And then with your time off you have to see ads at every screen and open space so they can keep making money off of you even when you're not working.

The scene in altered carbon is coming one day. The guy is a fresh outta the tubes clone and installs a ubiquitous neural ink type thing to connect to future internet™ by himself. He the nanosecond he does he's bombarded by ads, so much so he's totally incapacitated from the pure stimulus to every sense even tho he's like a superhuman pro max version of clones. His handler saves him by installing ad blockers and berates him for connecting to the net without one haha
