove/deep fryer the whole time, after I had my second heart attack I had to slow down so I started looking for office jobs to work a nice 9-5, just to find out I'm giving my new job 50 hours a week (including drive time) so I was just mildly annoyed that it's not 40 hours a week in an office like I thought although it's still much better than what I was doing

I can’t remember a time where the seat belt fit me like it was supposed to. I’m 5’1 with a larger chest and the belt always ends up resting uncomfortably on my neck.

Sometimes, the front seats have the height toggle thing that makes it slightly better. Better as in the belt doesn’t slice my neck quite so high.

Should be extremely infuriating, but this doesn’t even phase me anymore. Cases like this where the belt is literally on my face just cause mild annoyance.

Edit: In case I wasn’t clear enough, I am aware of the height adjustment mechanism and this belt did not have it. Only the front seats of the car had it. I’m in the back seat of a cab.

Another edit: This is a Honda CRV hybrid. While I wish I could say that I’ve never had a seatbelt rest on my face, it’s not unusual. It’s usually just my neck, but in a lot of cars it ends up closer to my face if I’m not sitting completely upright the whole time.

I don’t own a car, so I haven’t invested in booster seats and such. I don’t want to have to lug a whole safety operation around whenever I ride a cab.

I’m a mom and a wive, every morning when I wake up my husband rushes for the bathroom. We only have the one, which wouldn’t be a problem if my husband was normal and used the bathroom for a normal amount of time!

At this point I’m starting a petition, anyone who spends 30 minutes in the bathroom regularly no longer gets to use it, nope now you go outside because you can’t live in civilized society. I’m obviously joking and just frustrated.

Every morning he gets to relieve himself when he needs to probably enjoying reels in peace while he’s in there. My morning routine? I wake up throw on clothes, take the dogs for a walk, we have two and I have to do it separately. Then I make breakfast for everyone. It’s normally at this point that I’m tired of holding it, I’m human and I also need to poop. So I yell up that he needs to hurry, though he’s taken to saying “you rush me every fn morning” YEAH! You’re in there 30+ minutes every morning!

I’ve done all my morning things and written this post and he’s still in there. Anyways please sign my petition to make my husband shit outside like the inconsiderate animal he is.

Edit: I just want to pop in a say, I enjoy my morning routine, I just would enjoy it more with an empty bladder. We have chores, but my morning walk/run is for me. I make breakfast when my stomach growls. This to me is not a chore.

As for waking up earlier, I do a lot of the times but he gets up early as is and some days I need the rest I’m missing.

As for what’s the hold up? The man doesn’t drink water. I’d drown him if it would make him drink but he just hates the stuff. He also might be just hiding in there like many have pointed out. I’m honestly fine with that, as long as he lets me have a turn before I explode.

For the most part they're colour coded... there's not enough apps of certain colours to make a whole folder for them so it's not perfect but it works for me.

The IT guy at my work hates it with a passion though.

I have swapped the notes app and pencil app ('sketchbook' for thoes that do digital art but can't afford the expensive apps) and have changed the Google font back to standard... in my defense it's been like that since a teen and I stopped noticing it until all the comments about it... I 100% agree, it is straight up ugly and an eyesore.

I see these posts daily, yet no one seems to make the connection.

Edit: yes, this particular case seems to be bottle mouth/ not brushing at all. But I see these posts very frequently (I’m not apart of these groups, FB just suggests them to me) and often times it’s parents who have said their dentist told them their kids have cavities, and they still refuse to use fluoride toothpaste and look for alternatives to their alternative that got them here in the first place.

All of these stories are testimony’s on how important it is to take your children’s health seriously. My heart is with everyone sharing their story ❤️
