Because all religion and spirituality are entirely predicated upon emotional intensity. Otherwise all the mythology would be any other story, the morality tales would be legalism, and the cognitive beliefs would be like any other information consumed

Religion maybe. Spirituality is different. Spirituality doesn't require background stories or mythology. It's a seperate state of being and practice of faith all together.

Not just that, it represents a fundamentally egocentric and backwards worldview where reality is expected to conform to what you already believe of it rather than basing your beliefs on reality and adjusting to new or changed evidence. They decide what’s true before investigating it - a philosophy based on preconceived notions and a huge amount of “because I said so”.
