… you get a lot more from the $22/mo than just cloud gaming, you know that right? Large libraries of games on both Xbox and PC, including a good amount of day one releases. This isn’t a limit on gaming, it’s the cloud service that almost nobody uses.

Cloud gaming is an incidental fringe benefit for gamepass subscribers.

Most of the people outraged don’t even have Gamepass, they’re just assuming Microsoft is “testing the waters” to take away all our ownership. But if that was the case, wouldn’t they just shift a bunch of games to cloud exclusive or simply raise the price of Gamepass to account for the issue? Almost nobody uses cloud gaming on Xbox. 4% of subscribers are affected by this, and there isn’t a price hike, and there aren’t any other features being dropped.

It’s not a rational reaction, people are just wanting to see the worst possible reason for everything now.
